Schloss Hertefeld & Hertefeldhof

Everything

The staff was extremely helpful. Lovely countryside location and close to the airport. Spacious clean room. Nice shower with good pressure.

Large square pillows. This is a very continental European thing, so not just specific to this property. I just can't get used to them.

Great location, fabulous property, comfortable room, friendly staff.

Missing a kitchenette, or at a minimum, plates, and cutlery.

Beautiful garden, friendly staff, comfy beds. Our breakfast was delicious and they have a vast variety of food. We went for dinner in town and that was also outstanding service. We love the zoo and the hike in the forest.

Everything was fine

We stayed in a comfortable room situated in a park with nice clean rooms and friendly staff.Interesting concept: Towels are provided in a central cupboard outside the rooms so there is no waste cleaning the whole stack of small and large towels mist hotels provide in their bathrooms. We had breakfast in the castle which was very good in a special 'cave like' setting.

Two minor things but important to know up front: Airport Weeze had early plane starts from 6am on Saturday, and on Sunday morning the church bell's rang a bit too enthusiastically to our taste.

No fridge vor and was No breakfast and no fridge dear ! En the bed was clear but NOT go in or get out for partner, go to the toilet, forma circus.

Bed wasent not good voor 79 jear klient

Clean,tidy.

Pillows were old and not comfortable.

Quiet and clean room. Amazing host and the castle surrounding. Had trouble with getting a ret a car and the lady host helped me a lot. Thank you.

Quaint wee town and nice and quite hotel. Everything you needed around you. Only stayed for 1 night before airport, wished we stayed a little longer. Mix up the taxi arrival time but the manager stepped up and took us to the airport

Friendliness and uniqueness of building. Very well kept and beautiful surroundings.

The breakfast is absolutely amazing and is a must try. The staff is very friendly. It is be very comfortable to stay as a family with kids as kids would have own room.

Can’t mention anything

Super nice staff, great nature (garden), castle

We stayed in a renewed corner-room with a view on the park in a building close to the road, with closed windows - very quiet. Lots of options to sit in different spaces on the ground floor, which makes this a good place for big groups. The room had a funky theme and comfortable, good bed and shower. There is a bridge leading you from the 'estate' straight into town. Garden is lovely.

Overpriced breakfast, served in the hall of the restored castle ruin, but too packed (sharing tables with strangers) and limited choices foodwise. We recommend having breakfast in the tearoom close to the road! Zoo is funny, partly ran down feature in the park. Never got the TV working to check the news, but wifi was perfect!

This hotel has everything going for it. Beautiful setting, the zoo within the grounds, proximity to the small, cute town, and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely would recommend a stay here.

The location is historic in an old castle partly a ruin but partly done up very tasteful. The reception was excellent The hosts very lovely people with a heart for their property. The breakfast was lovely well made and very tasteful definitely a place to recommend when you want a romantic stay over.

I really can't think about anything which was not taken care of.

We had such an amazing stay here! The lady who welcomed us at the reception was very friendly, and when she found out it was our 1-year anniversary she arranged a bottle of bubbles for us. We stayed in the Asian room, which was lovely. Super comfy bed, and luxury bathroom. The location is stunningly beautiful. Highly recommended!

The bedroom was lovely with a huge ensuite which had a shower and a luxurious bath.

The breakfast was sufficient, I enjoyed the fact that there was regional and homemade produce. Personally I am not a big fan of too much on offer for breakfast so found everything adequate and the staff very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing I did not like as the stay exceeded my expectations. We were just staying for the night so basically needed a comfortable bed. The place is charming and very relaxing.

The breakfast was excellent, it was priced well for the area. The fresh breads were heavenly. We were the only people having breakfast on our first morning and they went out of their way to present a lovely table just for 2. Eggs were cooked well. The room was amazing. A mid week stay and we had the Sterne Zimmer. It was worth every penny. Loved loved the double bathtubs. We also liked the little history lesson about the rebuilding of the castle tower.

I really have nothing bad to say. Generally don't like hotel pillows, so I would recommend maybe getting tempur-pedic pillows, then I wouldn't have to travel with mine from home.

Beautiful and quiet surroundings
