    Pros +

    • The view was great and the location was fun in a small town
    • We booked on the day and the price was very good value especially with a very good breakfast included. The location was perfect and the view of the estuary from the balcony at high tide was stunning. Being able to swim across the harbour from the hotel garden was the cherry on the cake!
    • Very nice hotel,good size,peaceful location.Great dinner

    Cons -

    • Price
    • The gym facilities were horrible. The place was very loud and noisy as there was a wedding in the evening. The front desk was helpful but a bit bothered by our requests. The small boat to run from the facility to the beach during high tide was never running
    • There was nothing to not like.

Perfect location, nice room with good shower and. Bed.

I tried to write the comedy of errors that happened at this hotel, but ran out of space! Safe to say terrible service, untrained staff, hotel policy is more important than customer satisfaction, I will give one example, hairdryer didn’t work, they didn’t have a spare I could just plug in, no handyman available to repair or replace and it was against hotel policy to let me dry my hair in next door unoccupied room! They Delete emails from outside Spain, unread, because they were scammed a few months ago, so don’t email.Likely you might have to eat dinner with Disco beat and Viva la Espana coming from bar other side of glass screen.Don’t book Dinner B&B because if you decide to eat off Al La Carte you won’t get allowance and only one Choice of main, none if you are vegetarian on set dinner menu, plus it’s beyond the comprehension of the staff! When you come to settle your account, you won’t get a bill, just the receptionist telling you the amount you owe! I insisted on an account and yes they were trying to overcharge me!I wanted to speak to a manager, none available until after we departed, asked that the director email me, so I can email him back, because if i just email it will be deleted unread! Because I’m outside Spain. Haven’t heard from him as yet! Will I?The sad thing is the location and setting of this hotel is perfect and as we visit northern Spain most years to follow the Vuelta, followed by couple of days R&R it would have been the perfect place to return to, but sadly left more stressed than when we arrived, disappointed as have found hospitality and service at most northern Spanish hotels very good.

Superb location, walk straight onto the beach or straight into the small town. Even have a boatman on duty to help you across the water at high tide. Spotless room with perfect views onto the beach and mountains. Food excellent. What more could you ask for.

Nothing to say other than this isn't a five star luxury hotel its a really decent 4 star family hotel and good value for money.

Blissful location .. overlooking the bay and walking distance to both Noja and Isla only if you fancy a walk, as the food in the hotel was amazing as well! The boat giving people lifts across the stream during high tide was such a wonderful and charming service ..

    Fantastic beach and lovely pool

The hotel changed our dates two days before we were due to arrive - a bit stressful

Breakfast, Staff and Location were fine, we have stayed here frequently over the years and have always enjoyed our previous stays.

We were allocated room 316 next to the lift shaft consequently noise in the later part of evening was inevitable as guests retired for the night. What was unacceptable was guests in a nearby room were talking very loudly until the early hours 1-2.00 am

    8KatiePosted on: 4-6-2024

Great room (superior double with garden view) which has its own terrace. Ate well at the restaurant too.

Not much in surrounding area (other than the beach / sea)

Great place to unwind and chill after a long drive. Not far from ferry terminal. Nice local walks.

Nothing to do with the hotel, Spanish holiday, nothing was open in the town

Location is fabulous overlooking a beautiful beach and within walking distance of a small village. My friend had her 1st ever gluten free calamari rings and they were delicious. The food was very good and there was a good selection for breakfast.

We were there in mid October. Because of the open plan layout in the bar and restaurant it was a little chilly.

We were touring in Northern Spain and the Olimpo was our last hotel before getting the ferry back to the UK. We arrived at the hotel on a Saturday afternoon. A wedding reception was in full swing. Nevertheless, we were dealt with quickly at reception. The restaurant was open so we went for a late lunch. The staff were attentive and friendly and we were quickly seated. I was pleasantly surprise to learn that the restaurant had been Michelin listed before the Pandemic. The quality of the food on offer still matched this status (and at a very respectable cost). There is also a good wine selection not unreasonably priced. The room was comfortable and the associated terrace offered splendid views across the adjacent beach. Although the furnishings are outdated, that is trivial compared to the value for money this hotel offered. We look forward to staying there again.

A lovely hotel on the peninsula. The receptionist explained everything to us in beautiful English which was really appreciated. The hotel was spotless and away from the road. It had its own beach and pool. A perfect place to spend the last night of our holiday. We booked a superior room with terrace, sea view and half board. Really good value. The evening meal was delicious and breakfast had all you could want. We had the most amazing view of the bay. The hotel provides swimming towels.

Good sized car park. Lovely welcome. Beautiful, clean room with fantastic views across the pool and bay. Great choice for breakfast and the breakfast room overlooks the bay, perfect start to the day! We only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back. We stopped at four hotels during our 'Tour' of Spain and this was by far the best hotel we stayed at. Thanks you Hotel Olimpo

    Can't think of anything.

Staff were a little short with us initially but much better later.
