Restaurant on site is excellent. Fabulous Breakfast. Setting is beautiful.

Booked a large room but was fobbed off with a very small room. Single female traveller. Building and rooms very run down and needs updating. Door lock was not good and very difficult to make work. Smallest Bathroom ever and shower would not work at all.

Staff friendly. Had set evening meal which was delicious. Breakfast was one of the best too.

Rooms could do with a make over. Hotel little isolated but was OK for our needs.

    evening meal good, also breakfast

generally furnishings and some fittings clearly well used.

    6ChristinePosted on: 5-12-2024

A very good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice.

The room and decor was rather tired. Not a lot of space but perfectly adequate for an overnight stop.

Set in beautiful scenery with close proximity to the main town. Delicious breakfast. The place has a 'time stood still vibe' which is wonderful.

    Maybe just update the towels

Very nice location. Calm envirionment and friendly host

The breakfast was excellent and the new shower in the bedroom very nice. Also the view was wonderful. Stars at night amazing due to no lights nearby.

The entire property looked messy and rundown. Garden run down, outside stairs not swept, filthy linens in dining room (and we were the first in to breakfast) the floor looked like it hadn’t been washed in months. Also the house had a musty smell.

The breakfast was amazing!!! So many delicious food to choose from. It was a very pleasant stay in a very charming hotel with very friendly staff.

Amazing food in the evening, super friendly staff, a good base to go hiking in the neouvielle lakes

Location a bit far from St Lary, but compensated by the old fashion flair! A Great stay !

Old family hotel in a quiet country area run by a very nice proprietor. The hotel appears to be in need of refurbishment but the rooms are comfortable with ensuite and excellent shower. The dinner was 5 star and rated the best meal we had in France.

    7CathrynPosted on: 5-30-2023

The staff were friendly and the home cooked food was very good.

The building is very dark and a bit tired. The rooms are very small.

    6JohnPosted on: 5-17-2023

Breakfast was great. Dinner was nice.

Could have been cleaner. Decore was shabby. Towels were rough. Grounds needed attention

Having staged, marketed and sold real estate for 35 years, this is a primeexample of owner not keeping upwith maintenance and updating- loosing any competitive edge… not protecting the resource. This property has great POTENTIAL!- it sadly suffers from significantamount of “deferred maintenance” and needs updating. Landscaping is also severely neglected Someone with vision needs toDO SOMETHING!Good luck.

The room is big for my family.Location towards the town is near too.

The heater cannot be adjusted. It turns cold in the room during the night.

    9MariePosted on: 10-21-2022

A good welcome a tidy, clean room. The rooms have seen many summers but meet all the necessary requirements. The hotel is in a rural setting and from the bedroom balcony there is a great view of the mountains, a lovely setting. The restaurant is fantastic, delicious French food, it is a must to eat here. The breakfast is vast - an amazing variety of foods - and the breakfast justifies the slightly higher price.

Great breakfast and evening meal was excellentPool looked a bit green so didn’t go in unfortunately

Nothing much around about but we were only staying overnight as part of a bike trip
