Rachel Hotel

Friendly welcome from the get go and allowed me to check in early. Centrally located right near the marina for easy access if you want to take the ferry elsewhere or the bus to the main city. Walking distance to the beach where picturesque views greet you. Choose this hotel and you won’t be disappointed.

The owner is so nice and welcoming, and the location is perfect for access to the beach and lots of restaurants, away from the crowds. The bed was comfortable and overall the room was great value for the price.

Perfect location, right by the beach and restaurants and stores were close by as well. (In fact, the host runs a great store attached to the hotel). A really nice area in a picturesque little village where we could walk everywhere.

The rooms were pretty small but had everything needed, even small refrigerators which was nice, and who's going to stay in the room anyway? Only to sleep and shower. :)

We sailed to this town and grabbed this hotel for 2 nights. Perfect location. Amazing owners. Great price. Clean and pleasant stay.

Great location, cozy rooms, close to the beach

The owner has very friendly and kind with us! He assist us with everything even if we went only for one night.. the location was good, walkable distance to the beach! The breakfast was traditional and fresh! Definitely highly recommended

The only issue was the mattress of the beds! Need to be renew it!

So charming and so hospitable were the hosts! They also have the nicest store attached! They are really wonderful hosts and what a tremendous stay. And I known how much I was going to love it I would’ve booked more nights before going elsewhere. A real fine.

It didn’t bother me that the hotel rooms were a little bit dated because they were super clean and so cute and kept up nicely— for a solo traveller couldn’t be better

Steps from the beautiful beach. I liked the large balcony, handy for drying clothes and relaxing. We had a view of the sea also. The owner did everything to accommodate our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids). We had rooms one next to the other. Accommodation was very basic but very clean. I read previous reviews and I feel like they were too exaggerated. I didn’t think bathroom was super tiny, it was small but no problem. Shower was also old but worked great, no problem for us. AC worked great and had many settings. There was a small fridge and cups/glasses. The balcony had enough chairs. If I were to do this again I would not go with their breakfast option as there is amazing bakery few steps away where you can get very good morning pastries (spinach, cheese, pistachios, sweet, sour etc), there is also a breakfast place right there if you want a normal good breakfast. The motel’s breakfast didn’t have much choices, coffee did not taste good, I was not able to drink it :(. They did offer some cereals and eggs, and some bread and cheese. The best option would be just to book the room without breakfast and enjoy local places up the street.

Our family was ok with everything Hotel Rachel offered. We would be ok booking this place again in the future. I was concerned after reading bad reviews but for us it worked out great!

The location of the property is great , up the street a 2 min. Walk there is a market , right across from that there is a bakery (bread, spinach and cheese pies are amongst so many wonderful foods , coffee places and Tavernas are everywhere and the best part , the spectacular beach is a 2 or less minute walk . My room was clean and the sheets smelled so fresh !! Loved everything about my stay . The owner Yiannis was also very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay there again!

Horrible place in 2025. It was a very dirty ,outdated and very noisy place. The room is the size of a cufin . Not recommended at all.

I was presented with more comfortable room than originally booked.The owner is very friendly and helpful - he was genuinely interested in my wellbeing.Thanks to Giannis' recommendation I ate great food right at the sea shore ?

We had access to a nice balcony and it was a 3 minute walk to a beautiful beach. The customer service was great. I felt very safe during the entire stay.

The room did not feel very clean. The walls were also so thin we could hear anything outside of our room. There was a very loud dog that kept barking nearby. The beds were very creaky and not super comfortable. The shower was very small, it was impossible to not touch the curtain. The sink looked like it was about to fall off the wall.

The location of the hotel is very nice. It is so close to the sea. The owner of the hotel (Giannis) is extra helpful and nice.

The manager was so helpful, and supportive, I was travelling with my 12 year old daughter and he was very understanding. I lost my room key and he provided a spare at no cost. I would recommend this accomodation. Beautiful spot!

The location was really amazing and as many others have written, the owner Giannis is a remarkable man doing everything to make his visitors happy. There was a kettle in the room as promised but on request Giannis also provided cups etc - our comfort was always his priority and clearly guests really enjoyed him. The cleaner was always friendly and worked fast and efficiently when we were in the room. Within a 100 m there was an endless variety of super friendly restaurants and the beach cafes were also a great option. We have always loved Aegina and now Agia Marina is our favorite resort on the island. September going into October is a perfect time.

The bathrooms are tiny but one can learn to cope and as the water supply is excellent the tiny shower is still pleasant.

The location is fantastic, the rooms are clean and comfy, and the staff is great! Have stayed here every time I've visited the island and I'll be back!

The room matches the pictures perfectly and it's very close to the beach. The host was helpful and friendly, explaining everything to us and giving us his number in case we need it. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We spent a few hours at the hotel before taking the speed boat back to Athens. It was perfect for our small children to take a nap and refresh. The beach was very close, some nice tavernas and shops around and the owner offered a discount for shopping at his store.

Very nice property, Giannis very helpful. rooms small but clean. 300 yards to the beach was a bonus! friendly area everyone helpful, good restaurants around and plenty to see.

The location of the hotel is close to an amazing beach. In a shopping center that has everything. The hotel owners are kind, helpful, and do everything to make you feel comfortable.

improve the internet in the rooms.
