Ibis Barranquilla

The location is great and the breakfast was very good. The breakfast staff were very good as well.

The check in staff, at least ours, was very short tempered and not good at her job. The room literally had no room for two suitcases.

The attention of the front desk staff was the best. even that they were way understaffed.

Rooms were very small, No coffee makers in the rooms or ice machines on any floor

I’ve stayed at this property over 5 times and will continue to stay there. The location is premium, putting you in walking distance of restaurants and a major mall. Friendly staff and a safe location

Hotel was nice, clean. It had a good breakfast. Walking distance from Viva mall. Good places to eat near by.

Only thing was my mattress. Bed was big but the mattress should be changed.

The location of the hotel was good. Breakfast was decent.

The room was small. I think they need to include small towels in the bathroom because they only had big one. A fridge would've been nice to have in the room. They have two elevators and only one was working. The elevator itself couldn't hold that many people, so it was a hustle trying to get into the elevator.

Pillows smelled so bad, like sweaty and disgusting, we did not report it as it was late at night but we did not sleep on them, you can imagine already.. door lock has problems it gets stuck… bathroom shampoo dispenser empty for my stay, I had to wait 30 mins because no one was available to refill it, Fair? No I don’t think so.. I called about 4 times and all they would say was someone is going someone is going in 5 mins.. and not a single apology.. anyways last but not least, the check in lady.. God .. she could not look any more disappointed doing her job, there was no warmth, took forever and was not friendly at all. I look at this and I think it’s a huge part of your experience because Ive worked in this industry for so long so I know the importance of making a first impression for the guests...

Location was good and also the neighborhood was really secure. I came for the Barranquilla Carnaval and it was just 5 minutes walking distance to the street of the activity.

There were no refrigerator in the rooms in such a hot weather and a hot city.

It was in a safe part of Barranquilla. Nice breakfast with a lot of choice.

Humidity in the room but what can be done with such weather? :)

Like every other Ibis Hotel, this one is safe and with good comfort. The breakfast is also totally correct for the price. I think it's globally a good deal. As every Ibis hotel are very standardized, you always know what you get in advance... except in this case for the waiting time at the reception.

The check-in process should definitively been rewieved. For some unexplainable reasons, it took more than10 minutes per person and there were 5 people in queue when I did mine. So you can do the math by yourself. Just be aware of that and plan some extra time in advance for it.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the AC.

The check in experience. I was delayed half an hour to an hour because I didn’t have my passport on me and no where did it say I needed a passport to check in. Also, there were extra charges that was not disclosed when I booked the room. The receptionist wasn’t the friendliest, and it was 12 at night so I was tired and made the delay that much more unpleasant. I wouldn’t have minded as much if the girl was a little nicer.
