Pros +
- The hotel was in a beautiful location, however I think maybe if we had gone during the spring or summer we may have enjoyed our stay more. The staff was wonderful and very friendly we enjoyed our breakfasts as well. They are set up beautifully for Weddings though, there was one while we were there and it looked storybook.. ending in an amazing fireworks display.
- The views were amazing and hotel was very clean. Staff were very helpful.Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of food choices.
- I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the view was absolutely beautiful — I loved waking up to it every morning. The pool area was also great, well maintained, and a lovely spot to relax after a day of exploring. The location made getting around easy, and the staff was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. I’d happily stay here again on my next visit.
Cons -
- As previously stated the location was beautiful, however it was very hard to find. The hotel has history but needs maintenance. Also, maybe upgrade linens. Also, it’s very secluded so you need to drive anywhere which is complicated ( I’ll leave it at that). The walls are thin so you’ll hear your neighbors. Ours were there for a wedding, I felt bad as my husband and I both had colds and I know they heard the coughing ?
- Parking was very tight
- We had a room with a sloping roof, and it was not pleasant to walk around freely in it.

The hotel is located within a wooded area, in what seems like ancient neighborhood. Next to the hotel is the "Abbey of the Holy Trinity in Cava de' Tirreni", a basilica dated to 1011 with amazing interior. The hotel grounds are spacious with gardens. Breakfast was very good and the staff efficient.
We had a room with a sloping roof, and it was not pleasant to walk around freely in it.
Location was very beautiful and the area around the hotel was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and a very good food selection at the breakfast. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
The only thing that I didn’t like is the outside noise because of the community party that lasted till the very very late night. But I think this is very typical for Italy and we, North Americans, aren’t really used to it. I don’t think as well that this is something typical for this hotel and maybe we were “lucky” to stay the night when the party was taking place :)
It was very quiet and the view was amazing.
A bit too far from the coastal towns. It took us 2 hours to go to Positano.
Very nice hotel up in the mountains! The rooms were lovely and the breakfast was exceptional!
The hand rail on an odd exit needs fixing. My mother in law fell:(
The facilities of the hotel are wonderful and there is a pool with a beautiful view. The restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed everything and in particular the pear and ricotta dessert was unforgettable.
Our double room was small. There is parking available for an extra fee. If you have a large car, it may be difficult to arrive in front of the hotel as there is a narrow street to get there. The staff was helpful to get our car through. Availability of sunbed at the pool is limited and all beds there were booked when we got there. There is no iron and ironing board made available for guests for safety reasons.
The view was lovely. The location was delightful, it was a real treat to climb the mountain through the twisty roads and then to walk the village streets. The breakfast was the best one we had in Italy to date. The hotel itself was like a fun giant maze, which my kids enjoyed walking around. The pool was very pleasant.
The room was tiny for a quadruple room. The bed were VERY firm; but this seems to be typical.
Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff and clean facilities. Beautiful pool with an amazing view and very nice breakfast.
The view. Very helpful staff! Clean. The pool!
Hard to get to by transportation. Walking up the hill with elderly ability.
Very attractive and well decorated hotel in a beautiful setting in the hills above Cavi Di Terreni / Salerno. We had a suite, which was very large, very nicely decorated and super-comfortable. Staff all very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent dinner there.
The hotel is not that easy to find - satnav seems to struggle with its exact location - and the entrance gateway into the parking area is very narrow, obviously dating back to the days before cars and explains why the majority of cars in these smaller, older Italian towns all seem to have multiple scrapes and scratches on their paintwork! Well worth the effort once you get there, however.
View was beautiful. Old and funky.
Red carpets in hallways were really dirty and gross looking. The whole place could use an update. Breakfast was lacking. Beds terrible.
I stayed two extra nights before a tour. I loved the location high in the hills above a working town with proximity to Amalfi coast. There are walking trails right out of the door. My room was comfortable with a balcony and a great view; all the food was superb. I accessed the hotel on the no. 61 bus from the station at Cava di Tirreni. The area is very quiet - apart from the Sunday morning band which is all part of the atmosphere..
There was nothing I didn't like.
Hidden gem away from the bustle and noise of the coast. Birdsong on the terrace and garden overlooking the forests with the sound of the river floating up from the valley below. BlissRooms very comfortable and delicious food in the restaurant.
The drive through the narrow alley right up to the front door is frightening - but it can be done! You don’t have to do it though unless you have to, as there is a car park half way up the hill about 150m away.
very good breakfast with lots of choice, room is clean, free gated parking is 5 minutes walking distance. It is quiet.
Don't try to park in front of the hotel if you drove a SUV. It's very narrow way to go through before you reach the hotel.
The room was big and comfortable
It is obvious that in the past the hotel was an attraction, but at present times it looks old but not in a good way.Avoid eating in the hotel restaurant if you can.
Everything was perfect, the room, the view, the food and especially the amazing and super friendly and helpful staff. They even prepare a special meal for my wife when she felt a little sick… unvelievable!?
Staff and cleanliness, food was good for dinner too.Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and in good mood. I worked in hotels before and this is a rare atmosphere. Whoever own the place should be very proud. All of people met were outstanding and my room was having a pleasent clean scent. Thank you very much
Nothing really!
Stunning area, hotel was lovely and staff were 1st class.
Roads were a little tight. Parking was a short walk away.
