Ostria Hotel & Apartments

The hotel is well kept and clean, with beautiful views of the bay and out to sea. Best of all was the attentiveness of the receptionist and his genuinely thoughtful care, providing what we needed for enhanced comfort. The tortoises are a star attraction.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The owners/staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend and definitely stay there again!

convenient to the Gavrio Port.Great price, nice little pool, super handy for our last few nights in Andros. Surprisingly large space with a little balcony overlooking the Sea, but because you are in town, you hear the occasional car when on the balcony, which we didn’t mind, that’s life in a Port town…no problem with sound shen inside. great little kitchenette!

I liked how close it was to the beach and everything else important.

Although the apartment was spacious and comfortable in that sense, it wasn't being cleaned enough which is important especially when you have a small kid. It could also provide us with more amenities like a soap and a sponge in the kitchen and a brush for the balcony. They say they have access to a wifi but not all rooms can connect to it. Ours for example couldn't as the signal was very weak.

Great location, comes with indoor parking. The facilities were all clean and well took care of. The receptionist was really lovely and kind. Recommend to everyone visiting Andros.

The staff were very kind and provided very helpful information to visit other towns and places. The bathroom & room spaces are moderately updated, good quality towels. I liked my light filled seaview room and the patio. It is a short walking distance from the port and nearby all nice restaurants, right next to BP gas station, bus stop in Gavrio.

Please install a shower head holder. I wish the bed was a little softer. I would have slept better if the sheets were all cotton material and have fluffy pillows. Minor updates to these items will make a huge difference and perfect.

The hotel is charming and very well located. The room was very clean and spacious. It has very nice areas like swimming pool, lobby.

We were very cold. It was a bit chilly in the room, but more importantly, we only had a single sheet to sleep on, which was light.

Freezing cold - heating didn’t work. WiFi didn’t work in my room

I liked the location. It was near the center of Gavrio. The person at the reception was friendly.

The housekeeper never cleaned the surfaces of the tables and we had ants. She never cleaned the mirrors. The fridge was dirty when we arrived. We found a shirt from a previous guest in the closet. The floor was never mopped. And she said she could return to clean the room after 12 so we had to leave without showering because there was no warm water at that time. The hotel was big and they decided to put us in a room next to where there were doing construction every morning. Out of all the rooms why were we placed there? We went to celebrate a birthday and we were woken up to drilling every morning. I called the reception to tell them to clean but nothing was done. I cannot recommend this place at all.

For a kitchen apartment-I had to cry. It was impossible to cook anything. I asked for a kettle (really! - not even a pot to boil water in room). They did give me an electric kettle that we had to scrub scalded milk out of. No dish towels or dish soap - again they did give me a small glass of dish soap when I went to reception to ask. For cleanliness- my husband had to clean out dirty fridge before we used it .

The location is very convenient: 5 min walk to town on the right, 5 min walk to a supermarket on the left and lovely beaches 15 min on the left. Welcoming staff, a room with a balcony, everything was perfect, thank you!

Nice room with sea view, swimming pool

hungry cats kept us off our balcony because they kept trying to get into our room! Also it came as a surprise that breakfasts had stopped at the end of September.

Lots of room,air conditioner worked well,short walk to townsite.

Pool was not available.

No help with luggage up 3 flights of stairs. A bottle if water since the tap water is salty.
