About
The San Miguel lies in the historic heart of Segovia, just off the main Plaza Mayor and facing the emblematic church of San Miguel. Ideally located for exploring this ancient and monumental city, the hotel has its own historic past. The building dates from 1860 and was once a well-known inn. It was converted to a hotel in 2002, and now contains a bar and restaurant serving a personalized menu of traditional, local cuisine.

Pros +
- Location ! Location! Location!Bonus -The hotel had an elevator ; the view was great & we loved having the window open but it could get loud (suggest to bring earplugs- it helps !)They have a restaurant and bar onsite.
- Friendly receptionist, room seemed nice, right offthe Plaza Mayor…until nightfall came .
- Great location, right in the city center. For the money, a great option.
Cons -
- Can get noisy on busy nights .
- OMG, the noise from the “street of bars” made it impossible to sleep. Despite closing the windows and shutters, the constant yelling/screaming/drunken manic laughter until after 4 pm was a definite problem (this was a Friday night). We requested a change to an inner room for our second night, which was must quieter (despite a trash-littered courtyard view intead of a street view); able to catch up on some missed sleep, at least.
- The house is old, there is no soundproofing at all. Combined with the fact that it is the city center and its residents and tourists party until 2-3 am, there was no chance to rest or sleep, it was more like trying to fall asleep in the middle of a match at a football stadium. Separately, the headboard of the bed is forged, just like a fence, and from a damaged / broken piece I first scraped my back, and then my head in my sleep.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good hot shower. Great tapas bar downstairs, fantastic location, good value.
Very dark room, difficult to put make up on due to the poor lighting. Worse thing was the noise from the bars in the street which went on both nights we were there until 4am.
Very basic accommodation but clean and comfortable . Great bar/restaurant downstairs with great free tapas
Could be very noisy in the front facing rooms. We asked for room at the back and had no problem
clean and comfortable
wifi is a bit slow ^^
Great location great value.great restaurant down stairs.very central to everything.we had secure parking for my motorcycle.
The WiFi didn't work in our bedroom
Amazing location and fabulous value for money. The bar is very popular with locals and has a great local vibe. And it has an elevator yay!
Nothing, it was great ??
Loved the older man who checked us in, the great location, the character of the historic building, and having a balcony and wooden beams in the ceiling. The style was dated but the room was spotless. Good price-value ratio. Would stay again. Thank you!
The pink walls add a 1970's vibe. Nothing wrong with the 1970's, but the building was built about 1860. Plain white walls would make the atmosphere feel much more authentic and possibly would increase travelers/improve reviews.
Great location right off Royal Plaza. My room had a balcony overlooking the street. The restaurant downstairs is popular with the locals too. It was a great value for the money.
No complaints or issues.
Very friendly people, good restaurant, perfect location
The room was small but very comfortable and cozy. Bathroom was small but worked perfectly for our needs. There is a friendly small restaurant within the hotel that has the most delicious coffee and tostada. The location was perfect walking distance to everything you wanted to see. Very close to Plaza Mayor. The staff were friendly and smiling, not much English spoken but we had enough Spanish to assist us. Parking is away from the hotel but a very nice man took the car and parked it for us and brought it back to us on the morning we left. We truly can't wait to go back, it is a spectacular town and so much to see.
Location, very central, good neighborhood, value for the money.
All the attention of the staff/owner was for the restaurant business, almost no attention to accommodation. The noise from the restaurant/bar does not blend well with the accommodation.
We loved this hostel! Comfy room, great location, the staff were so friendly, the decoration was so good and it was very quiet during the night.
Excellent location near the cathedral, shops and restaurant.Room gets cleaned every day.
The whole place is very poorly decorated: paint coming off the wall in places and furniture very dated and odd bits put together . Main person in charge not always very friendly, particularly when I asked for them to arrange a taxi to the station on my last day. This might have been due to her hardly speaking any English and myself not fluent in Spanish.Entrance to the hotel not very inviting and could do with a de-clutter: broken furniture lying around, boxes with ?? in them and a basket with baguettes on the floor etc.
Perfect location. We walked everywhere. Historic buildings and restaurants were close by. The proprietor and the staff were PERFECT! Friendly and serviced every request with a smile.
When we had to leave to continue with our travel plans. Very sad to leave.
The location was good. The room was pleasant and clean. The beds were comfortable. Although the furnishings are a little dated, they are maintained well.
The pillows were very flat. There was constant low-level noise from ventilation/air-conditioning units that were on a rooftop near the bathroom window. Any water that spilt outside the bathtub during showering drained toward the room.
This hotel is across from the historical San Miguel Church in the center of Segovia's Old Town. You feel you're in a European hotel and all the charm it has. The staff were friendly and the housekeeping was done daily. All of this for 55E's per night. The bathroom was large and clean. The bedroom had quaint wooden shutters that surpass blackout curtains in every way. If you want the charm of Segovia, this place is spot on.
I would have preferred a walk in shower instead of a 2 piece
Superb location in centre of old Segovia but that created a problem in getting there with a car. Car had to be left and parked offsite at 17eu 24 hours. Didnt have breakfast and it appeared not much on offer
Parking. The main problem I had was the noise from numerous bars and restaurants almost outside my window + a friday night and a festival day. Didn't get much sleep before 05.00. Hotel is very "pokey"
the location was incredible, the staff was wonderful
bathtub/shower old and needed fixing
