Hotel Horitzo by Pierre & Vacances

Location is excellent, staff is very friendly and attentive.

The hotel needs updating, wallpaper on hallway is ripped and door frames are scratched that needs replacement, cleaning staff is not very efficient and not putting any attention to details.

The location was unbeatable, right in front of the sea with stunning views and just a quick 7-minute drive to the train station for easy access to Barcelona. The breakfast buffet was delicious with great variety, and the beachfront promenade made morning walks feel like a postcard moment. Everything felt peaceful and perfectly situated.

I'm a return guest , everything was as we expected. Great location and excellent room, cleanliness etc. Arrived at 3am to an exceptionally kind and cheerful receptionist. Couldn't have been nicer.

The location was fantastic, the staff were friendly, rooms and balconies were spacious and clean and the breakfast was really good.

The hotel is a bit tired and dated. The bathrooms were old and uncomfortable and there weren’t a lot of amenities in the rooms. For example, large spacious rooms but not more than one suitcase stand, and one tiny bar of hand soap.

Cleaning is not in time. Often, cleaning was skipped, as cleaning lady came at midday. Possibly problem with staff' quantity.

The rooms need renovation as it’s really old and outdated. The sea view is fantastic, the breakfast is fine. The housekeeping was terrible. There were pet hair and pet food left in the bathroom (I’m assuming where the previous occupants made their pet sleep) and I’m severely allergic to pet hair so you can imagine…I got sick from it. Plus they covered the smell with a lot of room freshener…unacceptable.

Asked for double bed but was given twin beds. Bar closed earlier than stated.

It provided a very good breakfast, with plenty of choices. Good seafront position. Quality of housekeeping in our room.

Decor of room rather tired. Shower tray must have been damaged as always leaking. There were no tea and coffee facilities in our room. Although the hotel is positioned on the sea front, there isn’t any outside terrace to enjoy a drink or any facilities, such as sun loungers or chairs which could enable us to enjoy it.

The service in general was just perfect, the breakfast buffet was very complete, customer service is on point, the rooms were clean and comfy, the listened to our request (let's all remember to not ask for anything too crazy) and the hotel is right in the beach front. Very happy with the overall experience.

amazing location, right next to the beach and a short 5 to 10 min walk away from all the shops and restaurants, located in a safe well lit area. room was spacious and tidy, included a fridge, water, hairdryer. 100% worth what you pay for, i wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised.

the only minor thing was the air con dripped a bit but it was cleaned up for us immediately, not a big deal to be honest.

very authentic old building in the old town with the added bonus of tea/coffee and pastries available 24/7. the host Marguerite was great to for advise on everything in Girona. all staff were very pleasant, breakfast was very good and had a lovely room no 3. would have no problem recommending the pensione.
