    • the chateau is lovely and the rooms very large and accommodating. the hosts were tremendous and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. will definitely return, this place is a gem!
    • A beautiful castle in a magnificent setting on top of a hill next to a quaint village. The building is very well kept and is furnished with period furniture. We stayed in a lovely room in a tower. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was continental, but very good quality food.
    • I mean it’s simply a wonderful property, amazing location and view.

    Cons -

    • absolutely nothing!
    • The heating system was a bit noisy as it was very old, but I was glad it was in keeping with the age of the place
    • Breakfast was a joke unfortunately, if you say breakfast is until 10 and then stop replenishing at 9:15, it’s not okay. Apart from that: Lovely stay.

It is truly authentic experience! The location is beautiful and full of history. The stuff is great! We had one of the best dinners in this castle during our trip. Hope to come back one day!

The gate that sometimes was impossible to open and we had to call the staff.

    Beautiful chateau, peaceful location.

Total lack of staff on site. Restaurant closed so went hungry. Bathroom very dated. Breakfast poor and member of staff uninterested.

Just a beautiful spot looking over a spectacular countryside

There was a great sense of history there. Even though it was end of season, the peaceful nature of the countryside was really wonderful. We will be back. Our host, Fabien, went above and beyond to make us welcome and give us great local knowledge of what to see. His enthusiasm in explaining the history of the property was great to behold. He filled in as the Chef for the evening and served us a truly memorable meal. We loved our stay

A beautiful castle-like chateau in a lovely little hilltop village.

Room and bathroom where clean and comfortable if not old

Food was terrible and expensive. I really think some of the vegetables came from a can! If you stay there do not eat there whatever you do! Breakfast was also very poor for a Hotel in France.

The chef in the evening, who also handled the check-in due to a shortage of staff, was very friendly and helpful. The dinner was very good, although the waitress could have needed more help from another person. The treatment with our dog was very friendly. Very nice british guests too. The history of the hotel is interesting. We had a very good room. Do not take standard rooms but supreme rooms in the first floor and you will be glad. The dinner menue is 59 Euros at least, reservation needed.

The morning service staff were completely disengaged and did not look after their guests. Boiled eggs were available on request after 20 minutes preparing time. Then we were given 8 cooked eggs on the table in a basket! No egg holders ... We then returned 6 of these eggs to the buffet. There was no honey for breakfast. The rubber seals in the showers urgently need replacing due to dirt and mould. The water basin in the garden was no longer attractive. The standing water should be replaced by moving water and should be changed and cleaned more often. The atmosphere in the hotel was a little strange as there was not enough staff on site.

Wonderful place - a truly unique experience ! We booked the suite which was very comfortable , beautiful room and large bathroom. We had dinner int he castle , excellent service, the lady who took care of us was very polite and knowledgeable regarding wine and food. Beautiful experience as we travel with out dog, not many places like this accept pets, but here the director was very sweet and allowed us to enjoy our stay with our furry friend :) Definitely recommended!!

Such an amazing chateau. The building was steeped with history and was simply beautiful. As you step through the gates you really can appreciate the grandeur of the chateau. The owners were very welcoming and couldn't do more for us. We ate at the restaurant which was more expensive than we're used to but delicious. The room was a bit dated and wasn't quite as spectacular as the rest of the building, but it was one of their more affordable rooms so couldn't complain. We would definitely recommend this chateau.

Room was a bit dated but a great size and had a roll top bath.

a deep appreciation for nature and the historical beauty of castles, perhaps evoking a sense of nostalgia. There’s something truly special about walking through the woods, surrounded by the tranquility of nature, and stumbling upon a majestic castle that has stood the test of time. The combination of nature and history creates a serene and timeless experience, allowing one to connect with the past while enjoying the present. It’s beautiful indeed, a perfect blend of peace, beauty, and a touch of the past.

Beautiful location and the castle was so lovely. It was like traveling back in time. The guy at the check in, Fabian, was lovely ! Showed us around the castle and we could ask him anything. Just beautiful all around. The only thing is that we thought the breakfast was a little too small for what you pay, but what we ate was prepared well.

Everything! Stunning place, ambience, restaurants, exceptional staff !

    Beautiful place and location

The furniture, the bed cover and pillows were very worn off and needed cleaning since a long time. Because they used to be beige in their previous life it was very noticeable. You could hear all the noises from the other rooms, including flashing the toilets and night. Breakfast was very limited. We were there at 9:00 and everything was eaten up already-no cheese, no baget, no any kind of vegetables or fruits, no hot water for tea.

The castle and the garden are even more beautiful than the pictures. The food at the restaurant was amazing! And the room was beautiful with a huge bathtub!

There were a vew spider webs in the bathroom and around the windows.
