    Cons -

    • Not that it much mattered but they threw some jazzy related art and items in the theme that really took from the old character.
    • Nothing, the building is authentic and the owners are very welcoming
    • The roadside room we had was noisy due to traffic, if a window was opened. Closing the window kept out the noise but quickly made the atmosphere quite stuffy. Next time we'll make sure to book a room to the seaside.

An old building showing it's age but also remembrance of the splendor of bygone eras. The staff did their best to fulfill our wishes by even making us a vegetarian dinner when we asked for it, although the menu didn't cater for it.

The roadside room we had was noisy due to traffic, if a window was opened. Closing the window kept out the noise but quickly made the atmosphere quite stuffy. Next time we'll make sure to book a room to the seaside.

    Staff was nice

No air conditioning. Noisy street at night.

Centrally located near a few things to see.

The toilet and toilet seat were very dirty, we cleaned it ourselves! There was no shampoo available, only shower gel. And it was very very noisy, the hotel is located at a central square with a couple of bars, the noise was so loud we had to close the windows and still we could hear it. But then it got very hot in the room, no aircon, no fan. And opening windows was no option because of the noise. But also overall the hotel was very noisy, we could hear literally everything coming from other rooms, footsteps, toilets flushing, tv, showers …. And then the elevator, that made such a terrible sound. We didn’t sleep a lot. Oh yes, answering a question during the booking process in booking.com seemed also too much asked … Never again.

It's very cute and quirky when you walk in. Centrally located.

Guests in room above were exceptionally noisy and nothing was done about it. They were playing loud music and shouting at gone 11pm. At 2.30-3am they had a very very loud conversation. I didn't get much sleep, which is kinda the point of a hotel. Staff didn't seem to care. More attention needed to cleaning around floor.

As soon as you enter the scent is beautiful and the vintage interiors are stunning. This place has been thoughtfully curated with a mix of vintage furniture and art. Walls are wallpapered throughout and the staircase leading to each floor is wide and original. If you love a boutique eclectic style accommodation then this place is for you.

Nice host, very helpful! Good old fashioned hotel in the middle of the center. Perfect place to spent a night on our way to Portugal.

    I didn stay

I had to change the booking but the hotel didn't reply. As a result I was charged for no show

nothing! we were basically staying in someone's house as they were watching TVthe rooms were clean though

nearly everything. The hotel was a long way from any parking, in a road which was blocked off.It was literally someone's house with the family watching TV and milling around. The town was very rundown with political slogans painted on the walls. So we paid our bill and moved on after a couple of hours.

Interesting old building. Well situated for tapas and bars in evening. Patrons very helpful

Parking a bit tricky as hotel in pedestrian area but Patron very helpful in taking us to their car park. Breakfast rather basic

The hosts were very friendly, allowing us to check in quite late. They even helped us with printing some documents we needed for the continuation of our trip. The rooms are quite big, and the beds are really comfy. The bathroom is spacious and was clean. The accommodation is in a great building, with large ceiling and wooden floors. We simply loved it.

The only thing I can mentioned is that is was a bit difficult to find the accommodation. While it was not easy to communicate with the host, who did not speak English, Google Translate worked fine :)

Decor - very quirky. Rooms all different. Nice breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Early checkin. Safe cycle storage. 2 doors away from very good restaurant - Sirimiri - excellent lunchtime meal.Bergara - lots of old buildings, fascinating museum about Wolframite and Enlightenment movement in Bergara (lots of hands-on features), not at all boring !

Room overlooking main square was noisy from people enjoying food and drink at the bars. Other rooms were quieter.

Lovely, quirky old building in heart of old Bergara. Just a few steps to a square with lovely places to eat and drink. Friendly staff - made me feel very welcome. Comfortable bed ??

It’s a really beautiful old hotel with cozy rooms and lots of old details, paintings, cupboards and other cool stuff. The owners were so nice to us. We didn’t speak any Spanish but they were very patient and friendly.

The beds were maybe not that great and you hear some sounds of the other guests but it didn’t really bother us that much.

    5SallyPosted on: 8-7-2023

The location, although you couldn’t park near the hotel.

Being an old building the floors creaked and we didn’t get a good nights sleep due to other people moving about.

Staff was pleasant, good location in the city center and good price. Beds were comfortable and rooms tidy

No parking on the street, laundry was not on premises, no breakfast available and difficult to find breakfast on Sunday morning in the surrounding area. Hotel employee came in in the middle of the night to fix something in the toilet

    Bedroom curtains were dirty

Helpful staff.Breakfast was simple but okay.Lots of bars & restaurants on its doorstep.I had food in the Italian restaurant below the hotel, the food was good and well priced. It is a very old and quirky building, the wood floor boards are ancient and huge,my room ran in a slope the door was cut at an angle to allow for the slope.Very quaint.

No coffee making in room,no air con.You can't drive up to this hotel ,a staff member had to come out to show me how to get to their garage you pay parking separately. It's off the beaten track and I was heading south,so when you drive back onto the motorway you have to drive north so around 30 mins wasted at start of drive in the morning.
