- Not a lot
- For the money it couldn't actually have been better, I am super picky, especially for quietness, cleanliness and comfort, and I don't write many reviews so this actually counts for something I hope. Great air-conditioning also from Samsung. One caveat, we were only there for a night, because we were traveling through, but still.
- Excellent facilities - modern hotel - a bit out of town. Bed was comfy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed one night while on a road trip and had a light snack for dinner plus breakfast . Very good value. We are a mature couple and are travelling by car so the distance from "town" was not an issue. Would be a great base for a couple of days if exploring La Rioja by car or even bicycle.
Cons -
- Surly staff, toilet rolls were very basic, I am partially disabled and asked them to put me near the lift, so they put me the furthest away they could. Asked for help to book a table at the adjoining restaurant, which they recommended and they refused. There was no milk for tea, and the coffee was non existent. Not nice at all.
- The toilet sometimes didn't stop flushing but I don't think this is something that happens in other rooms and it will probably be fixed quickly.
- I didn’t like the staff from the reception both the man and the woman who work in the front door. I book two nights and ask about breakfast and they told me that was included and than the next morning they wanted me to pay extra 10 euros even thought I pay 70 euros for a night. Also not professional that instant of staying at the reception the staff was sitting at the bar.

ok
Food - ordered the burger and was asked how I wanted it cooked. I requested medium rare but it was clear that the beef patty had been defrosted so should not have been given the option of how I wanted it cooked. I asked for it to be cooked more but was still not sufficient. Disappointing.
The staff was friendly and help us with wineries suggestions. The room is very clean and comfortable. They have their own parking.
The hotel is faraway from downtown, consequently you need a car to visit the turistic points of Haro. The breakfast was expensive and poor. Additionally, the Hotel doesn't have their own hall for meetings.
The room was good and the staff were very friendly
Very poor selection for dinner. The staff seemed reluctant to offer any hot food
We had a fantastic stay at ETH Rioja in Haro. The lady on the Check in desk was very friendly and helpful. The room and en suite bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable with lovely pillows. The buffet breakfast was very nice. It's a great place as a base to explore Haro and the beautiful Rioja region.
Huge suite with big comfortable bed and large bathroom. Nice breakfast.
We’d picked this stopover, which was relatively expensive compared to the alternatives, specifically because we’d driven a long way and had planned to treat ourselves to a nice in-house restaurant meal and a drink that night. The location is on an industrial estate on the edge of town with no restaurants in walking distance. Unfortunately both restaurant and bar were closed during our stay. The manager was polite and apologetic and offered us the chance to get a free light meal (salad) instead, which was appreciated and shows the hotel pays good attention to customer service, but in the end we made other arrangements and would probably have found another hotel if we’d known about the restaurant closure in advance. This should not be taken as a general criticism - I think we were just unlucky with timing, and we did appreciate the attempts to fix the issue.
Good location for the town and onsite parking. Room was good and excellent bathroom towels and shower etc.
Would have liked another power socket or USB point as only 1 socket in the room that I could find with an adaptor in it to take 2 plugs which isn’t enough when you have a CPAP machine, phone charger, MIFI charger and hearing aid charger
good for a basic overnight stay.
we have stayed here on other occasions and the standard's are not so good. No soap or shampoo/shower gel. sink plug missing from washbasin. no plus in point near to kettle had to the TV to use the kettle.
Great welcome from staff, room clean, small and compact, but perfectly fine for a couple of nights. Parking right outside and no charge.
It's a little walk from town on to an industrial estate, fine as a group of us.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious with nice views.
It's a 30 minutes walk out of town and difficult to get a taxi at night, and during events. Okay if you have a car though. Minor maintence issue - vanity basin didn't drain and had a leak caught by a bucket.
Good location, pleasant half hour walk to town.
The lovely restaurant and bar was closed “temporarily”. It was also closed 8 months ago, when we last visited. We have previously stayed here on several occasions, primarily because we enjoyed the excellent restaurant so much. I hope it does re-open. However, breakfast is available.
nice room
Bathroom was flooded when we arrived...changed room. The restaurant was closed for dinner...had a sandwich in Haro!!
It was clean and staff were friendly
From the reviews I was expecting an on site restaurant. There was one, but it was closed. The nearest place for food was a 2-3km away in Haro. I’d have stayed in Haro had I known.
A clean, comfortable hotel.
The bar and restaurant was closed which was disappointing.
Quiet.
No provision of food in the evening. Fortunately we had microwaveable ready meals with us! There are no convenient places to eat near the hotel.
It was a good hotel to stay at, we were only there for one night, it was clean, quiet, everything worked and was as it should be.
Nothing it was all good.
Spacious rooms, comfortable bed.
Heard to find, the pin on the address took us to a packaging plant down the block.
