Pros +
- The hotel itself was stunning! And the buildings and surrounding landscape were absolutely breathtaking. We also loved the thoughtful little touches, like cozy robes and slippers for the kids, which made them feel extra special. The family pool was a highlight, stocked with toys and rafts that kept our kids happily entertained for hours.Another standout was the Kids Club... fun, engaging, and refreshingly screen-free! For a bit of variety, my son and I enjoyed the driving range and putting greens. While not perfectly maintained, they were free to use and gave us a memorable afternoon of fun together.Overall, the combination of gorgeous surroundings, family-friendly amenities, and thoughtful details made our stay truly wonderful. We left with great memories and would happily return!
- wonderful facilities, location and staff with excellent food and accommodations. The food for lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant is very good, but a bit overpriced
- Location is good, property is beautiful and the region is worth the visit.
Cons -
- Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was that our suite had a leaking roof when it rained... something you would never expect at a five-star resort, especially given the premium price we paid for one of their more luxurious accommodations. Our two kids were sleeping upstairs, and by sheer luck we had moved the crib closer to our older son’s bed. On one of our first nights, a storm hit and water poured in exactly where the crib would have been. We ended up with multiple soaked towels and a very unsettling experience. When we reported it, the night manager came to check but offered little empathy. He attributed the problem to an “unprecedented” storm and told us there was nothing he could do other than have maintenance review it the next day. To be fair, it was a strong storm, but certainly not beyond what a resort of this caliber should be prepared for.The next day we were told someone had looked at it while we were out, but we received no clear update. Later that afternoon, another (much lighter) rain came through, and water leaked in again. Despite raising the issue a second time, the response was minimal... a bottle of wine was sent to the room, but there was no real attempt to resolve the underlying issue. It left us questioning whether management truly plans to address the problem or is simply hoping for sunny skies.
- Hotel is rundown and needs some refresh. Gym is poor in equipments and I was surprised given how much they sell their spa. Pool service is laughable with plastic cups for aperol spritz and a brown bag for a toast we ordered!!!
- We had some issues with the room, we changed 2 times (one for ants in the room) and we "downgraded" every time we changed.. I expected from the management some "treatment" at the end of the stay.. but nothing except a bottle of wine (the cheapest) from the staff (that was appreciated) because the manager was not there. For that kind of hotel we expected more. I was also a bit disappointed from the restaurant, I booked to go to Trattoria but it was closed but they guarantee that the menu will be at the same level... and it wasn't. Even at breakfast i asked a simple egg cooked in a different way and they want to charge a surplus.

Location, place itself, SPA, staff, Wineshop

Friendly and efficient staff, spacious and well serviced rooms, good pool areas, beautiful location
Very poor gym and golf facilities, lack of food options for lunch around the pool, no pool service
Beautiful surroundings and food and family friendly facilities such as family pool and kids club.
Some other food and drinks options would be helpful eg. Better drinks and lunch service by the pools and a tour and overview of the available facilities on arrival - eg. Pools, spa, winery, restaurants on the estate.
The outside and the pool
The bedroom did not have a view , a fireplace or a bath as described on Booking.Com . The staff were very slow in the restaurant, the food was average in quality but very expensive. The massages and treatment were extremely expensive
The setting, surroundings and building are simply stunning. The rooms and bathrooms are roomy and spotless. The wine was great and inexpensive. The staff were very friendly. The food good.
With all that I say is Good this should be a 5star review, but....there were quite a few 'but's. Booking.com directions direct you to a back drive and entrance, so you miss the stunning tree lined drive ascending uptoward the grand house. It's a shame because first impressions count. This should be sorted. Secondly! On arriving at reception, 5 staff were facing me at the desk. I felt intimidated. My room was ready within a few moments. I was taken over by a very nice member of staff. The room was large, airy, with the most amazing view over the putting green and vineyards. However, the bed was in totally the wrong position. Instead of facing the view, it was at 45 degrees, so when you are sitting in bed, you see only a restricted view. The room has all the amenities you need. The mini bar, wines from the estates are all very reasonable and actually nice, but the little gift of three cantucci is a bit mean.At my Agrotourismo, I give my guests a bottle of fizz, a bottle of red, a whole pack of cantucci, bread, cheese, ham, eggs, coffee pods etc etc. I would say that some of the fixtures, fittings and furniture are incongruous with the building and setting. I wanted to eat in the fine dining restaurant, but it was full, so I went to the more casual restaurant. As a single person I was hussled to a corner table and on being sat I ordered a glass of wine and water both came. 34 minutes later the maitre d came to take my order. I hadn't even been given the menu. The one sheet, very very restricted menu, with only 3 or so choices and for Secondi only Barbecued food on offer didn't hit the mark for a hotel at this level. When the food came it was 'pleasant' enough but no 'Wow' at all and it's not cheap. I had asked for a glass of red with my meal, which never came. At this level this shouldn't be attention to detail, but attention to the basics and it was not particularly busy.
excellent! the restaurant great! Wine tasting with passion.
The isolation in the room from the door is not so good as it should be. advantage was that there were not so much people at that time.
The place is absolutely perfect! Everything was beautiful and clean, and the entire resort is so big and full of facilities that we didn't feel the need to even travel outside. The staff was very nice and attended to everything we needed. They made us feel like we were the only guests at the hotel.I highly recommend it!!The best stay we ever had!
Nothing! Everything was perfect!
amazing staff. Mattia our host at the La Villa was awesome !
hot water pressure in bathroom
Absolutely beautiful property, enjoyed the restaurants and the spa
Could use an upgrade to the gym
Gorgeous grounds.
Pillows were hard and synthetic. The food was very average for Italy and the portion sizes were tiny and prices way to high. The wine menu, particularly by the glass, was minimal.
The staff here are very helpful and kind
This property is tired and sad and in desperate need of renovation. The website is somewhat misleading as it shows the property in a much better condition then in reality.
I had already stayed at landana it is an amazing place full of beautiful places to go and visit the food is amazing the property is wonderful
it is a very children also friendly place that is very important very kind and helpful staff
Hotel setting was excellent
Included breakfast was poor - only hot options were scrambled egg, bacon and chicken sausages - not 5 star at allHotel room was tired , TV not working, Shower head broken and situation ( across a car park ) not great
Beautiful decoration, lovely staff, great breakfast, amazing views!
Staff and service were superb, very helpful and friendly. Location is wonderful. Rooms superb. Food excellent.
Room was clean and well furnished. Food in the restaurant was very nice. Due to the poor choice of hotels locally this is definitely the best in the area..
Our room was ridiculously hot and we had to keep windows open all night as the staff were unable to affect any temperature change.Despite me booking the highest category room for extra space our friends who booked a lower category and paid less, had a bigger room which I found very odd. The grounds were tired, building work was ongoing, outdoors could do with a facelift. The reception is ridiculously hard to find if you come in from the road nearest the beach - very poorly signed.. They are charging 5 star prices but the service and quality is tired and definitely nearer a 4 star - I know we're out of season but that should be no excuse or should be reflected in a lower price..
Everything except of long distance from the sea and absence of the own beach.
Far from the see. Hotel does not have the own beach, and propose 3 beaches on choose. Necessary to reserve the beds in advance, 1 or 2 days before. On the first day we were not able to obtain the place on the nearest beach, and we had to go 30 min by car.
