Very well located. My room had amazing views of the bay. Very friendly staff.
A very nice hotel with a good restaurant and bar on site. Rooms are great, the staff is excellent and are very used to supporting Camino adventurers.

After a very scary situation during a nine hour height from Castro Urdiales to Laredo it was very comforting to arrive to a smiling face at the front desk. That was Natalie, very polite and sweet. The room was spacious with a very large balcony and good view.
Liked the location and the staff were very good - the receptionist was excellent The room was in need of an upgrade in my opinion
Checking-in was great, bar tender was a little off. Room was spacious, nice view. Breakfast was ok, maybe in-season they have more fresh baked items. Coffee machine made nice espresso drinks.
Reception lady was polite and lovely.

Lovely staff, old school kind of vibe, big windows, nice & hot shower. Didn't try the bar or restaurant but looked lively.
The window of the balcony doesn't lock and as we were on the first floor it made us feel unsafe. I would prefer a locking balcony door and an additional lock to the door to the room (it's only got one key which I assume they have more than one copy of, no chain or anything on the inside).
It’s a very classic old hotel! Clean, comfortable, and spacious, great views too! The staff friendly and helpful! Loved the restaurant as well! It is in a great location, and right off the Camino… pleasant walk to the ferry.
Nice balcony with large sliding glass doors. Comfortable beds, quiet . Lift. The town had a medieval festival (Carlos V) at the time which was partially spoiled by heavy rain.
Quite a distance from the town centre and definitely overpriced compared to other properties.
Lovely hotel with great staff. Dinner was delicious! Grilled veggies, risotto, veal - so good.Kind and helpful staff.
Hotel Cosmopol provided a really good 1st stop on our trip through the region. It is easy to reach from Santander with convenient on street parking.Check in was pleasant, and straightforward and we were very pleased with our room on 2nd floor which had a balcony and panoramic view of the bay and coastline. We enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar before having the set menu dinner in the restaurant. We were very impressed with the choice and quality of the set menu at 28 Euros each for 3 courses and a bottle (not 2 glasses as I had expected !) of a really nice rioja wine.Very good breakfast choice including fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, croissants etc. After exploring the old town the following morning, we went back to the Cosmopol bar for "Bocadillos" and soft drinks....again very good value in our opinion. We would stay here again if we are back in the area. Highly recommend.
Nothing ! All good.
What a view!! Best view in town. Restaurant was also quite good and very affordable
Unfortunately the walls are very thin. Our neighbors watched tv to midnight and I felt like I was watching tv with themThe hotel is a little tired
Location for the Camino. Breakfast good.
Most expensive accomodation on our Camino trek and did not reflect value for money. Tired and old fashioned facilities but yet charging premium prices.
Great location. Clean. Missing wifi and fridge in the room
I loved the style of this hotel. It had a pleasantly nostalgic 80s vibe. The rooms were very clean and updated. The views were spectacular and it was located just 300 meters from the beach. The food was very good in the restaurant. It felt very luxurious for the price. A very nice hotel that I highly recommend.
We appreciate the welcome and service of Elena from reception desk. She has done everything to help us finding what we need.
Good option if you are doing the Canino Del Norte. Close to the old town to do some sight seeing. Food was good and large portions.
