Hotel Schloss Wissen

Wonderful hotel, cute little cottages with lovely configured rooms. My Room was on the smaller side, but was really nicely configured. It was clean, windows have insect nets installed. The Staff was really friendly. The location is something else, with the Schloss and the nature all around!

The Shower drain was clogged, and the morning shower was a bit of a hassle to not flood the bathroom. Wifi in the room "Gottlieb" was non existent, but Telekom 5g worked! The Parking is a ways off, so heavy luggage in the rain might be a chore.

The room which was rather an apartment was spacious and has a nice view. Very comfortable bed. Very beautiful surrounding and the Schloss . Unfortunately you cannot enter and explore it inside. I thought it is a museum but not.Very peaceful area.

I came over for breakfast to check it out before I book it if it’s worth having it there. To be honest for the price it was not worth it for me.

Absolutely stunning all you need all very clean and pretty. Our dog was happy with the surrounding and everything was perfect hope we come back due to excellent facilities and friendly staff

We had large luggage and it was almost impossible to carry them up as staircase very narrow.

The property is lovely! It’s like going back in time to a manor, out in the country side. I love the quiet, private space, with open grounds. Perfect to go with dogs if you have any.

Maybe having a mini fridge is something to think about because we went on New Year’s Eve and we just wanted to get snacks and drinks to store for the evening and next morning but we didn’t have anywhere to keep it cool.

We had an apartment. The apartment was large. The bathroom was well equiped. The furniture supplied was nice and ample. Parking was close to room

The office is manned for a couple of hours per day. Nobody to handle problems if and when they occure. The kitchen had inadequate utencils and also no microwave. The bedroom was on second floor meaning we needed to haul our suitcases on our own up to second floor. this was not described durig booking. The heating made a high pitch noise and there was no hotel agent to help. A mechanical noise came on and off from a facility next door during the night. The beutiful casle is inaccessible to the guests, despite its use in the name and pictures of the hotel. When we arrived the reception office was locked and no one answered the phone. REception houts are a couple of hours only not mentioned at booking time.

Setting and room were beautiful .

Staff member was unhelpful. Restaurant was unexpectedly closed and we were hungry and on foot. No advice or help given. Suggestion for taxi unforthcoming particularly when we asked about transport to Weese for airport bus. Pre arrival link to Web app didn't work on my phone. We had a lot of walking to do!

Stunning castle in beautiful surroundings. We had a small spacious guesthouse. Amazing beds!

Beautiful setting, exceptional room, pleasant fresh breakfast.

There was an unfortunate incident as we were packing to leave - we were suddenly and aggressively told off by a (residential) member of staff for parking in the wrong place, which was very embarrassing and upsetting. His tone was dreadful, but as there was no signage and I was parked next to another vehicle, it was also inexplicable.I emailed and messaged afterwards at least three times to inform them of this (so they can improve signage and staff behaviour) but three weeks later I have had NO response. I didn't want to say anything negative as it was such a perfect experience up to that point. Please reply to me! However, I would not now go back, which is so very sad.

The setting was magical.

Hardly any staff to be seen, not very welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely no value for money, hardly anything available and expensive at €18.50 per person.Extremely noisy neighbours. No baby facilities.

Lovely location and room. We were surprised because room was much nicer than the pictures portrayed. Would definitely come back and stay next time we use the airport.

Everything was lovely. The location might be an issue for some people. We walked from town and it took us 25 minutes. If you had lots of luggage you would need a taxi.

Everything was beautiful : the surrounding, the room , the service and the breakfast.

Very picturesque place in a lovely countryside. Peaceful and surrounded by nature. It's a shame we could stay only a very short amount of time. We highly recommend it, and we hope to be back to enjoy a longer stay

Nice hotel in beautiful area. We stayed only one night in apartment with kitchen. Good bed, big space, big bathroom. Personal very servicial.

Kitchen area with too basic equipment, without kitchen smoke extraction. The illumination is very low and isn’t sufficient for cooking and dining area.

Everything!! Parking, location, big space, price was correct...Check in and out very very fast and simple!Fantastic frendly and good organized staff!We are going to be very happy to come here again!!

The location is in the quiet country where we enjoyed a good night's sleep. We enjoyed our quarters, they are very large, the only negative being that we had to lug all of our luggage upstairs. But one must REMEMBER castles and their quarters did not have elevators LOL so this was not a problem! The grounds are beautiful, the breakfast quite good and I highly recommend that one stay here.
