    Pros +

    • Location to the village Uniqueness of the hotel Air conditioning Breakfast included and the terrace is very pretty
    • The staff are friendly, natural and relaxed, and always helpful. We felt so comfortable here, it has a delightful atmosphere.
    • Perfect location on the medieval bridge into the old town, closeby parking, comfortable room, good communal areas

    Cons -

    • It does not have parking, so initially we were parked far away. But then we were able to move our car closer later in the evening
    • For the high cost...no shampoo, lotion. Think there should be a cooked option for breakfast.
    • We didn’t like the bathroom, the pillows were very hard, and there was something strange about it, not much appeal.

Right at the Medieval bridge entering town. Free parking outside. Large room, very large. Old style furniture, which I much liked.

It's a 140 years old building with comfortable room, free public parking is near by for 1 min and more space left after 4 PM in summer season. The brackfast and staff are very nice. and location is clost to bridge

Perfect picturesque location in a unique historical building. Rooms are big and bright. Very friendly staff and small extras available like tea, coffee, snacks or cookies. Parking just outside.

    10LauraPosted on: 6-5-2025

We loved the historic nature of the building in the warmth and friendliness staff. We also took advantage of the spa and had massages, which were excellent.

Amazing views and rooms, you feel like a medieval lord. There are some cats around and staff are friendly to them which makes the hotel even more welcoming.

    The view and the location

We didn’t like the bathroom, the pillows were very hard, and there was something strange about it, not much appeal.

It’s a lovely old fashioned hotel. All the staff are pleasant and attentive. Great view of the bridge from our room. Nice breakfast in the morning.

    10JohnPosted on: 5-10-2025

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and quiet, making for a very comfortable and restful visit. The breakfast exceeded expectations—fresh, well-stocked, and a great way to start the day. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, adding a warm and welcoming touch. Parking was convenient and hassle-free. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

It was right next to the medieval arched bridge, and the room had a nice older feel. The woman at front desk was very helpful and friendly.

    nothing negative to say

We cannot say enough to praise this hotel. Location is excellent, beautiful views, friendly helpful informative staff, lovely cat (Croqueta)! Our room was so spacious and lovely and we walked all over the town with no difficulty.

    10MarkPosted on: 3-12-2025

The property location, right at the end of the famous bridge, is ideal. It is also right next to the parking lot, which makes transferring luggage relatively easy. The rooms themselves were very pleasant and comfortable, plus there were very nice sitting areas, one with a cozy fire burning. The breakfast was very good, with fruits, breads, pastries, meat, yoghurt, and more. They even had food out for snacking throughout the day. There was also a very large outdoor patio and terrace area, which appeared to be delightful, though it was closed for the off season when we visited.

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property.

Great location, lovely large room with a bathtub. Charming touches in the hotel from over a hundred years ago.

Breakfast was fine, but expensive at 15 euros.

Very beautiful hotel in a historical building by the medieval Besalu bridge. Very kind reception lady and other staff. Lovely breakfast. Amazing views, beautiful room. Just perfect!

Great location next to the bridge of Besalu. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. We even got a tour of the hotel and information on the history of the family owners. Spacious and bright room with air conditioning. I loved the library room! The breakfast was great, with a nice variety of sweet and savory offerings. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.
