- This parador is a massive construction set up high on a hill with breathing views. An unbelievable experience! It was about 1.5 hour drive from Barcelona. We only stayed one night but wish we had stayed two.
- The experience of staying in an original castle
- The staff and hotel were wonderful. We had adjoining rooms for our family (2 adults, 3 kids). The rooms are so spacious we would have been fine in one with the sofa bed. Great stay.

- Carpetings all are dirty. Need to be replaced Dinner was just ok

The location. Staying in the castle was an experience by itself.
Receptionist at check-in was lukewarm.
Beautiful views, historic experience and five star touches. A tremendous value!
Amazing to stay in a castle. Great restaurant, great views, great breakfast. Very romantic.
We loved our stay at Paradores de Cardona. The rooms are lovely - the beds are very comfortable, high quality bed and bath towels, and bath products were lovely. Building itself and the views were incredible. The staff were hard working and available - we especially want to call out Jonithon, Carla, and Ramon from the food staff as they were always exceptional. We would stay here again for sure.
Our family had multiple rooms and our key cards never worked more than once. The hallway carpet between 301 and 303 is a trip hazard.
Joni, Ramon and Carla were outstanding. Check out was really simple.the dining room room staff were excellent. We enjoyed the meals
We had dinner in the restaurant. We enjoyed the atmosphere and there were some interesting choices on the menu. My husband tried the goat and he enjoyed it very much.I enjoyed the nice hot shower with plenty of water pressure!and we enjoyed the view from our windows and being able to open them up!
beautiful building as a heritage treasure...amazing site..majesty castle...beautiful scenery...good restaurant...sweet memories to stay here
i got one of the worst room location..in front of PUBLIC toilet....my room seperate with the majority. hotel rooms.and when i asked to change or upgrade with the additional payment..they said already full..i don t know exactly about the reality..honest or not..i want at least normal room..but cardona castle remain me enjoy..
Very cute area and nice to have a unique experience staying at a renovated castle.Free sauna, you just have to book a time.
Unfortunately there is no free coffee, and you will need to walk up or down up or down some elevation if you don't drive (it is on a hill).
The restaurant was fabulous, and the staff was great. The bathroom was spacious, as was the room, and the views were breathtaking. Incredible medieval architecture, fascinating history, including an Orson Welles movie being filmed on premises.
Nothing not to like. Stayed two magical nights.
A wonderful experience to stay in a real castle. The bedroom and bathroom were comfortably appointed and we had a fantastic view. The.food in both.dining places was delicious. Breakfast.was very good with extensive choices.
Everything was good
Great stay at this beautiful historic castle. The hotel and rooms are very clean, beds very comfortable and a wonderful view from our window. Breakfast was very good and we also had lunch there and it was delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
There was nothing that we disliked.
Exceptional ambiance, fantastic views of the countryside
Parking was difficult, onsite services were somewhat limited.
We loved the restaurant experience, delicious dinner and breakfast. Great meals and friendly service
Would have liked coffee in the room . Also we were confused upon our arrival on the location of the entrance and where to park.
It was a beautiful old castle on top of a mountain.
I was not able to take a tour of the parts of the castle that was not able to be seen. I felt like this should be complimentary. Also the interior I feel should be backdated. It was too modern.
The dinner and breakfast were great, very tasty. I love the dining area with it's cavernous arches, really a great environment to appreciate being in a castle
This is a criticism of the modernization of castles that I wish they didn't do to the degree that you often see in castle hotels, that they have incorporated modern building methods using drywall. I just prefer that a castle be it's original stone and mortar walls for as much as possible
Most of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel/castle was gorgeous and so interesting. The breakfast was very good and the bar was comfortable with really cold beer. The patio was lovely in the evening
Our room had steps to get to it and there were no porters to help with luggage. we asked at the front desk and the man there was very rude. He was the only rude person we encountered. Also, the kitchen didnt open til 8 pm which was a bit late--after a long day of sightseeing we were hungry and would have liked even a snack.
Location was excellent. Loved the history of this location and it’s preservation of its role in the history of the region.
Shower/Tub were extremely slippery and dangerous for us, as we are both in our 70’s. No anti-slip mats or handrails to aid in stability and entering/exiting the tub and shower. Very treacherous. Also, our Room, 203, the shower made sudden and extreme noise from the tub jets while in use. Very loud.
