Hotel Real de Castilla

My family and I really appreciated the nice quick attention we received from Isabel who served us breakfast at the hotel. She also checked us in and out.

The room smelled strongly with disinfectant or pest control spray and old appliances. You could hear others in their rooms, so obviously others can hear you in your room.

The friendliness of the woman working at the desk, location, and price.

The photos look better than the actual room. There was old decor and unattended maintenance issues.

Travelling with dog and both were made very welcome. Good coffee and pastry for breakfast. Parking was easy but not the hotel’s

I guess you get what you pay for, we normally stay in a lesser starred property in Tordesillas but thought we would change this trip and chose this from some reviews. The main problem was breakfast does not start till 8am, which is too late if you are heading to a port, it’s just a little tired

Staff very welcoming and helpful. No problems with our dogs, really kind.

Underfloor heating! But no moving air in the room (apart from opening the window - not ideal in winter), which isn't good for drying things if you're on a velo or moto. Comfy beds! Helpful owners. Close to the autopista, but tranquil.

Rooms look a bit 80s.

The walls are a bit thin, so you hear everything in the next room. The shower needs replacing as it has seen better days.

It was a bit dated but everything worked fine.

In the hotel great stuff is working. Everything is clean and comfortable. There is free open parking just in front of the hotel and they also have underground paid parking. Pet-friendly!

To handle temperature of the air-conditioner it's necessary to call on reception.

Very good value for money. Quiet during the night, and close to the town centre.

The restaurant was closed, and there were not many places in town that were open, perhaps because it was Sunday.

Location was ok, not far to walk into the town

On a busy road, run down, next to a building site. Charged us €6 each for our motorbikes which I was aware of prior to booking however did not therefore expect to be told that we had to put the 3 bikes all in one car park space, car’s are charged €12 for the same space, unbelievable! They apparently have a swimming pool, sauna etc but all that was out of action.

The location was convenient, and there was free parking across the street.

The bed was hard, and the walls were thin. We could hear the next room talking at 5:30am.

It was easy to find and close to the town centre for restaurants, etc

The owners were the most miserable people - absolutely no welcome or interaction - check-in took forever - they charged exorbitant prices for all extras that were mostly poor eg garage and breakfast. Couldn’t adjust the temp in the room - the controller had a key box over the controls to prevent adjustment - it was a cold night when it went down below freezing.The room rate did not represent value for money.

Location and pets are free.

In my room (301) a kind of penthouse the ceiling was not this height.
