Oh my gosh. We loved everything. The room was beautiful. Elegant and so comfortable. Best mattresses. Perfect location. The owner was so welcoming and kind to us. The restaurant is truly gourmet and superb. And so, so pretty. Wonderful waiters. We hated to leave.

Absolutely beautiful Hotel, super well located, very good service and friendly staff, delicious breakfast! I especially appreciate the they were able to find the parking for us and reserve it.

Stylish rooms in the heart of the historic center of Albi.

This property feels like a restaurant that happens to rent rooms, rather than a hotel with a restaurant. The rooms are not the priority. For example, there is no reception desk and no lobby with seating. While our room was stylish, the air conditioning did not work properly at any time during our stay. Guests are limited in how low they can set the AC unit (21 degrees Celsius), which would have been fine had it been operating properly, but the ambient temperature read 25.5 for much of the night, and never got below 23.5, though it was set at 21. We called the staff twice for help with the air conditioning, but it seemed like we were competing with the restaurant on a busy night because the staff are shared. We probably wouldn’t stay here again, and warn others about staying here during the hot summer months since the air conditioning is so under powered.

We were greeted by fantastic staff who could not have been more helpful. The room was superb and plenty of tea and coffee selection in the room

the fancy toilet in the bathroom was a little unnecessary and a little too high. That was it!

Great location for exploring Albi. Beautiful design inside and out. Very nice attractive restaurant. Helpful relaxed staff.

Request parking in advance if you want that option. Or park in outdoor public lot very close by (about 25€ per night).

The hotel was in a great location - right by all the main attractions and the bars and restaurants. we. had breakfast in the hotel and ate dinner there also. The food was amazing. Staff are very nice. The hotel has another bar just down the road which also is great for drinks and usually some live music. Overall our 2 day stay was great and would recommend The Alchemy.

Lovely staff, perfect location. Very nice location for bfast on terrace. The landings and commons are beautifully done. The rooms was spacious and the bathroom gigantic and comfortable.

A little noisy. The reception area is a bit odd —doubles up as restaurant cashier etc. Just felt a little chaotic in arrival.

Bedroom a little small, but large bathroom and quality fittings make up for that.

The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the town. We had a room at the back so it was quiet. We didn't eat in the hotel, but there are restaurants everywhere in Albi so we didn't find it difficult to find somewhere for a nice meal. Private Hotel parking is well worth going for. Our dog was happy too, and well accepted by the hotel. A lot of thought has gone into this hotel with it's different rooms. We travelled with family and had three rooms which were the rooms on the first floor, so it was like having connected rooms. A nice touch was the room which had my grandson in it - his bed was a sofa in the entrance to the bedroom so it felt as if he was a bit separate from his mum and dad. If you haven't been to Albi I would recommend it. A nice town, with everything within walking distance. The architecture is amazing, and a visit to the Cathedral is a must.

The hotel restaurant is open to the public and that's who they seem to cater for. As guests of the hotel we like to have a coffee sitting outside in the mornings, and a drink late afternoon before getting changed for dinner. However, as soon as one meal is over they lay the tables for the next. I was directed to sit at a table which they said they kept for guests, but it was a very hot day and the table was soon in full sun. This is a bit of a downside to the whole opulent experience of this hotel. I hope they remedy this soon as there is no need to lay tables straight after lunch when dinner isn't for several hours.

Modern amenities within the historic section of town, including a pretty dining room, bar, and outdoor cafe on a quiet side street.

Parking a few blocks away was fine, but we were not asked about a car on check-in, nor were we offered valet service to the room.

Fantastic staff! All very helpful, friendly and professional. Delicious food and a good wine offering at reasonable prices. Excellent location for the city.

The room was small. From the hotel garage it was difficult to get back to the hotel by car . We arrived late afternoon and left next morning before 10 am yet were charged for 2x24 hours parking (eur 48).

Damaged the car trying to exit the garage as a car park was close to the exit door and I onto the narrow streets had trouble trying to moving the car
