Xanthippi Hotel

We had a wonderful, peaceful, and relaxing stay at Xanthippi. Breakfast was more than enough and very tasty. The hotel is just a 1.5–2 minute walk to the beach, and about 8 km from Aegina port a taxi costs around €10–15. The facilities are more than adequate, and it’s also very suitable for families with children. The owners are kind and attentive. The Wi-Fi connection is excellent, you can even use it from the beach. A highly recommended place to stay in Aegina.

Clean and quiet and great location

Policies were not clear. No one informed us beforehand that we needed to pay daily for the beach towels. Towels were not changed daily. Beach is not free access for guests but needed to purchase something from the restaurant on the beach to use the facilities.

*Our room was a good size, with comfortable beds. It was a nice modern minimalist style. The bathroom was excellent and had a roomy shower. Everything was kept very neat and clean. The large balcony had a spectacular view! We enjoyed this best of all.*The location is outstanding: walking distance to an adorable Greek port village that has wonderful tavernas and anything else one might need; a very short walk to a lovely sand beach; parking.*The staff was friendly and always helpful. The laundry service was quite useful and reasonably priced. The ladies did a great job.

*When booking (all 3 rooms) we chose the option that included breakfast. That did not happen. The fine print on the receipt we printed indicated "breakfast not included", and we didn't notice it. Once here, you had to make an appointment the day before to have breakfast the next morning--not at all convenient.*The hotel's beach chairs and umbrellas were not available during our stay. We were forced to pay the taverna owner for his or buy a drink or food to use them. We felt this was unfair and inconvenient.*Saying that there was a kitchenette was deceptive. There was a mini-fridge; a sink; 3 bowls, 3 coffee cups, a knife, 2 forks, 2 tiny teaspoons, a tablespoon, and an ice cream scoop; an electric tea kettle of sorts; and, unfortunately, 2 electric burners that are kept deliberately non-functioning. There are no cooking utensils or pots and pans at all. A notice informs you that cooking is prohibited and the burners do not function. Wow! We were counting on an actual kitchenette for breakfasts and some meals. That was an unpleasant and disappointing surprise.

The room was part of a modern building complex of rooms that has a beautiful garden and a view to the sea. It was clean, spacious, nicely decorated with good wi-fi and daily cleaning service.

When requesting a double bed the hotel stuff are connecting two single beds by means of an extra mattress. The final result wasn't as comfortable as expected. Also instead of double bed blankets we received two single bed blankets. The windows of the balcony didn't have shutters, instead there were blackout curtains in order to keep away the sun. Unfortunately the sun was going through at an extend that was waking us up early in the morning.

Proximity to a very nice beach with sunbeds and umbrellas provided by the hotel. Great for snorkeling. Very nice garden with lots of rosemary.

I loved the location. Definitely will rent a car next time to explore the island. Taxi is available reasonable price to travel to the main port. Limited buss service but reliable, always arrived on time. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. I will go back again.

Everything is very clean. Beach with clear water is one minute by foot. They are pet friendly. They have their own parking. If are looking to rest, this is your place. Beds are very very comfortable. We got free cot and staying for the baby. Staff is super nice, willing to help with everything.

We had no complaints

A great and intimate hotel, not far from central Souvala's supermarket, port and restaurants. The hotel itself has a very good restaurant. The Private area on the public beach 1 minute walk was the highlight as we enjoyed the place and spent most of the time on the beach. The staff and and owner were exceptionally nice and friendly. Will recommend this place and hope to come back again soon!

Location was wonderful with ocean views and easy walk to a nice beach.

A sharp knife and a few more pieces of cutlery in the kitchenette. The room only had one bread and butter knife.

Staff was accommodating, we were allowed in the room before check-in time which was greatly appreciated given the scorching heat outside. Great location, room with a view and excellent facilities including parking space.

A problem with the drain pipes in the toilet was fixed immediately.

Very near to the beach with excelent sea view. Free sun umbrella and sun beds for the guests. Good price/quality. The room is equiped with ceiling ventilator which is very usfull. The staff is rellay nice and helpfull. Good food in the hotel's restorant.

Slower serving time in the hotel's restaurant, but it does not impact the overall experience :)

Location is amazing with easy access to the beach and beautiful landscaping around the entire property

Shower was small with shower curtains getting stuck on us while showering.
