    Pros +

    • Great value for money. Location was really good. Pet friendly was an added bonus. Staff were very friendly and accommodating with an early check in.
    • It was close to the beach, and the toilet and shower were clean.
    • For the price not great

    Cons -

    • Needed a separator between the cabin and the caravan. There was no curtain on the windows.
    • I could smell something strong inside the cabin, which was a bit unpleasant.
    • There were a few issues, for 280$ a night. We stayed in lola There was dog poo at the door which my son didnt see and stepped in (Not from us) and walk though into the accommodation which wasnt great. No hot water to do dishes etc had to boil the kettle. Large dip in the anex which wasnt easy walking. You get given a number to text if you have issues, which we texted as the table was broken and couldnt fold properly which results in the bed for the children not to fold and sit properly, this issue resulted in my daughter with a broken arm who had surgery to fall out of the bed. No response to our text and you cant call the office. All in all for the price per night not a very good stay at all. You also cant park at your site

Staff were lovely, helpful and kind. I went for my birthday and a chill out at the Hot Springs nearby. Loved the caravan - so cute, cosy and well done. Place was really peaceful, near to shops and a great getaway, so I ended up booking another night. I also took my 6 month old kitten (his first big adventure!) and he loved it too; I wasn’t sure how he’d be but he settled right in immediately. Was lovely that I could bring him.

I didn’t have anything to complain about. Really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed staying in caravan 'Peggy sue', she was stylish and perfectly located for me to ride my bicycle to town, the beach, dinner, hot springs and the ferry. It was a fun way to stay.

Hot tap didn't work, everything was otherwise fantastic.

Great location, very friendly staff. Super clean and very easy to navigate. Nice and close to the main street and the pier.My only advice would be to bring extra blankets if you are going at a time when the nights are cold.

    The retro van

Sensor light in ladies bathroom wasn't working well

Great location easy enough check in. Comfortable n cosy. Bathroom great.

No where to park, tidy but not really clean. Very cramped little park.

Love this place as its dog friendly and a good location. Prices reflect that it is a little below standards in terms of being up to date, utensils and equipment provided however for the price you cannot complain.

I have been here several times and a little disappointed there were ants in my cabin the last 2 times I stayed. The lady on my previous visit was also a little rude when checking in for payment.

    Convinient Location

Very old ( I know the name of the place is retro); not very clean (dust, webs); beds not very comfortable. Due for a renovation, get new mattresses, new linen. Also expensive.

    Thanks again

Suggestion - I think the tap in the caravan meeds a new washer (needs alot of strength to turn the tap off, tricky to stop the final dripping).

Good price and good location, owner is nice and helpful when my parking issue happened. The room is clean and cozy.

    1. Our car parking space has been occupied by another owner when we arrived. It was cleared for a few hours but occupied again when we back from hot spring, we had to phone and sms the owner to seek alternative solution. However the owner told us we can park anywhere and offered late check-out which is helpful.2. We arrived to check-in around 5:30pm, the reception had an "open" sign on the door and door was unlocked, but when we entered and ring the bell, no staff approached.3. The toilet is in public area and no private toilet in the room. (I know I didn't check carefully when I book the room, but if more warnings provided that would be great).

Great showers. Loo. Spotless. As my partner is 6.2 tall. Plenty of head space.

Parking. Unsure. We're to match up Carvan number. Getting in late. Bigger Signage. Name on Carvan number.

We had a wonderful time in Peggy Sue due to its comfort and privacy, it was quite quiet for this time of year which added.

    9ElizaPosted on: 2-10-2025

Peggy Sue had everything you needed. The caravan was nestled in a quiet corner of the caravan park, close enough to all utilities. The caravan was perfect for two; with a deck to enjoy the outside.

Would have been amazing if the car for Peggy Sue could be parked closer, but still not too far away!

Quiet area and campground and perfect location

    6HendryPosted on: 1-19-2025

Caravan was cute. Beds were comfortable. Good location. Caravan was well kitted out.

Place needed a massive clean. There were lots of ciggie buts all over the ground around our caravan. Toilets/showers had been recently renovated (very nicely) but needed more regularly cleaning (some of the other guests were grots and left the toilets in a pretty gross state). There was also a large ant infestation in our van. Lots of live and dead ants (which should have been sorted out before we arrived). It looked so cute in the pics so we had high expectations .. which were unfortunately let down by all of the above.

Location, close to all the amenities and the beach

    Toilets were a bit far

    8EduardoPosted on: 1-18-2025

Excellent stay at this place. The location is superb and our caravan was very comfortable. It was well-equipped with kitchen utensils and a TV with Netflix. The communal toilets were very clean, and the overall atmosphere around the site was peaceful.

Some caravans don't have a car park spot, so you might need to let your car outside. However, it is a short walk. Communication with the staff after hours might be a bit difficult, I SMS'ed asking about the parking and never got a response.

    8HariPosted on: 1-14-2025

It was clean, cozy and comfortable. We loved the location as well since it is closer to the Pier, restaurants and shops.

Some of the game machines were not working and couldn't get the dollars back as well. The game room can be added with some free indoor game items.
