    • All fantastic
    • Everything about this place is perfect. Beautiful sea that was pleasant to swim and snorkel in, nice pool, wonderful home cooked breakfast. The proprietor was very welcoming and helpful, making dinner and taxi reservations for us. It is a small, secluded slice of paradise.
    • Irides Beach Hotel is a beautiful, family-owned gem by the sea. The location is simply perfect — right next to the water, where you can fall asleep to the soothing sound of the waves and wake up to breathtaking sea views. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel even better than at home. The swimming pool overlooking the sea is a true delight, and there are lovely walking paths right along the shoreline. The food and drinks are excellent, and the breakfast is fresh and satisfying. Whether you’re staying on the island or visiting Athens, I highly recommend spending your time here — it’s a peaceful, charming, and unforgettable place to relax and enjoy Greek hospitality at its best.

This experience at Irides allowed my mind to completely let go of all its worries, even for a little while. The location is peaceful, and the sound of the sea waves did wonders to ease the stress. The staff was kind, genuine, authentic and felt like I was staying with family. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you to Spyros, and to his wonderful parents, Dimitra and Andreas, true gems!!

I didn’t like that I had to leave.

The property is great - once you drive through the gates you feel like you’re in a small little village. Very clean, amazing views, close by the beach and by a nice little restaurant. Most importantly it is ran by the friendly Spiros. I can’t recommend this stay highly enough.

Amazing beach hotel family run.Wonderful view from the room.Comfortable bed.

It was very windy when we were there (nothing the hotel could help!) .You need a car really to explore and we had one.

    9RichardPosted on: 10-29-2024

Irides was in such a beautiful place with beautiful views even whilst eating breakfast! And it was maintained beautifully as well. It is situated right by the sea. The family that run it are so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend.

It’s really worth hiring a car to reach a sandy beach and find places to eat and to explore the island.

The breakfast was adequate with daily slightly different varieties. Right from the moment we checked in Spiros made us feel comfortable and welcome. The entire Petritis family were very friendly and informative about the area and their hotel. The friendly attitude is also down to their cute 9 month old daughter who was a delight. I would recommend that you forget about the hyped up islands and come and relax here and appreciate the tranquility of nature.

Just a small bar soap to wash hands.

Beautiful location on the sea (bring shoes for swimming) , lovely rooms and landscaping . Family run very friendly and welcoming. Small and intimate . Supermarket 5 min walk . Taverna 5 mins

Just the location as it was near my sister's apartment and Souvala fishing port

Where do I start? Our experience at this hotel was far from what we expected. The property is a dated, mom-and-pop apartment/Airbnb style with little to no sense of luxury. Our booking was mishandled upon arrival, and we stayed in the so-called "suite" for three nights. However, the "suite" was a basic two-bedroom apartment with minimal upkeep and a worn-out feel. Unfortunately, things only worsened when we were moved to the loft we originally booked. The loft was a nightmare—one air conditioner attempting to cool a two-story space was utterly inadequate. The temperature was unbearable, making it impossible to sleep. Our kids, supposed to sleep in the loft, had to come downstairs because the hot air rose directly to their beds.Breakfast was monotonous and uninspired, with very little variation each day. The limited options were often not enough to feed all the guests, leaving us disappointed. We also attempted to get a light lunch, which only added to our frustration. Despite being the only guests at the time, the service was lacking. When we asked Spyros for a couple of pizzas, he initially agreed, only to return and inform us they had none available. Instead of offering an alternative, we were left to fend for ourselves, ultimately walking to a nearby bakery to find something for the kids to eat. To our surprise, 45 minutes later, other guests were served toasties. When I inquired about this, Spyros replied, "You didn’t ask."Another low point was the day we switched rooms. Instead of receiving assistance, we were told to move our luggage—four large suitcases—from one two-story building down and up another. It was an exhausting and completely unexpected task.I could go on, but this review has a character limit. Suffice it to say, this stay was far from the relaxing and enjoyable experience we had hoped for.

Great great place. We stayed with 2 little girls and had a lot of fun!the family that runs the places is very welcoming and helpful.

We had a beautiful holiday experience at this hotel, our kids loved the pool, the rooms are big and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful and fun. The nearby taverna is also excellent. Highly recommend a stay here.

Please be aware that it's it's a slightly remote location, so not a lot close by. But there is a restaurant, a grocery store and plenty of beach access... everything you need for a few days of relaxation :)

Everything was great ! The staff, the facilities, the location, food… wonderful,

The location of Irides is excellent. Right on the beach so you can choose to lounge by the pool and go for a sea swim! The facilities were locally with exceptional views of the pool and sea. It was beautiful seeing the lights of Athens in the distance at nights. Breakfast was excellent and when I commented that I loved the Loukoumades (Greek donuts) they were on the menu again the next day for me! Beautiful family run hotel with wonderful hospitality and facilities

    Nothing. It’s was exceptional

Spiros was Great host. Free breakfast was great. Location is amazing. There is a taverna (which is very good) and a supermarket within 5 minutes walk. Would recommend.

Not too many options for food after the local taverna. Plenty of places in souvala which is a 25 min walk or 5 euro in a taxi if you can get a local one.

The owners were friendly but it was like going back 30 years.

Aegina does not have good beaches to swim in. We thought differently. After one night we left and went to Athens. The owners were friendly but it was like going back 30 years.

    10SoniaPosted on: 7-4-2024

The breakfast was excellent overlooking the pool and sea.

This family run hotel has exceptional customer service. Spyros is on hand and knows all guests by name. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily, nearly all rooms have sea views. We loved the pool and proximity to sea, not sand here but flat rock and piers built make it easy access. The views are amazing and breakfast area is wonderful to sit looking out to sea. Good selection at the breakfast buffet and the pool bar is open all day.

Nothing we didn’t like but be aware the hotel doesn’t do evening meals apart from a BBQ evening. There is a pizza restaurant very near by and a supermarket (hotels has kettle, sink, plates and cutlery but no cooking appliances). Otherwise it is 2.5 km pleasant walk along the seafront to the nearest town with several restaurants and cafes.

The Pool was lovely and so close to the beach. Orange juice was excellent and beds comfortable

Not many restaurants close by and breakfast was very basic

    10MaximPosted on: 5-29-2024

Breakfast is very homelike, like your grandma is cooking.Very fresh and different every day.Berries and veggies, along with eggs.Couldn't go wrong with that.

    Nothing to dislike.
