The staff were incredibly kind and amazing. Top tier service. The location is close to a bus stop to easily get to Chania. The earliest bus is at 6:00. Our room had a very nice kitchenette, so you can cook your own food. Nice refrigerator as well.

The stuff is super nice!! We felt at home, they gave us so many helpfull advices all with a big smile. They are super kind and warm and we felt that we have been under excellent care

Their knowledge of the area is invaluable, and they delivered it with such enthusiasm that it elevated our entire experience.The hotel itself is a gem—spotlessly clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed with comfortable beds, soundproof rooms, and charming balconies offering views of the vibrant Skalidi Square or a glimpse of the sea. The little touches, like the 24/7 coffee and treat corner stocked with fruits, cookies, and amenities, reflect their commitment to guest comfort. I was particularly impressed by the “bring & share” corner, which had everything from toiletries to beach gear—an unexpected and delightful addition.What truly sets Castell Hotel apart is the team’s genuine care and attention. Niki and Katerina’s warmth and professionalism, along with Yannis’s friendly evening support, created an atmosphere of home-away-from-home. They anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, from arranging transport to providing fresh linens every few days. Loved it all. The staff service was amazing. So kind, so accomodating, so helpful. The station outside the room had food, books, drinks, soap, outdoor activity equipment, etc. It was perfect for anything you needed.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff tried to help with everything. There was a kettle in the room, but coffee, cookies and fruit were available every morning. There were even various cosmetics for guests!

The hotel is in a great location, close to the sea and several good restaurants. But best of all perhaps were the staff, unbelievably helpful and easy going.

They prepare everything you need for lying on the beach for free.Free coffee and cakes on the morningcity center near restaurant backeries and there is a grocery downstairs (even they are much more expensive than the other groceries side of the main road)

Everything was perfect, daily cleaning, staff was extremely friendly and kind and warm, they would greet you with a smile every time and offer advice regarding places to see or go for dinner. In the lobby you will also find the hotel cat, a lovely black cat, waiting for some scratches and supervising everything. Even though we were in October and the nights were a little cold, the room temperature was warm. They have free umbrellas and beach towels for guests to use. They also have free laundry service. I highly recommend this hotel!

The staff are the most friendly people ever, the rooms are large, they offer a wide range of cosmetics and toiletries, in case you need something, free bottled water both in the room and o the hallway, free coffee and cakes, fresh towels every day.

I didn’t like the pillows too much, too hard for my taste, but I like really soft ones.

Outstanding welcome and service. The room was cleaned daily. You get free bottles of water, free laundry, free towels for the beach. Very generous owner. Highly recommend it! The hotel is located right in the main square, 5min walk from the sea. How can you beat that?

Castell Hotel was much better than the 3 star hotels I stayed at in Chania. The owners (and pets!) were delightful and very attentive and helpful - would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic location, close to everything you need. The hotel and room were always exceptionally clean and fresh. Although it can be busy outside the room is nice and quiet. Everyone at the Hotel was so friendly, polite and welcoming. They offered great advice for places to visit.

Loved the location, we could see the beach from the balcony, attached photos from our balcony. There's a mini market/cafeteria right next to it for any necessities, we found this very convenient. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, there are a few right in front of the hotel or just walk 2mins to the shore to find more.We rented a car and always managed to find parking close by easily considering it was peak season.The bed was really comfy and the room was cleaned everyday, they even did our laundry for free! Additionally, coffee/tea was available and they provided us with bottles of water daily. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, they make you feel at home. Thank you for the lovely stay, I 100% recommend Castell Hotel.

A pleasant surprise in the heart of Kissamos. We did not expect the hotel to be in the very center of the city. The hospitality of the hotel managers was among the best I have ever received in my life. Kindness, friendliness and hospitality. Impeccable service. Room always clean and smelling good.
