Pros +
- The location was wonderful for watching the river and relaxing. The dinners were delicious. We had one evening the staff was a little flustered by a huge influx of people from a tour group I think, but otherwise were very nice.
- Very nice property with great views. Breakfast was included and very good. Also enjoyed dinner two nights in a row, as food was excellent.
- The staff are super friendly. Amazing Views and the SPA service was really good
Cons -
- Parking is a challenge. Paid parking is straight down and straight up to get out and street parking is limited. Not easy to walk outside the hotel - no trails just the road. Nice pedestrian bridge once you have walked down the road. Cars can be fast.
- Parking was mostly on the street. Sidewalk to downtown is very narrow, would not want to walk it after dark due to car traffic.
- It is close to the city so for one night, next time will go to the upper hotel with the amazing view of the vineyard. For more days, I think is better to be close to the city.

The first thing is the landscape. Second thing the variety of wines. The silence and the ability to disconnect from the reality. We needed it.

Location was good in Douro. Stunning view. Breakfast was just ok though the staff was excellent. Had a nice room but I just don’t like small tub/showers. Near a great winery, Pachca.
Location is great, wonderful view of the Douro river, rooms are very nice and clean. Staff is amazing. Breakfast is excellent.
The view was incredible! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the restaurant was phenomenal! It’s difficult to say the highlight of our stay because everything was perfect. The room was very spacious, and the view was breathtaking.
This is a nice hotel with lots of amenities.
Although not far from town, a car is required and it's a few minutes drive to any activity.
Well kept. Good location. Great staff. Quiet and comfortable room.
Beautiful view of river. Very nice breakfast. Front desk staff helped us with day trips
It would be nice to have a shuttle for Regus downtown
- Spacious room with nice views of Régua/Douro river- Comfortable bar area with lots of seating and quiet environment- Omelette station in breakfast room
Spa Issues:- Jacuzzi not working: Lack of clear communication from staff about when it would be operational.- Due to the policy of free stays for children under 12, the pool area was noisy and not conducive to relaxation.Meals:- Breakfast disappointment: Basic and industrial-quality offerings, missing local and fresh regional products (e.g., quality cheeses, cured meats, fresh pastries). Items like the "rabanadas" and coffee were subpar.- Dinner at the bar: Poorly made sandwiches with untasty ingredients, long wait times (30+ minutes), and small portions that lack refinement expected at a 4-star hotel.Room Issues:- No coffee amenities: Absence of a kettle or coffee machine in the family room. The extra cost for coffee capsules felt excessive.- Lack of communication clarity: No extension details for contacting reception and no flyers with area timetables (pool, breakfast, bar, etc.).- Outdated entertainment options: The TV lacked streaming services like Netflix or YouTube, which is a standard expectation at modern 4-star hotels.
Clean cozy room with beautiful view. Good breakfast with enough choices. We had dinner at the restaurant. The food was very good. The location is very close to the town. Just a shout walk cross the bridge. There are plenty of free parking space just out side the hotel.
The breakfast serving could be improved.
Clean, facilities, breakfast, spacious rooms
Not enough parking lots
Good breakfast and very good dinner, stuff very helpful and very gentle Very clean and great location with beautiful Douro view We will come back, we really loved everything
Very Family friendly, great customer services and excellent location for those who needs a great place to go back to after exploring and driving around the region. Good breakfast too
Parking on the street was the only thing i did not like much, but it did not bother me as much as it bothered other travelers.
The location, the room was big and breakfast was amazing. Staff very kind and helpful.
Please consider putting a mirror in the room as well, not just in the bathroom. Pillows and mattresses should be replaced.
The location was close to the city and the main vineyards, like Pacheca. Breakfast was good and the view also nice.
Very quiet and comfortable. Great river views. Large balcony.
The rooms are huge, the beds are very comfortable, the view from the room is gorgeous. The restaurant in the hotel is simply excellent. Don't miss dinner there.
The pool is indoor and not really inviting. The towels are in the lobby (3 floors above the pool) it's a bit ridiculous. There is nothing to do outside the hotel. The place itself is deserted. We need a car.
Location and Employees quality and sympathy
There was a small incapacity to give enough cold air from the air conditioners during the weekend…
