- Amazing location next to Mycenae.
- The hotel has a lovely old world charm. You half expect Agatha Christie to be sitting on the veranda. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The beach they recommended for us near Nafplio was absolutely perfect (Vivari). The view from the room and from the restaurant veranda was beautiful. We wish we had planned to stay longer!
- When I initially arrived, people harvesting olives from the trees on the property. I was immediately greeted by the hostess. Check in was a snap. The room was perfect. The included breakfast was amazing. I was introduced to olive oil that was pressed the day prior.

The hotel is a short drive from ancient Mycenae, has a friendly staff offering recommendations for visiting there, and provides an exceptional breakfast on a wide balcony with a spectacular view of the valley.
The property is unique. The staff and owners are exceptionally kind and gracious. We will forever remember their hospitality and enthusiasm for their guests. We felt seen and cared for. To understand, it is an older property, very well cared for but these are simple rooms. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The lighting could be improved with warmer lightbulbs (or light shades) which could go a long way. But any small imperfection is more than made up for in the warmth of the owner (and staff). She is fabulous! Thank you so much for welcoming us to your “home”.
Harsh lighting in room.
Staying at this charming old house in Greece felt like stepping straight into a movie scene. From the moment we arrived, our gracious host welcomed us as if we were old friends returning home. The atmosphere was warm and authentic, every corner of the property told a story. Our room opened up to a view that could have been plucked from a vineyard in the hills of Italy — rolling fields, olive trees, and the soft golden light that makes Greece so unforgettable. Sitting outside on the terrace it was easy to imagine the ancient world still lingering just beyond the horizon. It is only a minutes drive to the Archaeological Site of Mycenae, one of Greece’s most storied landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
We stayed here one night due to the close location to the Mycenean Archaeological site. It is basic lodging but friendly and informative staff.
Facilities are dated and in need of upgrade and modernization.
We booked 2 nights and stayed 4. This about says it all. It is an exceptionally well situated hotel. The owners welcome.you like members of the family. The breakfast is superb and the evening meal absolutely Greek cooking at its best.

This was truly the best hotel experience of our lives. We were treated like family — surrounded by love, care, joy, and a wonderful sense of humor. The whole place feels like your beloved grandmother’s summer house: full of warmth, familiar smells, and that cozy, slightly old-fashioned atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home.We especially loved the swimming pool, the kind-hearted owners, and the charming vintage style of the hotel. It may not be modern, but it’s endlessly cozy and full of soul. Our 9-year-old daughter loved it just as much — she keeps asking when we can go back!
lovely hotel next door to Mycenes archeologic site and the owners are absolutely charmingdon t miss the breakfast with the specials handmade local jam loved it
The host kept the restaurant open for us despite our late arrival. Great selection of options for breakfast.
This place was a timeless classic and we loved the family running it. The homemade breakfast on the veranda was so cute. And the pool was a perfect oasis in an otherwise hot desert.
The rooms were a bit dated and the mattresses could do with an upgrade.
We absolutely loved our stay. All of the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The setting was incredible and we were able to have many wonderful adventures within a 30-45 min drive. The pool was especially wonderful given the extreme heat warning during the time of our visit. The food was all delicious and they were very thoughtful in making the menu gluten-free. Definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking to see the archeological sites and enjoy the beaches nearby!
This is the second time I have stayed at this property and both times were a delight. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful particularly with recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the area besides the obvious tourist attractions. Rooms are good sized and comfortable and there is a delicious restaurant on site that is better than any other place to eat in the village of Mykines. Plenty of on-site parking and an amazing view from the terrace where if the weather is good you can eat outside both breakfast and dinner to enjoy the view. It is very close to the archaeological site of Mycenae and also can be an excellent base for exploring other sites in the area.Highly recommended.
Only that we did not get to stay longer! I travel to the Peloponnese frequently and this is my go-to place if I need somewhere to stop along the way. Something worth knowing, which is not at all the fault of the hotel, is that although it is fairly close to the archaeological site of Mycenae it is not advisable to walk because the road is busy with traffic and there are no sidewalks. Although it is not too far, if the weather is very hot it is not a good idea to walk. You will need to drive to the site from the hotel.
Great location near the Mycenean architectural sites. Lovely terrace with bar service and view across to the amazing Lárissa fortress near Argos. Very friendly and efficient service. Excellent full Greek breakfast for only 7€ and an excellent 4-course dinner.
Absolutely loved our stay at la petite planète. It was perfect in every sense. Easy parking, big room, amazing view on the mountain (thanks to a nice upgrade from the host), French speaking host, perfect service, super quiet (the best night I had during my trip), an amazing view on the terrace in the mountains. And the most gorgeous breakfast of our stay with all homemade food, a large choice of savory and sweet food, fresh veggies, and fruits from the garden, home made pastries… a real fest! It’s so much better than a 5* hotel ?
This place is magical and the staff are too. We had a very pleasant stay. We felt very welcomed and it was like being in a friend's house. The room was very clean and comfortable and the dinner was fantastic. We would love to go back again. Thank you Vasiliki and Gregorius.
Close to attractions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious.
Worlds greatest hosts. Would come back for that reason alone, along with their two dogs. Wonderful breakfast buffet and 3-course dinner. Nothing but wonderful
great hostess - Vasiliki was hospitable, full of knowledge and good advice.Dinner and Breakfast were superb.
