Located in Ancenis, in the heart of an 80-hectare forest, the Hôtel Le Domaine des Lys is an 18th-century château. The front desk is open until 4:30 p.m. Self-check-in is available via a key box. - The property is clearly designed for conferences & weddings and not so well set for overnight visitors - for example, there were no restaurant or bar facilities available, so we had to go out for dinner despite arriving at around 8pm.

- Reception closed (but the receptionist came after some time and said that the door was very hard to open, she wanted to show us and was locked out too :-). But she took us to our room saying that the keys are in the room, but actually the room was closed too, we just had to wait a little for her to get the key. The restaurant was closed and we had expected dinner (but we were served an cold dish after asking). The place felt a bit "deserted" as a chateau forgotten by it's owners. We did not like the interior decorating style, a very low bed, modern strong colors. We did not have breakfast.
