The location of the hotel is ideal, with all of the old city right at your doorstep. Furthermore, the hotel staff could not have been more helpful.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I liked where the hotel was located, in the historic heart of Girona. All the main monuments are fast accessible, within minutes. They have everything you need for breakfast, and the products are of good quality. For those arriving by car, there is a large free car park nearby. Opposite the hotel you will find a supermarket and many restaurants nearby.

Regarding areas for improvement, they mainly concern the room. A major renovation is absolutely necessary for a hotel claiming to be four stars; we're closer to two stars. I'm not going to go into detail about the problems encountered here, but it would be good if a manager made the rounds of the rooms from time to time. Regarding the hotel's concept, specifically its theme of legends, it's not very clear. There are many ceramic pieces depicting various places, both ancient and modern, as well as busts of famous people. They appear to have been placed haphazardly, without any explanation or coherent arrangement.

Staff were excellent. Very helpful and welcoming. Location was top. Hotel is lovely in historic location. Bed was very comfortable.

Unfortunately there were many problems with our room. The heating did not work. The fridge and safe did not work. Many of the lights did not work. The extractor fan in the bathroom was hanging out of the ceiling with wires exposed but electricity still going to it. It seems that maintenance is a big problem, which is a pity as the hotel is really nice. We were given a fan heater and extra duvet and they offered to change our room, but we spoke to another guest and they also had a problem with the heat, so we decided to make the most of the location as we were only in the room at night. Someone came to the room and took notes of the problems and photos of the fan, so hopefully something will be done and the room brought back to acceptable level. I have to say that while it was an inconvenience, the location made up for it.

I thought the shower area could have been cleaner

Location of the hotel is first class. Not far to walk for many of the attractions in the centre. The staff are great and very helpful. The breakfast in the morning was ample with a good choice of pastries and the breakfast rooms are unique. Our bedroom was in great condition with an excellent shower and was cleaned really well every day.There are plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby.

Perhaps the hotel could benefit by a xtending breakfast times.

Room facilities need maintenance. Burnt-out light bulbs need replacing. Broken switches need repair. The refrigerator needs replacing.

The staff were amazing, kind and helpful. We loved the location within the medieval quarter of Girona. We could walk out each morning and hike up above the city on and around the old Roman walls. There were plenty of shops and cafes to wander by and sit in for meals or a glass of cava. The three museums we visited were interesting and also at walking distance. This hotel was a lovely base to return to each day during our stay.

Can’t think of much we didn’t like. The room got steamy from showers, but opening the window took care of that small issue.

The location is excellent. The building is next to the cathedral and a short walk from everything we wanted to see in the old part of town. The room was cozy and nice. The tv had several channels, and there were multiple spaces to spread out. The bed was very comfortable.

I am not a fan of the semi-private, semi-transparent bathroom trend, and I have no idea who is responsible for spreading this trend that no one asked for and makes no sense. Let's end it and return to the sanity of solid doors on what should be the most private space of any hotel room or home.

The best location - 2-3 minutes from San Feliu basilica and Cathedral square. Fantastic old building with surrealistic touches on a Dali theme. Friendly and welcoming staff. Modern room design and high tech lighting/curtain controls. Nice self service buffet with fresh juice machine and a good selection of fruit, cheese, meats and bread. Powerful shower with multiple jets and overhead rain setting.

Shower didn’t drain well (floor was curled upwards at the ends. Very easy to have water over the bathroom floor. There was also an unpleasant smell from the shower and sometimes the sink. Three of the lights in the room didn’t work. The hotel room guide says how to access more channels with TV/AV or A/D button - my remote had neither!
