    Pros +

    • The room was cozy with a view of the landscape. The enthusiastic, pretty blond gal at the desk was welcoming, patient, and helpful. We enjoyed strolling the main street in the evening and next morning. We had a fabulous dinner at the Cardenal Hotel. The breakfast at Rey Don was pleasing.
    • Location was really awesome-right in the heart of the old town. Parking garage was also available in nearby location. Good size room, very clean, comfortable bed, nice updated bathroom.
    • Location

    Cons -

    • Due to the medievale walled town parking was a challenge. We struggled to find the hotel and then find a lot, which was paid. Perhaps it was our miscues, however, it posed some tension.
    • Servicie in bar -Waiter disappeared and took forever to charge us. Pillows and mattress are very hard.
    • A bit of a walk up the steps from the parking, but perfectly acceptable in an old town.

Excellent location, bar/seating area opposite, underground parking for 11 motorbikes down the hill and excellent value. Vaida (the manageress) was truly an exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble for her and everything was well organised. We had dinner inhouse which was very good and reasonable. Breakfast was good for 11 hungry bikers. Would definitely recommend for a group such as ours.

A bit of a walk up the steps from the parking, but perfectly acceptable in an old town.

Rustic charm and environment of the hotel. It's location was perfect for our visit to Morella.

Breakfast wasn't the best, fried bacon/ham and scrambled eggs were the "cooked hot" options available daily. Sadly on each day these were very, very dry and not enjoyable. So toast it was with the cold options of ham and cheese.Dinner again on one of the nights we stayed wasn't the best either, my wife ordered the Caesar Salad and it had 2 small bits of sliced chicken, I had the Charcuterie and Cheese board, which arrived with only the cheese, had to wait between 10/15 mins before I could get the waitresses attention to say that I hadn't got the meat. She eventually brought out 5 small slices of ham, needless to say wasn't the greatest and disappointed.Shower wasn't great either, the showerhead didn't fit in it's holder properly.

Room was small but acceptable. Receptionist was excellent and helpful

No Car Space provision. Public Car Park usage only ..150m from hotel. Took me 15 mins on foot to find the street the hotel is on. Info. on this should be provided on booking. Tea/Coffee not in room.

Stunning location, excellent value for money. Room was clean and comfortable; evening meal and breakfast were very good.

We had booked a parking space. It was very difficult to find, mainly due to our lack of Spanish!

The location is perfect for this family run hotel. It is old, a little tired here and there, but the friendly staff work really hard to keep it clean and in order.Everything worked as expected. The mattress was a comfortable memory foam type, and the linen was good. I've seen better towels, but they were quite decent and perfectly acceptable. The bathroom had a good supply of hot water. The buffet breakfast is well worth having. A good varied selection and very hygienically presented. We did have dinner in their restaurant one night, and that too was delicious and excellent value for money. The bar was very well stocked with a wide selection of beer, wine and spirits. We had a great time there, despite visiting during some bad weather, and it'd make a great base if one wanted to tour, or hike, the local area. Our motorcycle was kept safe in their garage, which is secure, and just a few minutes walk away.

We stayed over a weekend, and our first floor bedroom was both directly above the hotel bar and opposite a restaurant and bar on the other side of the street. Both are open until late, with the bar opposite having a license until 1.30 am. On one of the nights, and I'd stress just one night, the noise outside was very disruptive. It didn't bother us too much, living in central London, but if you are sensitive to noise late at night, it'd be worth asking for a room in the rear of the building.

Very central location. Everything worked fine. Quite decent breakfast and the restaurant was OK.

Service was uneven, with some workers with a great attitude and some not.

The town is very nice. The hotel room quite small, quite old furniture. Clean. Breakfast very basic.

It would be nice to change hair dryer, it was super old. Thin walls, you can hear neighbours.

We had a lovely stay, great staff, perfect location for sightseeing and amazing value for money, we would definitely return in the future.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff were very excellent . The dining room was to close at ten but they kept it open. As we arrived at 9.50 pm so we could have a three course meal .The hotel is in a great position . I say walking distance if the car park Castle Prison and tower .

    We liked it all

We first visited the Hotel and Morella in 2018 when we led a group of +50 people on a walking holiday of the area. The hotel is just as good now as it was then but the bathrooms have all been upgraded and are now much better. We were on a full 'pension' and therefore had an excellent breakfast and dinner each day, with a superb choice of excellent quality locally sourced food. It was worth returning to the hotel, sometimes things change over time but the Rey Don Jaime has stayed just as good as the first time.

If you want a view of the mountains and surrounding area ask for a room at the back of the hotel, otherwise you will be looking over the bar and shops across the road.

The property was in a great location and well appointed. The staff were helpful and answered all our needs. It was great value for money as it included breakfast.

    Friendly staff, clean, great location

The bathroom had a sewer smell that as very unpleasant. They tried to deal with it but l believe it is a structural issue.

Quirky traditional hotel in a prime position, great views, lovely restaurant across the road.

Reception staff on arrival friendly and very helpful/ informative- lady in the evening quite rude and unhelpful.

We stayed one night, had dinner at the hotel, good value for money. The room was clean, bed comfortable. We send a message an hour before arrival and they had the room warmed up. No complaints!

the hotel location is perfect, right in the very center of the town. public parking lot a few minutes away and free of charge over night.

the quality of breakfast products could be improved

friendly reception and bar staff, good value for money, it was our 4th visit to this hotel and good as always. Dining room staff ( a lady) very friendly and attentive.

At one lunch and breakfast the waiter was not very attentive.
