    Pros +

    • The location of the hotel is awesome; right by the city walls and the ancient Basilica of San Vincente. The room was comfortable and suitable for my needs.
    • The hotel is right in front of the walls and the entrance gate to the old city. Just minutes walking to the restaurants and bars. The room is very comfortable and clean.
    • Excellent location just outside the city walls so easy walking distance to centre/bars/restaurants Secure parking next to hotel for €20 per night - well worth it

    Cons -

    • The restaurant was expensive, and closed around 4:00 pm each day.
    • Mini fridge would be good in the room.
    • Rooms were clean but quite basically furnished

The location was excellent, just outside the wall. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly.

It was extremely noisy from other guests. The doors are heavy and you could hear people slamming them at all hours of the night.

    9PatrickPosted on: 2-25-2025

The room was huge and comfortable it had a great views of the walls as your right opposite them, Staff very helpful.

The curtains need to be blackout as there are very strong lights lighting up the castle walls and the curtains simply cannot cope so the room was very bright all night.

Great location, excellent breakfast next door. Good secure Garage.

    9RosePosted on: 11-10-2024

Room was big and spacious leading out to a small roof terrace. Comfortable beds and decent bathroom. Great value for money. The location was brilliant, literally just outside one of the main gates to the old city walls. Tourist Office next door and also a good restaurant, serving a great breakfast, next door.

Although parking under hotel, good driving skills are needed to park in cramped space!

Very close to the city centre. Just across the road from the city walls. Parking was easy.

Room was dark and a little dated

The hotel is in a superb locations, right by the city wall. The room was very clean and plenty of space & storage. The bathroom was great. Very comfy bed with nice clean bed linen. It has parking (extra payment needed). It has a bar & restaurant right next door. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The tourist information is right below the hotel with access very close to the front door.

Although it is always a bonus to have garage parking, it is a very tight space so wouldn't recommend for large vehicle. The bar/restaurant was only open during the day but its not that far to walk to lots of others.

A great family-run hotel. Secure garage for motorbikes with easy access from the main road beneath the walls of the city. Clean and modern. Go to the adjacent bar and restaurant for refreshment.

Comfortable and well-appointed hotel in city centre, right by the iconic medieval Ávila city walls. Spacious room, comfortable bed, great shower. Very helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

Perfect location for the city, right by the city walls. Friendly receptionist

Garage parking was necessary as no street parking.Clean, with Netflix which was a plus.

    10MariettaPosted on: 8-13-2024

Entrance to walled city directly across the street.

No free breakfast, nearby restaurant expensive.

    8SimonPosted on: 7-28-2024

The hotel had everything you’d need for a short stay at Avila. Right next to walls, easy to walk the whole town. Room facilities were all there.

The car park was very easy to find, but the car park and the individual spaces were really small. I blocked two spaces, and had to back out of the car park, I couldn’t get an angle to turn around. My car is large, though.

    9KellyPosted on: 6-29-2024

Perfect location opposite the city walls, spotlessly clean and the beds were super comfortable!

Being in a city parking was an issue not having its own car park but we were lucky to find a free space one street down and out of the paid parking zone

    3TerryPosted on: 6-19-2024

    very disappointing.

No reception when we arrived. No reception when we departed. No services or room refreshments. A coin operated vending machine for coffee.

    8McdogPosted on: 6-4-2024

Great location and a quirky, compact room with great views.

The paid parking was impossibly small and a bit expensive. We could just fit our car into its slot with a few centimetres to spare.

    5JohnPosted on: 6-1-2024

    Close to the old city

I booked an upgraded room with a view of the old city which turned out to be a very Spartan room with poor quality furnishings overlooking the recycling bins and by a very busy main road at ground level.

    6HaymanPosted on: 5-25-2024

Ideal location next to Avila City walls

Very basic hotel with no facilities only the room. We were greeted by the receptionist in a really grumpy manner and not at all helpfull. There is someone at the reception only from 2pm until 8.30. We came in about 9pm and the place was deserted. There in no facilities for breakfast but the bar restaurant next door is owned by the same company. If you go there you have to order what you want and eat it in the bar and that is likely to be toast and coffee.

    9WendyPosted on: 5-13-2024

Basic hotel but excellent value. Lovely big room overlooking the city wall. Close to bars, restaurants, tourist attractions etc. Private parking a real bonus
