Pros +
- The hotel is gorgeous! The people at the front desk were warm and friendly. The view from our room was breathtaking. The hotel has everything you would need in terms of dining. I will stay here again.
- Excellent customer service whenever we had questions or requests. We didn't have a chance to eat there this time. Location was perfect!
- It’s a parador, so of course it’s going to be classy and comfortable in a beautiful setting. There was a bathtub, which was relaxing.
Cons -
- Can't think of anything
- The castle walls are thick, but the bedroom walls aren’t. I could hear my neighbors when they came in. Their talking was audible but indistinct. Breakfast is good, but not worth the hefty 19 euros price tag. I only had it once in 3 days.

We just love staying in Paradores. The building was grand and the room pretty special. Both breakfast and dinner excellent and food in the bar also very good. Very good value out of season.
Nothing!
I liked everything, beautiful historical builidng an location. Very comfortable room. Friendly staff and great food.
Location, confort, service
The bar and casual eating, especially the friendly barman. Hilltop location
No courtesy tray for teas/coffees. No hotel transport down the very steep hill into and back from the town. No bathrobes. No walk in shower. Threadbare carpets.
Excellent room - very comfortable bed
Felt under pressure to commit to meals - which we resisted.
Staff in cafeteria very good.
Staff at breakfast not very attentive despite very few guests at that time. Lack of glasses, juice ran out, had to find someone to take our breakfast order as no- one came to our table.Rooms should have tea and coffee facilities.
Poor
We were given a menu in English in the cafeteria and ordered a meal from it. When the meal arrived it was not what was described and contained ingredients which my wife was allergic to. It turned out it was a really bad translation. These things happen, but the hotel was not interested. They insisted on charging us even though the meal would have made my wife ill. Unbelievable for a major chain of hotels
Reception and Departure efficiency Parking facility
Lateness of Restaurant opening for Dinner
The superior room had great views. A comfy bed and a good bathroom. The staff were first class. Check in was easy and early. We chose half board and would recommend this. The dinner was really good quality with great service again. It was our first time in a parador and didn't disappoint. Wonderful castle if you have time to do the tour it's 7 euros. Easy parking right outside. Breakfast is very good. All in all very good value for money.
Nothing, although a hot drinks tray would have been great but this is unusual in Spanish hotels.
Stadf were excellent: very professional and helful. Facilities.werevery good and location was stunning
Nothing really,
Amazing location. Cafe staff amazing, friendly and helpful.
Nothing, amazing stay.
It's a Parador, of course it's good. Great room and facilities but the bed was like sleeping on a board. Good breakfast, of course. I've stayed here before and I will stay again but next time I'll make sure I've taken a couple of ibuprofen before sleeping.
The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was like sleeping on a board.
Being up on a hill, amazing views.A worthwhile tour of adjacent building with 13th century paintings; while mainly in Spanish, the guide can partially explain in English.Hotel staff was kind enough to let me use a slow EV charger outlet.
It was a one-night stop, high on a hill, but WAZE got us there.Appreciated the foldout bed and comfortable duvet in the cupboard. This is a historic hotel and the bed was carved (quite beautiful) but no bigger than a queen-size. Parking excellent. Breakfast was good, with individually-cooked items well done.
Dinner not available until 8.30 pm (standard in Spain), and a stately approach to dinner service, meant that dinner was a very late affair. No tea/coffee availability in room. The shower was in the bath. Most of the hotel guests seemedto be of retirement age, and there's no way that people with aching knees would get in/out of the bath comfortably.
We love staying in Paradores and have been to quite a few by now. The old, well restored castle of Alcaniz is spectacular. The room was reasonably spacious and comfortable. Brakfast was excellent.
After staying and eating at multiple Paradores, we have for us decided that dining is generally overpriced and not worth it. The old saying: the fancier the restaurant, the smaller the portion and higher the price — comes definitely true here. In the future, we will continue to enjoy the breakfast, but skip dinner and eat out.
Amazing building in a fantastic location, with clean and comfortable rooms
Bed could have been bigger
