Mercure Brisbane Garden City

Was very easy to find. Very clean and comfortable.

The menu was lacking variety and seemed to be sold out on a lot of items.

Tvery comfortable beds and pillows. Free car parking and Great location.

The hot water pressure was very very low.

Beds were very comfortable. No traffic noise. Carparking good.

Hot water tap did not turn on. No soap in shower. Fridge door came ajar and we lost all of our food. We both have severe allergies and brought our own food. Could not find remote, eventually found in lounge chair.

Location easy of access and no parking fees

Sunday breakfast! Everything was empty! Staff were taking a very long time to refill everything! Did not get value for money.

Walking distance to Westfield shopping centre

The old room requires renovation. The bathroom necessitates upgrading, as the grout in the shower exhibits mould. The taps are outdated. The carpet is aged and emits an unpleasant odour. There is a limited selection of food available.

The rooms were big, there was coffee and tea available in the room, they also had room service available... My room was very quiet, away from the lifts... You could also store excess baggage, which I definitely needed and appreciated... The breakfast was good... I had just flown in from London and needed a quiet room to help me get over my jetlag... Overall it was a good stay...

What I didn't like about the property was the fact that the staff told me that a $1.00 holding charge would be charged to my card for any extras, this of course is normal for most hotels and is standard, but as it turns out this was not the case, the price of 1 full night stay was charged, some $200+ dollars, so when I checked my bank account online, I was of course surprised, when I went to breakfast, I spoke to the staff and they said that this sometimes happens, and that it will be amended within the time of my stay... I queried this with 2 different staff members, both told me the same information, it's not that fact that I was charged, it was that I wasn't told in the first case that this could happen, especially after travelling for over 36 hours and jetlagged, this could have saved me so much stress... So for clarity, I arrived at the hotel at around midnight, checked in and went to my room, probably settled around 2am, went for breakfast, then went back to my room, again to recover from the jetlag, at about 3pm there was a knock on the door, I got up to answer the door, and just as I reached the door, there was a second knock and the door started opening, it was house cleaning, they did not say anything when they knocked on the door, it was my fault for not putting the door not disturb card on the outside, but they should call out and stated who they were before entering...

Close to shops, free parking.

Ev charges didn’t work, bed uncomfortable. Everything dated and dirty. Previous guests hair in shower and hair ties on the floor of the room. Bed sheets were the wrong size for the bed and did not fit on the bed properly, we had to keep readjusting them. And cleaners did not make bed properly when they did come to clean. Staff rude and inconsistent with policies and information - tried to accuse us of things we didn’t do.

Location, breakfast was also very good

Bathroom facilities- shower in particular, the water was impossible to regulate and the shower head was calcified sending water everywhere. Toilet roll holder was loose on the wall We don’t expect top quality aesthetics for the price but we do expect them to work properly.

Noise proof. TV.

Bath Towels had long hairs on it. Coffee Cups and saucers had coffee sugar stains still on them. Showers are old dated. Breakfast was cold and orange juice had lots of black floating residue. Not good enough, bad for a Mercure hotels.

Parking was easy to get in and out off. The tv was a good size to see wen sitting on the bed

Shower was hard to get the temperature right. Also no tea or coffee in the area only the kettle. The internet kept dropping out.

Location to where I needed to be.

Drains smelt. Self check in was fine. Staff member appeared once I'd collected the card. On checkout there was someone at the desk but they never said bye or thanks for the stay. No point having people there if they are not going to check you in or out or say hi or bye

It wasn't very clean, and the bed was not made up and no extra bedding for the pull-out couch.

Room, cleanliness, breakfast

Breakfast was amazing. Only $21 if you book it the night before, $26 I believe if you book the morning of. Regardless plenty of options….scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, toast (white, whole meal, Raisin toast) with basically any condiment you could ever want on your toast, automatic coffee machine (hot chocolate too!!) pancake machine, cereals (4 different kinds) yoghurt, chia pudding!!! Fresh fruits, Pepita seeds, slivered almonds, allllll the good stuff! Honestly cannot fault. 24/7 room service (bottle of wine $18 with a gourmet stone baked pizza (ranging from $18-$22 at any time of the night straight to your door in a comfy bed and great aircon, great place. Would 100% stay again especially for such a great price! Service was good also and I got lucky enough that my room had already been made up and was ready at 12:30pm to get an early check in with my little ones!!! So perfect. Thanks!

Had parking and lifts.

No microwave, complementary water bottles and only one bedside table.

Nothing, room was dirty, staff were rude, coffee was bad just not a great experience

Were given wrong room and not much help to fix it. Ordered room service arrived cold and undercooked. And took a long time to arrive

Location was convenient for walking to neighbouring large shopping centre. Car travel was easy using major arterial roads and motorways.

Shower appeared clean with the door opened inward. Once in the shower or with door opened outward, the top corner was visibly unclean . The wall vent above this area was caked in dust also.Toilet seat became loose during stay

Location was good for what we need to d, close to the main highway easy to go to the main parks and acces south bank area in Brisbane as well.Room was clean and breakfast fair, nothing special
