Golden Lakes Hotel

The property is modern and very esthetic, on top of it all was very well maintained and clean.

It was a little disappointing that the spa was for additional hourly cost.

Room was large and comfortable.

On arrival (motorcycles) we could not access the park. No response at the barrier. We were able to ride around, to be greeted with the words 'the park is closed'. Bar was not well attended. Seemed to have been deserted after a corporate event with tables set up conference style and just abandoned. Overall a feeling that no one could be bothered with us. Bar closed early. There is nothing else to do. A strange and characterless place.

Great location with lots of opportunities to undertake physical activities, eg, walking, cycling & water sports or just relax & unwind.Varied menu, delicious meals which were good value for money.Modern large accommodation with excellent view of the lake from the balcony. Friendly staff who spoke good English.Efficient service during check in and check out.

Rural location with comfortable room. Staff were very accommodating in providing a table in the bar downstairs for us to eat with our dog on his lead. Terrasse would also have been an option if the weather had been less chilly.

The location of the lakeside rooms relative to the car park meant a bit of a hike with luggage.

Very nice hotel in a wonderful location! Large rooms, great restaurant at the hotel. Overall experience is really good.

Lovely new building, staff were great. We stayed in a lake view suite which was excellent. Everything you could want was provided, beds super comfy.

Air con didn't appear to do anything useful, there was a political event on when we arrived that we were not made aware of.

Finding room was a bit of a maze with several levels and staircases not easy if you have limited mobility . Bistro menus were a bit limited for a property of this calibre and accommodation price

Lake side location

The breakfast was very overpriced and poor value for money with lots of flies and no attempt to keep the flies off the buffet breakfast The bed was very hard and we found it uncomfortableWe felt the hotel was way overpriced for what it was.

The rooms had a good noise isolation. Nice view on the lake.

The rooms were very basic. The shower was not clean. The property was crowded. Reservation for the restaurant needed even at lunch time. Terrace furniture was not always clean. We had to clean it ourselves for our breakfast. During lunch we had to ask the waiter explicitly to clean the table. Mass kitchen. Price does not correspond with the quality..

Very expensive compared to similar facilities elsewhere. 45€ per person for 2h spa when you pay 264€ for a double room/night is really too much

On a card in the room it said we could have a take away breakfast, but when we went to reserve it, they told us this was only applicable for the villa's. We could not find this anywhere on the folder.

Nice facilities and food was very good.

The general management seemed disjointed. We were stuck at the entrance gate for 15 minutes. No one answering the help button. Rang reception. No one answered. Staff member arriving for work tried to raise reception. She failed. She very kindly got gate open and allowed us to follow through

Great hotel in a superb location, modern well equipped rooms, the staff were welcoming friendly and helpful, excellent on site restaurant. Would recommend this hotel highly.

lovely but could have been better

in spite of the listing on Booking stating, and showing a swimming pool, the actual facilities are closed ALL year. when I asked the hotel staff why they don’t inform their customers: they advised me that it’s on their website and not their responsibility to inform Booking. if you’re looking to make use of the facilities - that you pay for - choose a different hotel.

A truly beautiful location, lovely modern room and a nice breakfast.. couldn’t ask for more really

Very friendly and helpful staff. We hired bicycles x 4, all of us enjoyed the four hours around the lakes! We highly recommend to cycle around the lakes.

Other facilities were not open.

It was very clean and modern

Being on the lake, there were a lot of flies and moths in the room. We were in a room next to a construction site (907) so it was loud in the morning. Lady who checked us in was pretty grumpy
