Pros +
- Absolutely lovely staff...so kind and accommodating. I felt really welcomed and valued as a guest. He let me check in early, and even after I checked out, I was able to leave my luggage in the room for a couple of hours and use the bathroom when I came back. The room was very sweet, the bed extremely comfortable, and I loved the private terrace.
- The location is just great, close to everywhere, really worh the price at all! The lady was very kind to us as the explained how to enter at anytime since the main door closed at 4pm. Cozy facilities and clean, the room was small but comfortable. I definitely would come back!
- I ended up staying in the sister hotel across the road from Arco San Vicente the Sofraga Palacio due to a mix up in my bookingThe Sofraga is a lovely period hotel classically furnished and great rooms The restaurant was great for drinks with a deal on with free tapas not to be turned down Breakfast was equally delicious with plenty to choose from I can’t fault the hotel Sofraga the outside cafe is equally great serving food and drink for guests or non guest Lovely walk in shower and spacious bathroom too like the bedroom
Cons -
- Nothing really. I did think the hair dryer was a bit strange and difficult to use, but it did the job.
- No toilet brush in the bathroom all I can think of which I was surprised about considering it’s a four star hotel
- Our room had upward facing roof windows only

Brilliant location just inside the city walls. Charming old building
Our room had upward facing roof windows only
Central location
No tea/coffee facilities. The cafe attached to hotel only did dinner, no breakfast.
It is in a nice location just inside the famous walls of Avila. It is a friendly and efficient family-run hotel. The only drawback is the lack of secure parking for a motorbike, but this can be overcome.
Ants
There was ants on the room and you talk with booking and the hotel say there wasn't even when I show them an evidence
Loved the location! So close to everything we came to Avila for! The hotel had the traditional atmosphere we were looking for! The room was cute and had everything we needed. Loved having the patio for tbe afternoon sun! The staff were helpfull and the cleaning of our room was exceptional! Thank you to our chamber maid! Would definitely stay here again and will most definitely recommend this hotel to my friends!
Good location. Very friendly staff. Helped me with re-arranging dates due to transport issues & accommodated an early check in.
Room bit on the small size.
The location was great
The taps and other things like this were old. And the heaters weren't that powerful (I think it was just our room)
Very central, close to restaurants and cafes.
A bit noisy, from outside and inside the hotel.
Perfect location inside the city walls and close to cathedral and restaurants
We appreciate the friendliness of the staff and how close it was to the Muralla de Ávila. The location was excellent.
This is minor, but one of the beds didn't have a night lamp. There were three of us in a room. Also, a few towel hooks in the bathroom would have been helpful for drying.
Excellent location. Very new hotel. Comfy beds. Amazing!
quite hot in the room during the summer
Superb location, brilliant staff. breakfast was great. very comfortable beds, large balcony on which we were able to put up a washing line.
shower above the bath, difficult to get in and out. The lights in the underground car park switched off after such a short time we were left in the dark. No air con.
Very central location. The staff was very friendly and tried to make our visit pleasant. We was able to have the door to the backyard open at night for fresh air.
For the price I can't think of anything.
the lady on reception was very nice, the location is great.
bed was so uncomfortable, the shower didn’t work as it should. as soon as you turned it on the shower head would push back getting water everywhere.
nice clean spacious room with strong hot water. good location inside walls, friendly staff, good WiFi
nothing. great
We enjoyed a lot the location and the cleanliness. The room is quite nice and comfortable. The linen was great! And the price, too.
The hotel is a little outdated. The room, the bathroom, we were in 1990, to say the least. The breakfast was poor and could be much better.
Great location. Breakfast ample and cleanliness exceptional
