Brit Hotel Confort Bagnoles Normandie

The reception doesn’t work as stated at the booking.com. Actually, we came at 19.40, a nobody was there. The hotel was open and not a single person anywhere. We tried to call a number written at the reception desk and nobody answered! We left for dinner, returned at 21.55 and found the hotel locked! Fortunately, somebody answered call and gave us access code and explained how to get to the room.

Bike storage area was good. comfortable bed.

- No heat in room; freezing in room- WiFi in room # 9 was slow and very poor signal- No elevator in hotel, $117 a night and would have expected an elevator. Steps to rooms not noted when booking,

We were the only ones staying. No staff ( had to phone to get someone to let us in) too hot

No one on reception when we arrived and no one on at the time they said they would be there. In the end the live in cleaner did her best to sort it out so we could get to our rooms. She was brilliant, the proprietor not so much. We only saw him in the morning to pay the bill.

If being really critical I would say room was a little dated

Nice big room with clean facilities and a decent lounge area downstairs. Staff were lovely and very helpful when we turned up a little early. Recommended. No restaurant for evening meal but there is one at their sister hotel, a short walk away.

Beautiful property, friendly staff, very comfortable bed, good shower and nice breakfast.

A little bit far from the centre of town.

The room was spacious, however, all amenities are a bit dated. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Surroundings of the hotel were quiet and I managed to get a good night sleep.

First, it took a bit of time to identify the hotel as its sign does not include "Brit". The check-in and check-out process was rather smooth, although English is definitely a barrier. The biggest disappointment was breakfast - there was a huge group of cyclists who had occupied the whole small breakfast room, so it took a loooong time to manage and get the morning coffee and food. While the lady serving the breakfast tried to do her best, it was overwhelmed and spoilt the general experience.

It was the new property and we were the only ones there! However it was adequate. There was no staff.

Hotel was nice and clean, host's were very helpful, bedroom was a good size and clean.Town centre was a 15min walk from hotel which was not a problem, and the centre is full of bars and restaraunts and shops,stunning lake and scenery.

Breakfast is catered for the french, could have had more variety e.g fresh fruit, sausage/ bacon/ choice of egg instead of just boiled which you had to do yourself, toaster was available but no bread to make toast, coffee machine needs updating and was very noisy, dining room very small.on suite Bathroom was very clean but shower cubicle was very small, i am 6ft tall and struggled with it.

Room wasn’t serviced during three night stay. Charged for three breakfasts even though we only had two. Bar wasn’t open on Sunday evening, no staff around on Sunday evening although it said it should be open. Too far for my husband to walk into Bagnoles centre.Hotel needs some updating.

Quiet location. Convenient on site parking. Clean, comfortable room.

Breakfast was basic and limited. Not well organised. Internet went down when we needed it most.

Our room was lovely but the water to the bath and shower was very slow and the toilet seat slipped when you sat down

Good sized room and really comfortable bed. Plenty of parking at the hotel, at no extra cost and also parking on the street outside. The wifi worked well and the shower was good. The breakfast was fine and the hotel is good value for money.

A kettle in the room would have made a difference. It was not busy so a room facing the garden rather than the street would have been nicer.
