    Pros +

    • Loved the location, the food and mineral spa. All on site. Plus hiking and train right out the door.
    • The spa and thermal bath is amazing! The view is great, quiet and comfortable. Is it supper nice for a weekend or a long weekend. The hot water in the room is a bit weak, the sink is a bit slow. Will be perfect if they can be improved.
    • Location close to ferry terminal.

    Cons -

    • There was no AC in the room, and the neighbors was speaking so loud outside, I couldn't sleep. Breakfast can be improved.
    • Weather. We were unlucky to have foggy weather during our stay. So, picturesque views weren’t seen ?
    • Basic but nice. Staff - nice but never returned my calls for a forgotten item.

The spa was incredible as well as the Rigi activities (hiking, skiing). The quality of the food at the restaurant was also great.

They explained well how to get to the hotel when coming from other places like Lucerne. The hotel has a beautiful view, especially from the Mineralbad hot springs. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. We ate dinner at the hotel in the bar area and really enjoyed all of the food. Our server was engaging and friendly. The front desk workers were very pleasant and helpful. We had to leave the mountain very early to catch the ferry back to Lucerne. They helped me figure out the time we had to leave the hotel in order to make it to our destination in time for our pre-planned event.

It is super close to the Zahnradbahn. The direct access to the spa is amazing. It is also the exit for the sled way. The Zahnradbahn comes every 30 minutes only though, so this is not great if you are sledding as you have to wait long. It will be great if the train goes every 15 minutes on high season. One can also walk up with the sled but that is tedious for kids.

They don‘t provide slippers, for a spa hotel, this is important. This should be available in the room and just charged to the room with a message informing the visitors of the surcharge instead of just being purchasable in the reception. One has to go down from the room to buy it from reception and with kids they don’t have the sizes available, they only have S or L for adults size. The hotel should inform the guests about bringing the slippers especially for kids through the booking confirmation email in advanced or at least it should be highlighted on the description before booking. Alternatively, the hotel can also provide washable slippers and wash it for reuse by next visitors instead of not giving it at all to visitors for waste/ environment reasons.

Great location OK Spa, can be crowded, there's an outside part but in the end the view is not that great

Greedy pricing, 4 CHF for tap water, 8.5 CHF for carbonated tap waterTo pay an electricity fee on top of your stay is ridiculous There are better options in the area (Grindelwald area, Frutt area for example)

Had a great stay - escaped the Zurich fog for a great day of hiking, lovely spa and yummy dinner! Friendly and helpful staff.

I've stayed in this hotel several times and I will surely come back. Excellent experience as always, friendly staff and great location. This time I brought my dog with me and he was also very comfortable. Certainly recommended.

Our one-night stay was truly unforgettable. The spa was outstanding. The food was exceptional, with every dish exceeding our expectations, and the breathtaking view from our room added a magical touch to the experience. I would love to return in the future and stay longer, the Rigi and the hotel were incredible!

The room’s furniture wasn’t completely renovated, but the facilities were excellent, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. While the stay was on the pricier side, it was absolutely worth it for the location, food, breakfast, and spa. Overall, an amazing experience!

Rigi is a wonderful location for anyone, local or from abroad, to visit. The hotel is easily accessible via rail. The building structure is a beautiful mid to late 1960’s, which we love!

Devil is in the detail. It is a shame the potential that the hotels 1960’s structure is not met within the interior design…almost there, but falls at second to last hurdle. Small changes in choice would elevate, but expert advice needed! Also disappointed in restaurant à la cart dining experience: edible, yet lackluster in quality and enthusiasm.

The site and the sight from the rooms are clearly the best asset of the hotel, as is the early access to the spa/wellness ! Nevertheless, the main other qualities would be : the quality of the food (breakfast and dinner buffets are great but the best is clearly the menu "à la carte"), and staff from the restaurant super friendly. The beds are large and very comfortable, the rooms are well-sized and the the whole hotel is always super clean.

The staff could be a little bit more fluent in English or French,Room equipment is "essential" for the price category (...but still the view is exceptional!),There is only one elevator, fortunately the stairs are wide and welcoming,Soundproofing of the rooms could need an improvement,No thermostat in the rooms, even with the radiator shut down the room was too hot, we finally slept with an open window.

Location, view and spa is the just perfect! Breakfast is good and fresh.

There’s a door inside the room and we hear everything from the neighbor….couldn’t sleep in the evening because neighbor too noisy!

    8PetterPosted on: 10-16-2024

Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly and my daughter (17) being vegan got a delicious specially prepared breakfast including freshly cut avocado and other tasty ingredients that she appreciated a lot. Spa area was beautiful with very nice and relaxing feeling.

All very good. The only thing I would change would be the "cover curtains" between the inside of the pool area and outside which is in plastic and not up there in the same class as everything else. Would be easily and not cost a lot to replace with something in aluminium (e.g. similar or same to what they have in Vals Spa).

Spa access on both days. Spa opens early for guests before check-out. They also have late check-outs, and the staff are very helpful. Relaxing time with my dog during my stay

It's not a big deal, but there are no emergency medications and nowhere around to get them. It's a good idea to bring emergency medication just in case.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had informed them that I will be traveling with my dog and they had even arranged a dog bed, towel, and bowls in the room in advance. The ambience of the hotel was also very peaceful and I had access to the wellness facilities. My dog and I really enjoyed our nature escape and were able to recharge our batteries at the hotel!
