    Pros +

    • Nothing just so bad
    • Property was as advertised, clean, well located to the city and for day trips to Cadaqués. Staff was helpful and breakfast was fantastic. Excellent value for the money
    • The position

    Cons -

    • Just hated this place - walked in and walked straight back out - bad bad smell everywhere - smelt like a public toilet - cheap disinfectant or bleach - makes you wonder what they were trying to hide
    • We had two double rooms and in both rooms after one shower (10 minutes) we didn’t have any hot water. We asked maintenance to check and he just told us we needed to wait for the boiler to heat water again and when asked how much we were to wait he just answered “the time it needs to heat water”. Completely unhelpful. Hot water came back after more than an hour and a half. Consider it was November and really cold in the room.
    • The whole room smells of mould. The bed is clammy and smells. There was only one window to the atrium in our room, so the air can never circulate. I slept only little because the smell was so intense and unpleasant.Breakfast is extra for 15 Euros per person.

    It’s central.

The room was quite big (after reading comments I did not expect that!), the terrace, the kitchen, the staff, cleanliness, etc - I liked everything. What I was surprised with is the staff's willingness to help: there was a minor issue with the coffee machine that did not affect us at all, we just mentioned that to a staff member, and it was fixed during the night! Same for minor issue with the stove, it was fixed in like 15 minutes. We were also allowed to leave the bag for entire day.

The staff was super kind in letting us arrive later than the check-in even though we alerted them very last minute

The walls are super thin and non existent, you can hear everything from the next rooms and above like the people are inside your bedroom.Cleaning and overall services also veryvery basic

The hotel was very close to public parking which made getting our stuff to the hotel, which is in a narrow side street, was easy. Although breakfast was across the road, the breakfast exceeded all expectations. All in all I can happily recommend the Hotel Agora for a short break.

nice location , very quiet room , book in is opposite in bigger hotel , nice friendly staff , i was walking and able to store backpack nice double room , no view as such but a delightful sun terrace on the roof with amazing views of coast and pyrenees ,I was there in late september and had terrace to myself

the location is not obvious , the "trendy" hotel sign was more art than informative , not a lot of english spoken so some spanish very useful , not a cheap hotel but probably the best value of those available in late september much of puerto de selva was closed

They have very nice terrace on the roof and free coffee machine and kitchen on your use. You can buy breakfast from Hotel spa Porto Cristo where you need to do the check-in but having your own on the terrace is also very nice with the sea view

Hotel really really need to do improvement with the air quality in the rooms. There is no window outside and aircon didin't even turn on and room smells very bad. I first thought the sheets were wet from lundary but it was just so humid in the room. If they would fix this it would be just nice hotel and ok price

Its a gorgeous location 50m from the beach, Agora is an additional building to the main flagship 4star 30 seconds down the road. In fact all the hotels in the village seem to be in the same chain. This was literally on the beach. Well maintained, and clean, and an amazing terrace and a kitchen that we could access that was a surprise on checking in. The whole location was well maintaned and inviting. the staff were helpful when asked and organized a transfer to the airport that worked perfectly. we also could not get a late checkout and this was totally understood but as we wanted to stay at the beach they gave us the access codes so that we could use shower facilities at the marina which was truly fantastic. the shower was also great in the bathroom which was overall well equipped.Overall though if I was going back and this was the option I would book again, the location and the staff were good and the bed was comfy and the AC worked.

The plumbing has an airlock and the way the individual cisterns for each bedroom are daisy chained there is a very loud whistle as it clears when water is run - every time the water is run.My room was tiny, I mean literally, I think it is this way from how the building was converted for room distribution. On every floor there are 4 bedrooms, 2 are small and 2 are larger, (I peeked with house cleaning weren't looking!) We had a small room and when we came in the door and had to squeeze past the end of the bed to get around it between the desk that was there. We also could not walk around the bed if our bags ( holdall that are top loading) were not stacked upright in a corner. We were only there for 4 nights but had I booked a week I would have complained directly, we literally had no space and no solution for wet swim gear as the window was to the central atrium.I recognize I was looking for a good price but this was very very small. A suggestion I would make is make the desk foldable from the wall and remove the wardrobe. At least them you can access your bag.As I said though if I was going back and this was the option I would book again, the location and the staff were good and the bed was comfy and the AC worked.

    * Good location.* It was easy to check in and check out.* There was a proper Air Con in the room.* WiFi worked fine.

    * There was no socket near the table.* The room was small and I could hear my neighbours.

Location was excellent in the centre of the town. The room was clean, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom was new.The roof terrace was great for a beer watching the sunset.

The only setback is that you could listen to other people talking and closing the doors. Soundproof could be improved. The common staircase smells a little bit to a close space.

The staff and the facilities were superb, the terrace was just the cherry on top!

It would be helpful a sign that says where is the reception, I booked online and didn't know that the reception was on the hotel in front, apart from this all excellent.

Reception very helpful. Next day the lady gave me some great advise regarding starting a walk of the local area.Breakfast great. I did not realise I could have made a hot drink downstairs the previous evening, that would have helped me warm up!!

Even with air con, the room was cold - it improved when I closed the door to the unheated bathroom.Could have done with more blankets but used closed and the towels instead. To be fair it was freezing outside and I arrived at the hotel feeling cold!

Everything you need, with clean, comfortable rooms. Worth paying for the breakfast if not includes in your package.

Bit of a leaky shower cubicle, and shower head moved away under pressure of the water, meaning some moping up to do after using, but not the end of the world.

    2LisaPosted on: 11-3-2021

    The location was good.

The value was extremely bad. First off, the reception is in another hotel and the card we got to enter our hotel did not work, I had to run back there twice before the card finally was fixed. The room didn't look fresh, the one night lamp did not work and had questionable electricity connections with several cables being connected in a non professional way. Dead mosquito still stuck on the wall, the shower door was only half in its rail, a loose, not working light switch. The room was poorly soundprooved and any other person talking in the hotel could be heard.

The location is really close to the beach and therefore great. There is a whole bunch of restaurants around. The breakfast takes places in the neighboring hotel and is amazing. The terrace on the top floor is great for sunbathing and offers views of the sea. Our room offered a lot of space.

It wasn't really clear that the check-in takes places in another hotel a couple of meters away. The staff at the reception didn't feel really welcoming. It was super loud in our room at night as the window was facing the street. When people switched on the light in the hallway at night, the whole room becomes illuminated. Same goes for the TV that drenches part of the room into a shiny blue light (might sound like a tiny stupid detail but if you are someone sensitive to light while sleeping it can have its impacts)

    8RicoPosted on: 8-17-2021

Big room, nicely equipped. Beautiful roof terrace.

Check in had to be done at another hotel across the street. The room's interior was a bit old-fashioned, but clean and well kept.
