    Pros +

    • The staff was so helpful and nice. Could not have picked a better place.
    • The location was excellent. It was centrally located and easily accessed. Also the staff, as always, was extremely friendly, helpful, and sincere in there willingness to make sure there guests were comfortable and cared for.
    • Cute property centrally located. Very accommodating to store luggage, offered water on arrival. Our room was on the bottom floor next to the street. Great layout for us with two beds, roomy, comfortable. Not a problem as it was quiet at night; upstairs stairs are narrow so was grateful not to have to hoist luggage :). Did not eat breakfast so no comment.

    Cons -

    • There was not anything that we disliked.
    • Curtains did not close completely which would have been preferred on street.
    • Difficult to get there by car, but that's due to the old structure of the town, so really nothing to complain about.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very picturesque setting. Very good VFM

Quaint and charming. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Pillows were too soft for my comfort. But bed was nice.

Lovely, small property that was very centrally located . Helpful staff. Lovely room but on the small side ( typical). Able to get a glass of wine in the evening and coffee & croissant for breakfast. Very reasonable price .

    Liked everything

Front desk person was friendly and welcoming

Cannot get close to the hotel by car you have to park minimum 300 meters to 1km away ( and it’s not cheap). Also, it’s advertised as a 3 Star hotel and yet it has 2 stars on the sign on the side of the building, I’d put it somewhere between a 2 and 3 Star place to stay. Both front desk people I dealt with ( upon arrival and then departure) were very nice.

Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonable price. Great location.

Room was small, but not that big a deal.

Wonderful variety of breakfast food. Friendly staff. Attractive and clean.

Not sure we stayed in a family room as requested. A couple, at breakfast, mentioned they did not get room requested. After they complained they were given a large family room. We arrived later. Felt our rooms were switched - ?

The staff were so helpful and friendly in every way. The breakfast was one of the best! Great variety. Great coffee! Location couldn’t have been more convenient. Our room was so lovely. It was quaint and well laid out. Bed comfy. We had absolutely no issues with noise or anything to disturb our slumber.

    Friendly staff and quiet location.

Found a cup of tea from a previous stay in our room upon check-in. Floors were not clean.

Location was great, hotel was cute, breakfast was good.

Location was in old city center- parking would be ok for very small vehicles but definitely difficult for the large van we had. We were told breakfast was 13 euro per person but ended up being more, plus city tariffs. Made breakfast way overpriced.

A delightful property in a fantastic location. Quiet and clean but the toilet was a tiny space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Stairs could be a problem with heavy bags as no elevator

There is really nothing not to like about this hotel

    9NigelPosted on: 10-8-2025

The hotel is a charming, repurposed amalgam of medieval buildings, with comfortable rooms and full facilities. We enjoyed the breakfast, with a wide range of foods. The staff was extremely obliging, especially as we had to contend with a train strike on the day of our departure. La Muette is well located in the hear of old Arles, in easy walking distance from several of the major Roman monuments.

The only real problem was that the upper floors were not served by an elevator, but the young staff were ready to carry our cases up for us. Some people might find the absence of a proper closet for clothes as a inconvenience.

This old, old building is charming, quirky, and appealing. You know you are in Arles when climbing curving, tiny stairs and walking in a low, narrow hallway. The hotel vibe reinforces the character of the city. Also, everything worked just fine, as it should.

Bike storage was excellent, except quite a ways from the hotel, requiring quite a bit of time. Also, lighting in the hall and stairs is inadequate — way too short, and the stairs are narrow and almost treacherous.

Location was great. Front desk staff very personable and helpful! Rooms were of adequate size and felt very private. No noise whatsoever at night.

A very beautiful boutique hotel with a great location — very convenient for visiting the main attractions.

The hotel is located in the city center, but there is no parking available, and driving in is quite inconvenient. You have to contact the front desk in advance so they can lower the road barrier to let you in.

    Location

    1. The hotel is in the center of the town, it's restricted area and need to ask for access. I gave the car registration number to the hotel but the didn't ask for access ahead of time. So when I drived to the town gate from outside of the town I had to block the gate and call the hotel for access. It was a bit inconvenient.2. No moblie or wifi signal in the room.3. The basin is a little blocked.
