Pros +
- Lovely ambience. Some staff could be more client focused. Nice pool area.
- Excellent location in the centre of this lovely town, close to the cathedral. The room was large and very comfortable. Both the cloisters and the garden were being refurbished so sadly not looking their best. Good breakfast and we liked the EV charging in the car park.
- The bar staff were lovely. Parking facilities were excellent and easy to find and use.Location was excellent. Room was well appointed.
Cons -
- A couple of the staff are rude.
- Access to the underground car park is via a lift, which is a tight fit for a wide car (ours is 1.97 metres wide) and we sustained a scrape on the way out. The spaces were also quite narrow, fortunately the ones for EV charging were wider.
- There was a limited amount of coffee and tea in the room for instance there was no breakfast tea - only herbal infusions - and only one coffee bag. There were renovation works during our stay which we were not previously notified about and which detracted from the ambience of this beautiful place.

It is always a great pleasure to stay at the Paradore of Plascencia. The staff are amazingly warm and friendly. The location is excellent and the hotel has so much character!
I disliked having to leave!
The historic building was breathtaking to be in. Wonderful breakfast in the old monastery refectory.
The hotel is stunningly beautiful. Was under renovations when i was there so no gym was disappointing. Could use some comfy couches in lobby to enjoy a drink/coffee with a book.
Charge for parking
As with many paradors, it is in an incredible historical building. Our room was lovely and quiet and we enjoyed having drinks in the small bar and had a superb lunch in the restaurant. Very good off-season rate as well.
We did not have breakfast there - for €20 each it seemed overpriced.
Lovely place, helpful staff, great location and very comfortable.1
Gorgeous building in the center of the historical center. Huge, spacious room. Wonderful bathroom, double shower and a heated drying rack! Very comfortable. Great pillows. Beautiful towels and linen. Spotlessly clean and serviced every day.Parking was a little scary to enter and communication not good but it was convenient, if expensive.
Communication not good. They supplied an app in English but it gave little information. I only found out there was a gym and spa by happening upon the door during a Spanish language tour of the building. (Which was a good tour and free. The guide translated bits for me, very helpful) A map of the building with some historical information would have been greatly appreciated. It was like staying in a museum, so many fascinating things to see - but hard to find them or understand what you were looking at.No tea or coffee making facilities or water to drink - a little surprising for such a high class hotel and missed.A lot of renovation work going on which closed off the cloister and was a bit noisy- but it’s understandable that they need to do that. And the rooms were perfectly quiet.Spoiled the calm though.Breakfast was lovely. Beautiful room and fantastic service and a wonderful arrangement of offerings however 20 Euros was quite expensive, especially if all you wanted was a cup of coffee. There are cafes in town.
An extraordinarily interesting building and very comfortable and large room. Excellent meal in the restaurant
It wasn't possible to eat much of anything in the bar before 20.30 which makes a long wait for weary travellers. A kettle in the room would have been good
Love the whole atmosphere, the history of the place and the detailed interior of everything
Beautiful and exceptionally clean. Very historic and grand. Car parking was tight getting on the car elevator, a unique experience. It is best to have a small vehicle in Europe.
Had to ask to get the room we paid for. The first one given was a standard room. Room 319 is the one in the picture. I assume it is a one of a kind.
This is a Parador on a monumental scale with two exceptionally grand staircases, a Gothic chapel, a substantial gallery round a courtyard and beautifully panelled ceilings (some original, some restored). As Paradors go, the room was smaller than the average one but it was extremely comfortable and had a mini-sala. Reception was top class and very helpful.
Car parking was somewhat tight and also a tad on the expensive side. It was noted (too late) that there was parking also (free?) just outside the Parador. However, I would not judge this Parador on parking alone. The central courtyard is a tad lifeless and empty. No central fountain and no beautiful small lemon trees like the ones at the the Parador de Guadalupe. This area has great potential
very easy to find, parking was simple and location was excellent for accessibility to local bars and restaurants in the plaza
nothing, it was ideal
Accommodation and staff were excellent.Property and furnishings magnificent.
Parking difficult. Directions to access requires help of management and map of town centre. Not adjacent to main entrance. Lift to parking area small. Tight for larger vehicles. Parking spaces tight. If car park full, manoeuvring from space and ‘line up’ for lift access could be most challenging. And unexpected 15€ charge made for usage.
Excellent location in the center of town, easy walking distance to the cathedral. Historic building nicely maintained. Underground parking with a lift that takes your car down. Good restaurant with attentive and friendly staff, and a quirky night bar in the cellars.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Some paradores have them, some don't.
Large comfortable room with big bed and crisp sheets. Excellent food in restaurant. Friendly staff and a very unusual parking experience.
I stayed in 4 Paradores and this is the most exceptional one.Very capable staffThe car lift was a real experience Very big rooms
the food area in the breakfast room should be larger
The reception staff were more than helpful when there was an error on my booking, caused by me.
Breakfast at 20 euros each was too expensive I thought.
Absolutely stunning property. Was truely like staying in in a Royal Palace! Such a beautiful building with period furnishings. Staff were very busy but remained calm and helpful at all timesEven our lead in room type had a separate sitting room with comfy chairs. It was huge.If you are looking at reviews and wondering if it's worth the price, stop looking and book it!
