    Pros +

    • The staff was very helpful and friendly.
    • All staff were friendly and helpful. Location is perfect.
    • Nothing specific

    Cons -

    • I wish the bar was opened until later. The price for the spa and bar was a bit high.
    • Between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m., there was constant loud noise from heavy furniture being dragged across the floor. Despite multiple complaints, the issue persisted ( with short breaks). Staff initially claimed noise was allowed until 8 p.m., and only around midnight offered us another room. As we were leaving early the next morning, we declined. Fortunately, the noise eventually stopped, allowing us some rest.
    • You have to pay extra for the gym, the spa, the parking… not enough sun lounges for all guests… not what I expected overall. I won’t be returning to this place.

Clean plan in great location and good breakfast

Pool was nice didn’t have time and we were not advised about other facilities (spa).

None of the cooling systems worked correctly

Very pleased with room which was spacious, clean and afforded good views from the balcony's. The bonus of the junior suite meant we had a very large comfortable bed and the double bathroom had an excellent shower which was much appreciated after a full day of exploring the surrounding area. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice to suit all tastes.

We thought the menu's in the bar area and restaurant had a very limited selection which is why we mainly used other eateries which was okay as our rate was bed & breakfast only. Also car parking outside the property was a lottery and charging 15 Euros for an overnight stay in the hotel car park seemed excessive to us.

The breakfast was lovely. The room was clean but a bit old fashioned. The location was great and the parking was easily accessible.

There was a flashing green light from a smoke detector placed directly above the bed, which illuminated the room every 5 seconds, all night. It was very annoying and disrupted the whole family's sleep. I wouldn't stay here again because of it. Besides this, I also think the price was too high for the quality of the hotel.

I stayed one night as I was traveling for work. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and charming. The room was elegant and perfectly clean. It also a bidet and toothbrush and toothpaste was provided, very useful since I had forgotten mine. The food in the restaurant is exceptional. There is a garage to park the car, although it is not included in the room price.

The room was very warm, I had to turn off the radiators, open the window and turn the A/C on to make it liveable. It would have been nice if slippers were provided.

Very nice confortable hotel. Large rooms, nice big bathrooms. Close to town and resaurants. Breakfast is excellent and very varied.

    - Nearby city center, walking distance.- Nice and quiet rooms.

    9AlexanderPosted on: 1-4-2025

The hotel building is amazing. It gives the feeling of living in a medieval castle. The amazing and affordable restaurant with a la carte offering the most traditional baskian cuisine.

All good, but the room’s wallpapers were a little worn out.

A comfortable hotel with a nice swimming pool and terrace with its own car garage which is very convenient. A good breakfast with a wide range of foods. Hotel location is good to explore the Basque region and visit Guernica

A booklet in the hotel recommended various restaurants in Durango for a meal out.We visited a couple of these restaurants and we were under impressed to say the least. As s suggestion maybe the Hotel Management would draw up their own list of recommended restaurants. We wanted to experience the Old Town but we could not find a nice restaurant that was open on that mid week night.

The room was very very quiet and cosy. They are fine, just big enough. The staff is very friendly and helpful!

There are not enough sockets in the room. The bathroom is quite small. The breakfast is good but very expensive for what you get.

    10PatrickPosted on: 10-26-2024

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic town. Near all the restaurants and bars. The restaurant is very good.

    9CarolynPosted on: 9-27-2024

Super hotel, lovely garden, room was clean and the bed comfortable. Staff friendly and secure parking for our motorbike.

14 euros a night to park a motorbike, same price as a large car.

    8AnilPosted on: 9-4-2024

Staff were very friendly and the location was great.

    Nothing much, parking could improve.

    7PaulPosted on: 9-3-2024

Good location, lovely breakfast, good parking and excellent staff, especially the two gentlemen who served us our evening meals.

Room overlooked by other facing rooms so unable to raise blinds (first floor room).

    8BenjaminPosted on: 8-27-2024

    Location, pool, parking, and restaurant.

Window curtains don’t shut (lots of light even at night), and it was noisy with windows open.

    9SidPosted on: 8-17-2024

Nice room and bathroom. The staff at the desk were very friendly. Nice pool area. Good Location for exploring the town, which is fabulous. Lovely shops

Small pool. No real coffee for breakfast! Terrible bar area inside

    7PhillippaPosted on: 8-14-2024

room clean but only set up for one person. upon being told they soon added towels toiletries and coffee pods. food was nice. we didn't have breakfast.

on site parking was full, not many places and we had to park 500 yards away on the road, although this turned out to be half the price of parking on site (7 euros instead of 14). The picture looked like it was in the country, but it is on the edge of a residential town.
