Pros +
- Everything was perfect about it: location, views, staff
- The hotel is located at the heart of the medieval town, looking onto the marina. We were welcomed by friendly staff that had our key ready to go the minute we arrived. The rooms were spacious, nicely furnished overlooking the marina on the 2nd floor with a little balcony. The beds we large and comfortable with power outlets near the head of the bed on both sides. We didn't try the bar (closed) nor the restaurant.
- Proximity to village and the water. Food was lovely.
Cons -
- There was an overall run-down feeling. Little details like 2 lights out of 3 were broken in our bathroom, or the door didn't close on its own, no stairs (you had to take the lift each time), missing buttons in the lift, etc. Avoid room 207 as it is located on the end of the hotel overlooking the Pirate restaurant that is very noisy early in the morning (6:30am). Avoid the breakfast. It's way too expensive for what is offered (small buffet, little choice, not much fresh, coffee from a machine). Two of our rooms had an awkard shower in a bath tub, no curtain, and a very short pipe, with nowhere to fix it to. The third room had a walk in shaower. Asthmatic hair dryer (like in many hotels).
- We had a lake view from our room but couldn't see the lake due to the height of the trees. It would be lovely if the trees were trimmed so we could enjoy the view more.Breakfast service was poor on our first morning as the restaurant was closed that evening so we assume the staff had the day off. Nothing was being refilled, such as orange juice etc. The next morning was fully staffed and the breakfast was good. Some cooked options would have been nice such as pancakes, or egg and bacon for instance.
- The overall decor of the hotel is dated as was the room we stayed in, and some of the light fittings were not working. The room layout is not very practical and the over bath shower is impractical and difficult to operate and use safely.

Very good location. We booked a room with balcony and a lake view. The room we were given had a huge tree right outside so you couldn’t see anything. We asked to move and were given a better room on a higher floor, which had a lovely view.
The location by the lake front.
The overall decor of the hotel is dated as was the room we stayed in, and some of the light fittings were not working. The room layout is not very practical and the over bath shower is impractical and difficult to operate and use safely.
The location is its main assetThe room was a bit dated but clean and comfy
It was expensive and the check in staff not friendly or welcomingThe bathroom had only a bath with shower head but no bath screen The reception area was difficult to find - you have to walk through the restaurant, in and out. Could be so much more.
Okay, but by far not worth 150 EUR!
Ants in the room. Lake view was fully blocked by a tree, they should call it "tree view". (The room I had booked was "lake view" not "lake side".)
Location superb. Food good.
Did not find out until arrival that car access only during certain hours
Very comfortable room in a prime location overlooking the lake. Large breakfast selection.
Unfortunately I did not find the staff very welcoming. We hoped to get a glass of wine once we had checked in and were given a cocktail menu. A few minutes later I asked about a wine menu and was given another cocktail menu and then a few minutes later told the bar was closed. This was disappointing given the location and as a guest it would have been nice to enjoy, instead it encourages guests to go to the restaurant next door which were happy to serve some mid afternoon drinks!
The location by the lake is gorgeous. located right on the water in this gorgeous médiéval Town, The room are very spacious
The access to the hotel by car is impossible, the room has a lake view through a very small window, the Bathroom equipment were not in good condition
Lovely hotel, although a bit tired in places and let down by the parking situation.
The parking was a nightmare. The hotel has a parking garage around 10 mins walk up the hill from the hotel charged at €10 per night. The entry keypad is faulty which clearly the staff are well aware of. Three times we were stuck outside the garage (for around 20 minutes) with the staff unwilling to come and assist, simply suggesting we used a different finger or pressed harder on the keypad to get the door to open. When staff did eventually come to help, despite protestations that humidity affected the keypad, they were also unable to get the garage to open and had to use the separate door and internal mechanism. Several (international cost) calls to reception were dealt with with contempt (one hang up), a general poor attitude and we came away wishing we had made a different hotel choice.
Lake view from my room, very spacious and quiet. Plenty of things to do and friendly staff. Clean room. Dressing gown and slippers provided.
Carpets looked tired in reception. I felt sad at the huge waste of water in the enormous bath. There was no way to have a shower. In the old village of Yvoire the water pumps are all turned off to conserve water so it seemed like a crime to let all the water in the bath go to waste. Please replace the bathtub with a shower. The heavy bathrobe could maybe just supplied in winter.
The setting and the staff. They changed room for us to be helpful because of my walking problems.
The location of the hotel car park. There was no information on the website about how to access the hotel by car if you are disabled. So I had to try and walk which was very stressful.
The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of Lac Leman. Staff was very friendly and our facilities were very clean.
The hotel restaurant was not open once during our stay. We struggled to find something to eat every night as the town of Yvoire is really just a tourist trap with disappointing yet overpriced “fine dining”. Everything in town closes at 10 and we couldn’t even have a glass of wine at our hotel during our stay. We were charged €40 for two little cups of yogurt, an espresso and a croissant for breakfast. Our mistake as we thought breakfast was included.
The location and room were excellent... absolute waterfront, with balcony.
There were ants in the bathroom. The food at the restaurant was disappointing.
location/ scenery
type of European breakfast that not much value to pay but convenience
Fantastic location, the staff was friendly and very helpful, nice view on the lake. The room was large and comfortable
Minor things. The in-tub shower holding hook was at 1mt high. Maybe for dwarfs...Breakfast could have been better
Amazing location.Amazing view.Nice staff.Huge room with balcony.
amazing location and view
not many options for breakfast, restaurant was closed
Location was great, right next to Lake Geneva. Staff was wonderful.
Super expensive. But we were there on a summer Saturday.
