Pros +
- Very friendly and helpful hotel staff, decent breakfast - but slightly "different" to what we are used to from our trips to Spain , France and Germany. Rooms were OK for the stay, but You can feel their age already. But to give a perspective - it might be caused by us being influenced by some higher end hotels in Spain.
- perfect location , short distance to the train station, the center and the sea. Very friendly staff, beautiful room and hotel. Comfortable bed and pillows and great breakfast. I highly recommend it .
- location great, pool area lovely, staff very helpful and friendly. parking available.
Cons -
- Regarding hotel and staff - we didnt find anything negative. BUT - this area of Italy is really not for us. Everything is cramped and feels a bit dirty and old, people dont stick to traffic rules and smoke everywhere. And the biggest downside - paid beaches. You want to be on a beach and enjoy the sea? You have to pay - and not a little - 30-40 euro / umbrella with 2 seats. Its absolutely crazy and we never saw it in Spain (Costa del Sol, Costa Daurada) or Cote d Azur. Thats the reason why we will never return to this part of Italy, sorry :( Also these paid beaches with their cabins completely blocked view of beach and sea when walking on the promenade.Yes there are "free public beaches" - like 4 meters wide strip between two paid areas in between fence. Felt like prison. Ratio of paid and unpaid strips was like 95% vs 5%
- Only wished the pool was heated as it was end of season and very cold
- Decorator a bit dated.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful great location
Only wished the pool was heated as it was end of season and very cold
Clean, beds very comfortable, pool lovely. Able to park our car securely.
Decorator a bit dated.
Clean had swimming pool and garden Good buffet breakfast
Quite a few steps
Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Swimming pool is nice!
Veggie options for the breakfast could be improved and lifeguard at the swimming pool could speak a bit of english.
Clean rooms and super friendly staff.in fact staff really great! Breakfast is good.
Swimming pool is a joke! Closed most of the time. Seems to be only open when you would go to the beach! Closed until 10.30am, then closed at lunchtime , opens mid afternoon and closes early evening. It looks nice ?. Esp in marketing pictures, and you pay a premium for hotel with a pool, pity you can not use it.
The pool was really fun, not good for lengths but for messing around in or mini laps. The room wasn't large but that's not an issue if you're out and about. The decor felt like it was a Hercule Poirot TV show set. I would say the atmosphere was languid. Staff fine, nice etc. Wifi good. I had an excellent time there actually and felt very safe.
It looks like a weird location when you approach from the west, feels like a very residential quarter. Luckily there are plenty of signs on the road. It actually makes more sense if you get there from the town centre or the train station. It's not in the centre of town but that's actually really nice, quiet.
A very clean and pleasant hotel located very close to the train station which made for a great base to visit the many delights of the Italian Riviera. Our stay at the Coccodrillo was made fabulous by the very attentive reception team, who were friendly and could not do enough for us. Thank you to Sylvia and Giulio for checking us in early and out late and helping with speaking Italian and making nice cappuccinos :-)
Really minor and it didn’t affect our stay at all but our aircon didn’t work. I didn’t inform reception though so didn’t really give them chance to sort it which I’m sure they would have if they could.
Excellent accommodation with friendly staff and good service.Breakfast excellent.Ideal location.
Our only negative was that the pillows were a little too hard.
Pool, short walk to the beach, friendly staff, amazing breakfast, great value.
Location, staff and comfort
distance from the beach, cleanliness a plus, lovely room, very nice service
Friendly, helpfull staff. Location near railway station
You can hear trains running all the time, small room, poor noise isolation, too many stairs to get in to the hotel (while traveling with a luggage and stroller)
Really nice staff, clean swimming pool, there were not many people so we really enjoyed our stay, great breakfast. Good location close to the centre and beaches.
A bit tiny room for 4 people and no space to dry our clothes and towels.
It was clean and the staff have been gentle
It was a bit old
Very nice staff, good location, clean and tidy room
The breakfast - if you like carbs and sugar it was good, but if you like a little more Scandinavian breakfast with fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, natural yogurt, sourdough bread, and natural yogurt, you've come to the wrong place.Wi-Fi didn't work in our room even though we had signal, had to go to reception to get it working. The parking lot was about 80 meters away.
Niece and helpful personal. Not far from the sea.
Towel heater is not working this time of the year.
All of the staff were lovely and very helpful. The hotel was clean and well presented. The breakfast buffet was well stocked.
I was disappointed by my room which was a small, cramped single.
