Pros +
- The room was clean and spacious an the little restaurant over the road was our saving grace, it was very nice.
- Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable pool area.
- Cleanness, room space and confort, pool.
Cons -
- There's so much that we didn't like. The overall feeling of the hotel was pretentious and stuffy without warrant. The staff were not particularly helpful. There is only one tiny elevator that takes forever, using the stairs if much faster but not if you have any mobility problems. The buffet meals are very basic and not particularly good. The piano bar was awful, very loud classical music plays until quite late, you can hear it in the upstairs rooms. Not everybody loves classical music, especially when dining. Parking is limited. Outdoor lounge chairs are very uncomfortable.
- Hotel is servicing too many people. I was never able to take a jacuzzi or steam room as there were long waits, Hotel guests should just be able to use the facilities when they want to. No service at the pool. Unable to buy a drink or any snacks, no bar open during the day. Long line for coffee every morning in the restaurant. Buy 2 more espresso machines! They never restocked the room with water during our 4 night stay.
- Hotel was noisy - Piano going until midnight and could be heard in the rooms. Some of the local businesses were not the most welcoming.

Hotel and grounds were really nice. Area is beautiful.
Hotel was noisy - Piano going until midnight and could be heard in the rooms. Some of the local businesses were not the most welcoming.
The Jardin restaurant was a wonderful surprise- very elegant food, fabulous service and very reasonable. The grounds were lovely and the setting was gorgeous.
It’s in need of some updating- the bathroom counter was delaminating and the towels were old. The bar was only open Friday and Saturday. No kleenex or coffee facilities in the room and you had to order room service for ice.
Clean
No English menus or staff speaking English except reception and a couple of waters.
For the hotel to send me a receipt of my stay by email, as requested through the website and by email. Still no receipt and sending another message for the third time.
No receipt.
The restaurant, spa and staff were excellent
The beds were very hard. We weren’t expecting that. We woke up every morning with a sore back
Comfortable room, nice location, good breakfast. It was a great stop off on way to ferry.
We went partly for the gym which looked great. However the opening hours were restrictive (eg. not practical to use before breakfast), some of the kit was broken and no air-con. It would have been nice if there had been some leaflets/maps about short walks in the area.
The room and en suite with the view was first class.
The mattress it was like sleeping on a slab of concrete. It was so awful I had to spend most of the night dozing in a chair.. my husband did mention it when he paid the account. We were both so tired the next day .
Great location and easy parking. Lots of amenities on site, but I used few. I did opt for a massage, excellent! Ate 1x at cafeteria. Huge salad! Great waitstaff! Great hot showers and fluffy towels!
Mattress rather extra firm. I do like firm mattress but Spain tends to have very firm. This hotel was similar to others, so not unexpected based on prior hotels earlier in my trip. Walls thin. I had noisy neighbors in 105 last night. Talking loudly until nearly 1am! Many voices, so they apparently had guests over. Earlier, they were on the balcony, pretty loud, too.
The food, the room, the spa and the location almost every thing.
We stayed at regimen of all included and when we went to the restaurant we found out that we had to pay for drinks. Very very disappointed about it. I will never stay at all included regime in this hotel if one day I come back.
Lovely spa, nice rooms, helpful staff
Breakfast could have started earlier than 8 and to only start supper at 8:30 was way too late for us. The coffee shop sold only very limited snacks so was not a good option either. There was no room service or tea/coffee facilities in the room but there was a fridge.
Room very modern and confortable. Breakfast very complete and variated.
Reception staff quite inaccessible. Telephones bussy all the time.
This hotel is in beautiful surroundings. It is well appointed.
The reception staff member was as close to surly as makes no difference. Although the hotel is well appointed much of the material used is plastic (eg the floors which pretended to be wood). It did not feel welcoming. Although the bedroom was baking (26C?) the air-conditiong did not work or was switched off. Our welcome card indicated that the restauarant only served meals to those that had booked (Including breakfast?). Dinner had to be take within an hour and a quarter window so we chose to eat in the cafeteria which was across the road from the hotel in its own grounds. There the staff were more welcoming even though I was overcharged (soon corrected after I pointed it out).
Nice room, big and clean! The Staff has been extremely kind and helped with some small stuffs I forgot to bring with me.
The breakfast time. For a business trip, breakfast from 8:00am is too late.
Loved the location. The rooms are large and airy with monitor bar/fridge always a plus.beds comfy. Rooms spotless. Breakfast delicious so much choice
I didnt like the buffet evening dinner, which was all there was on offer for 2 of the 3 night stay
Lovely rural location just 30 minutes from the Santander Ferry Port. Plenty of dining options with two adjacent hotels jointly managed by the same company. Wide-ranging breakfast spread. Easy to extend our stay when our ferry was delayed.
Nothing to add.
comfortable and clean with helpfull staff
I thought the meals were not that good.
Very good choice of food at breakfast. Hotel staff were attentive.
I can’t really think of anything. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but wandered into town for dinner. The cafeteria across the road is part of the hotel and good for drinks and food.
