This is a beautiful historic property in a small town within a 10 minute drive to Bosa. The hotel is comprised of several buildings connected by a large lovely garden with views of the mountains and the sea where you can eat breakfast, watch the sunset and there’s a swimming pool as well. The hosts spoke English well and are very knowledgeable about biking in the area and the many archeological sites and significant Romanesque churches that are within an easy driving distance from the hotel. In addition, the breakfasts consisted of fresh local ingredients. We loved our stay here. It’s an absolute gem!
Truly magical hotel tucked away in a charming town in the hills above the west coast. The hotel is spread around a small piazza with a church and bar/restaurant next door (very handy in the evenings!), the main building is a beautiful old villa but there are rooms in a few of the adjacent buildings as well, all lovingly restored. The staff were extremely accommodating, even when we had to change our booking, and secured us a wonderful room with a large balcony and amazing view of the surrounding hills down to the sea - great for sunsets! They even asked us our mattress preference!! The main villa is gorgeous and has the most enchanting garden with a pool, bar, and various seating areas. We loved the breakfasts in the garden, and the few characterful cats too (Antonio!). The staff gave us lots of great suggestions for places to visit, and guided us in our interest in finding local baskets too (made out of the asfodel plants that grow on the surrounding hillsides). The hotel is very close to Bosa, and many local sites, though it's difficult to leave as such a beautiful place. Definitely our favourite place we stayed at during our trip to Sardinia, can't wait to come back!
Nothing, it was all perfect!
I absolutely loved every second of my stay at Hotel Villa Gli Asfodeli. From the moment we arrived, the experience was warm, welcoming, and truly special.A huge thank you to Cristina, the owner, who was an absolute angel. She was the sweetest and most helpful host we’ve ever encountered — always going above and beyond to make our stay incredible. From offering fantastic local recommendations to providing beach accessories, and even arranging an early breakfast for us on the day of our departure (well before regular breakfast hours!), she made sure every detail was perfect.I’ll admit, some of the photos on Booking.com initially made me hesitant — but wow, was I blown away once I arrived. The property is stunning: beautifully maintained, full of charm and character, with breathtaking views all around. I honestly wish we had stayed longer to fully enjoy the pool, gardens, and serene atmosphere. We stayed in a superior room with a terrace, and waking up to those views of the rolling hills and the ocean was absolutely unforgettable. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel completely at home.If you’re considering staying here — do it. You won’t regret it. This place is a hidden gem and was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Sardinia.
Room was airy, great aspect on to garden and view to coast. Great breakfast, wonderfully engaged and knowledgeable staff (Alex) and owners
Bathroom bit dated
To begin with: Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy to communicate as they all speak English very well. We got a room upgrade as the hotel was not fully booked. The hotel is in a historic building, furnished in matching style.Good place to stay with children, thanks to the big garden for playing and the nice pool. Unfortunately the pool was still very cold (end of april), as it is not heated. Still, the children took a dive. View from the pool is wonderful. The bar service at the pool was not yet available but this is perfectly understandable in low season.Tresnuraghes is a small town, but still located near enough to wonderful beaches and nice town Bosa. The town has one super market and during our stay in low season a nice restaurant, a bar, and a take-away pizzeria with great pizza.
WiFi in the room itself was okay, but in the bed room we had very weak signal or no signal at all.The bed couch was okay for the children, but is not good enough for adults or elder kids.Overall, the apartment was quite a bit darker than expected based on the pictures. This is not really an issue and understandable as it is a historic building, but still we did not expect it. I can imagine this could be beneficial during hot summers, though. We have had experience with quite some accommodations in Italy by now with some of them exceptional breakfast. Based on reading reviews for this hotel, we had high expectations for the breakfast in this hotel as well, but although also here very friendly and personal service, the breakfast is rather above average than outstanding. Also, we did not always have a table for 4 people and had to split up. May be this is different when breakfast is outside.
The hotel is very beautiful and genuine with classical Italian architecture, fantastic garden with pool, extremelly friendly and helpful host, breathtaking views against sea and mountains. It was a true joy to sit in the cozy breakfastroom every morning. Wonderful buffé and very nice personal service! We enjoyed every second in this peaceful genuin hotel and we will come back soon!
We loved everything
We had a most wonderful experience and truly still think back to the two days we spent at this gem of a place. The hosts are extremely courteous, the place is beautiful, the rooms authentic and the breakfast delicious (homemade jam, cake). For cyclists: We came from the Alghero direction traveling by bike and can truly recommend not only the area/coast to explore for gravel/road cyclists, but also the bike-friendliness of the Villa Gli Asfodeli. Thanks for the great time!
Nice property, ideally located. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended!
it is very authentic and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. we were made to feel so welcome . the breakfast is also exceptional . It’s a really beautiful spot with tremendous views .
If you want to feel Sardinia with all your senses, wake up to a picturesque views of vineyard and olive groves in a suite with stylish italian furniture from 19th century this hotel is the right place for you! It's stylish, charming, has a pool with a magnificent view. The Staff is very helpful and provide their customers with fantastic recommendations on what to see in the area. We stayed at this hotel at the end of our Sardinian journey and it was definitely an incing on the cake. We highly recommend this hotel.
Everything was perfect!
Large comfortable room, beautifully kept gardens throughout the property
It was short 5-10 minutes drive into Bosa for our dinners but the route was so scenic one couldn’t complain.
Beautiful rooms and gardens. Loved the pool area and sunset drinks. Generous breakfast. Lovely and very helpful hosts.
Very poor
When we arrived to the hotel, we were given a completely different room from what we had paid, a room not nice at all. As I complained, the unfriendly owner told us it was “an upgrade” which was absolutely ridiculous!. Finally she told me she had given my room to another person!. As I told her I was going to phone Booking, she propose to give me a Suite but only from next day. So we had to stay one night in the ugly room she gave us in first place. There were a lot of mosquitos there. We received next day a Suite where the washbasin was completely clogged, the air conditioning was very noisy, the toilet sit was not fixed and the mattresses were hard like cement. We ended washing our hands in the bidet. Sorry but I could not feel any charm in the “charm” hotel at any time. Breakfast was not attractive either.
Beautiful, simple room with some traditional touches. Huge window looking out into the tree outside. Spacious with high ceilings. The bathroom was a bit vintage but worked fine. Good breakfast. Lovely pool in the garden with a bar service. Restaurant next door had an excellent clam pasta (abysmal service though!).
Everything was fine.
Thanks to Maria Cristina, Franca and Antonio and all the other friendly and professional staff who made our stay memorable. This really is a hotel de charme, situated in a quiet town which is very well positioned to enjoy the area's sights and the sea., . We stayed in a superior room in the beautifully restored old house, and loved the balcony with the view to the sea, the large, very green gardens with plenty of loungers and secluded spots, and the pool with bar service. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and dinner in the restaurant/pizzeria next door, where the food is very good. Aircon in the bedroom was excellent. We borrowed a beach umbrella, rented a bike and Antonio and Franca booked kayaking for us - nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.
Nothing. It would be nice to have extra dining options in the town but the next door restaurant is very good and great value, and Bosa is close enough to nip in for dinner.
Super friendly staff. Awesome garden. Very calm location. Nice pool in the garden with bar that works till evening.
Nice Boutique hotel with nice Balcony / swimming pool and breakfast area.We had a space to park our racing bicycles during our stay
