Hotel Merindad de Olite

A wonderful little hotel with lots of old world charm. Very central to the centre and castle. Charming hosts and very helpful. Parking nearby, bags can only be dropped off. 20 minutes.Very good restaurant on site, highly recommended.Peaceful night.

Lovely hotel located in the centre of the town. Basic continental breakfast. Lovely room with big comfortable bed

Very noisey room. We were in room 1 and could hear the restaurant staff clearing up at night below us and could not sleep. We asked for another room but they were full. They moved us to a sister hotel 5 minute walk away. So no complaints about the way we were treated. It is a pity because we really liked the hotel overall.

There was no kettle in the room for tea or coffee.Breakfast was a little too basic. And no lift - so take note.

The location was great, right in the old town and the area outside was quiet. The hotel has medieval interior design and can be a little dark. The receptionist was very helpful and provided hot water to the room for us to make tea.

We were in Room 11 and were very dissatisfied as I expect residents in Room 12 were. We were right above the very noisy kitchen which didn't stop service until 11 and then they were clearing up. We were also right next to Reception. This meant that we did not get a good sleep. I complained to the Manager who was completely indifferent to our concerns and refused any compensation at all. The breakfast is served rather than a buffet and was pricy considering what you were given.

Very small bathroom. Needs refurbishing. WiFi didn't extend to bedroom located. No mini fridge in room. No chest of drawers and few hangers in wardrobe.

Room was fairly small but was comfortable and very clean. Air con struggled a little but it was 38 degrees in the middle of recent heat wave.Restaurant was good,

Bed was a bit uncomfortable, limited outdoor space. Breakfast choice limited ie no fresh fruit or yoghurt.

The hotel is charming and well located. The rooms are a little on the small side but adequate. The Restaurant is excellet, had two really good meals there and the staff was super helpful and friendly

The beds were hard, if you like hard beds then you are fine, otherwise a pillow topper would go a long wasy to making them more comfortable

Room was lovely

The fact we had to carry our bags from the car park up a flight of steps and several hundred meters to the hotel. Only much later in the stay did we find out we could have unloaded outside. The gentleman booking us in at reception really should have mentioned it, especially as it took 40 minutes to do so. Information booklet in English on arrival would have been welcomed.

A lovely character filled hotel within easy walking distance of the vibrant town center and all its bars and tapas restaurants. Friendly staff and so much old world charm. Felt very clean and we wished we were staying longer than a one night stop over. We had a very enjoyable few drinks just a short walk away in the town square observing the Friendly local people enjoying each others company as only the Spanish can do, great atmosphere. Car Park just a five minute walk away and felt very secure with good sized spaces and I'm a bit paranoid about leaving my car but I felt OK this time. Superb breakfast served in a lovely part of the restaurant.

It is a very clean hotel inside the old town.

The room was very small, and you could hear everything in your neighbour's room.

Nice location. Staff helpful in the hotel. Room was small, sparsely furnished, but clean & with great views. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Easy 2 minute walk into the town. Hotel has no dedicated parking, but free parking in a car park just opposite the hotel.

One of the waiting staff in the restaurant was less than helpful, giving us the wrong language menu & watched us struggle.Having to carry heavy bags from the car some distance to the hotel - ok if you are physically capable, but would be a challenge for anyone who is not.

Great location, spectacular view from the balcony of room. Also a roof terrace which we did not use as this was a short stay.

The bed was a not comfortable, little too hard for us .

Excellent location neart to free public parking

Chuck steak is very tough and not suitable for dinner menu as it needs several hours cooking to make tender.
