Antico Casale Di Scansano Resort

The grounds are amazing & loved the indoor pool, salt cave & jacuzzi. It was a perfect getaway from a stressful job for my friend who needed to relax. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever experienced.

Hi,We visited a property in April out of season. Calm + birds signing + beautiful view + comfy house. Clean. Stuff were kind and responding to all our demands. Helpful even late night.

Loved the location and the staff. Such a beautiful setting. The grounds are so beautiful, and the daily breakfast was great.

The room was stuffy, so we opened the doors to let in some fresh air. As soon as we did that, the room filled with flies and stink bugs. There were no screens on the doors, so in came the horse flies. Because it was mid October, they wouldn't turn on the ac. The beds were not very comfortable, and the inside of the balcony doors were dusty and trapped bugs between the curtains and doors. An in room vacuum and flyswater would have been helpful.

The property was very well manicured, the landscaping was amazing. The SPA was excellent, I did not have breakfast at the restaurant but had dinner, the meal I ordered was very well cooked, and the sweets was tasty and amazing,

The wi-fi in the 1 bedroom apartment #507 did not work well at all, it would not stay connected for no more than a minute and a half ... very annoying, and frustrating I had to go to the main reception to complete my action. I did mention this issue to the receptionist, he said he will have the technician check it outChecking out process and settling your bill:It was not disclosed at the check in time that the office opens at 8 am for check out nor there are any signs posted any where for customers to notice this important hotel policy.Also, it was not explained well that if you need to leave early before 8 am, you need to settle your bill the night before. I was at the reception at 7 am thinking its a reasonable time for the reception to be open, there was no one there, waited for 30 minutes, I saw 2 employees coming in, they were kind enough to tell me the office opens at 8 am. If I knew the office opens at 8 am and also that is the check out time, I would have slept an extra hour.Also, it was not explained, if you do leave early in the morning before 8 am, where do you leave the room or apartment keys? at the apartment? or in the mail box?For future recommendations, and better customer service, please have at least the reception working hours posted clearly at the entrance door, so customers are aware.the rest of the hotel policy, like checking out early, what to do, and where to leave the keys, that can be explained to the customers at check in I enjoyed my 2 days stay at the hotel, and i will recommend it to others, and if we are in the area to stay we will look this property up.

The restaurant. Very good service and food.

Laundry service. If you advertise on booking.com you have a laundry service, you should have the service. A self service machine and ironing board is not the same. I go on vacation to do 4 things; eat, sleep, explore and relax. Household tasks stay at home.

The setting was stunning. Old world accommodation with all the luxury. Having an adult pool to cool off in with bar service was excellent. The restaurant on site was convenient and served local delicious dishes with great service. Breakfast offered a variety of sweet and savory with made to order coffee. The room size was bigger than most in my italian travels. The location was perfect. Close to scansano but had a magical Tuscan feel.

The hot tub was only for spa guests.The bed and pillows couod have been softer, more comfortable

Exceptional stay, very kind staff, breakfast plentiful and fresh, restaurant serves amazing food for a fair price, nice pool area. Apartment we stayed in well equiped, with mini kitchen, AC, terrace with amazing Tuscany view, very quiet and relaxing.

If we have to leave mini-kitchen clean, a sponge with detergent would be a plus. There was a dishwasher though so not a big issue.

It was amazing setting and close to a little cute town. We were given a free wine tasting in the town upon arrival. Two outdoor pools were super and a lot of space

Very nice surroundings, with small villages and activities on private areas. Very nice drinks & food as well. Quiet & peaceful with 2 pools at the pool area.

Parking, Staff, Nature

I didn't like the room at all. The interior was very basic and old. The furniture was also old and shabby.

Nice views, good restaurant and exceptional staff, clean room, nice bed and lining.

Shower is was too small and uncomfortable, a big persone will have trouble having a shower.

Very nice property located on the hill with wonderful view to valley. Property is in the same family for several generations and it is authentic, where moms are cooking pasta by them selves. Restaurant was quite posh. Breakfast with a lot of choices, not usual to Italian. it very nice spot for romantic get away.

Some rooms seems very authentic (and could need modern touch) also mattress need to be changed (it is romantic place so bed is very important).

The surrounding space is very charming, the restaurant has excellent food and very attentive staff. The price of the restaurant is somewhat high, but it is worth the cost of the stay

the room was beautiful, with a terrace at the front, but it has no sound insulation, you can hear almost everything from the neighboring room.

The spa is wonderful, the view lovely and the restaurant is really good. The staff were lovely.

We were a bit disappointed that at low season the included outdoor pool was closed however the spa, which is very reasonably priced, was available and well worth the extra cost.

The facilities were amazing, clean and totally worth the price.The stuff were very friendly and helpful with all our questions and issues including with directions and orders.The restaurant is top class! Very fancy and tasty food!

The air conditioner was a little poor, but we managed :)

Set in the most beautiful views, this resort is peaceful, clean and spacious. The staff is very welcoming, the pool is perfect, the food is delicious. We had a wonderful time and definitely recommend staying there for a perfect vacation.
