Cons -
- Restaurant was already fully booked when we arrived at 5pm?
- Bathroom was terrible, ceiling.falling apart.. mildew black every where. We wanted to.leave but it was raining so bad that we could not leave.124.00 E thrown to.waste
- Increasingly nowadays hotels seem to think it’s absolutely fine to advertise that they have a restaurant and then just not open their restaurant. It is not fine, it is dishonest and it is misleading. The presence or absence of a restaurant is a significant factor in my decision where to stay when I am driving long journeys, because I don’t want to have to do another drive into town and find somewhere to eat. Which also means I can’t have a drink with my dinner. You need to make more of an effort to fulfil your promises, instead of just shrugging your shoulders and thinking it’s okay to treat your guests like this.

We always stay here en route back to France from Spain. Perfect location for that. Always friendly, they accept our dog and there is a restaurant if we need it
Another hotel that thinks it’s fine to advertise they have a restaurant and just not open it.

Free car parking.
The fact that the restaurant had been booked for a private engagement. The main reason we booked was to have a restaurant on site after a 150-mile drive; to learn upon arrival that we would have to drive to dinner because the hotel chose not to cater for it's own guests was beyond belief. To add insult to injury, the receptionist suggested we go to eat at McDonald's! To be fair, she did recommend an alternative. In the past we have often put up with the cheap motel-type Campanile accommodation because of the quality of the restaurants, but after this experience, it will be a long time before we book another stay.
It was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
If you arrive late, would be a problem, (train was late from Madrid, irun station under construction) we nearly were stranded outside the hotel, at 11pm pretty poor, and it was raining.
Great staff, good restaurant, good service, rooms nice.
Just thought the rooms a bit small
Car was close to room and quiet
No view, just a row of conifers, carpet was stained and dirty. Room was generally tatty and doors were hard to open and close
staff was helpful.
no facilities after 11pm and definitely not a walk away from the train .had to call for a taxi, to go to the train station and was charged 20 Euros ,for a 7 or 5 minute ride ?
The bed was comfy and the room quiet despite backing onto the car park. The on-site bar and restaurant
The motel style rooms,. It was a bit expensive for the type of accommodation.
Breakfast was good and the facilities were exactly what I expect from a Campanile
The room showed it's age. It was clean but there were several areas of poor repair, holes in the walls badly repaired, door frame touched up badly and in the wrong colour. Just a bit tatty overall and at €140 a night without breakfast was not great value.
Really nice staff members, efficient and kind. The room was clean and well done
The shower was cold AF. Even with only hot water to the max, we could take only 1 short shower mid.
Excellent stay en route to Spain. Very clean and comfortable bed, room and bathroom. The restaurant manageress was extremely welcoming, very efficient and pleasant. The dinner was delicious and good value. Breakfast had a variety of choices. The hotel manager was very pleasant. I would definitely stay again.
No complaints
The room was easy to access and comfortable and clean. Logged into the wifi with no bother. Its close to the motorway and easy to find.
Really disappointed after a beast of a drive from St Malo to be told that the restaurant was fully booked. It clearly states on the default tv advertising video and the hotel's particulars that no booking is required for the restaurant. It appeared that the hotel was hosting an outside event . The result was another unwanted car trip over the border to Spain where we ate in Henrique's - [ highly recommended ]. The moral is that you DO have to book if you want to dine in.
It's in a good location, the rooms are well presented and comfortable. The breakfast is substantial and staff helpful
The booking system, I tried to book on the Campanile website and paid for the room, but didn't get a booking Reference or confirmation. Phoned to confirm booking told there wasn't one. Went through Booking.com no problem
Convenient location, nice to have a kettle in the room.
Unable to take the dog into the restaurant as policy had changed.
Easy parking, comfortable good sized room, overall good stay
Its a good stay, nothing lacking

Location
Very poor restaurant. I ordered the duck fillet off the specials which was the worst meat I've ever eaten so tough. The dauphine potatoes were burnt and barely edible. Being extremely tired after along drive I left the meal and ordered a dessert. My profiteroles arrived and were still frozen solid. I complained and showed the staff and was told this is how profiteroles are served??? To my amazement they then brought me a knife and fork. Disgusting food and service.
