Hotel Ciudad de Plasencia

Touring on a motorcycle, 1 night stopover. Friendly staff, exceptionally clean, great aircon. Dinner and breakfast filling and good value. Went out of their way to help with my dodgy Spanish. Open air on site parking.

Not an issue, but iffy kerb appeal, located in the middle of a dusty, drab industrial estate. Revelation once inside.

Staff were excellent. They even had a spot for us to keep our bikes for the night. The food was so-so but the waitstaff were really nice.

Location, restaurant food

We stayed in the hotel overnight on our way from Spain to Portugal. It was perfect for a pit stop. The room was clean, the shower was great, and the beds were comfortable.

Staff excellent. Food well priced and tasty. Terrace and salon for just sitting and reading. Easy access by car. Off road parking.

Noise of people getting up, going to work.

We chose this hotel for the outside parking with no height problem for our transit van. Price was also reasonable. Very warm welcome from receptionist who spoke good English, much better than our Spanish. Good quiet location for our drive from Malaga to Santander. Good bar restaurant area with plenty of seating options and menu of the day. Little shop selling local products and souvenirs but was closed when we discovered it. bus into the town. Huge bathroom! Balcony. Fridge. Comfortable and quiet stay. We took our own kettle and teabags. Would stay again.

Not much to see around the industrial area. We ate evening meal in the restaurant but the beef steak and pepper was disappointing, it looked more like a spare rib with lots of bone and hardly any meat. Hubby was ill after but suppose cant prove the cause. My salmon was beautiful. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

Perfect location for us as an overnight stop on our way south. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent and cheap evening meal, comfortable bed, hot shower. Perfect.

It didn't matter to us but it is located out of the town centre and there is nothing to do in the immediate area.

We have used this hotel before. Location good for motorway. We will use it again.

Good bathroom and comfortable bed. Free parking.Outside of the city so you’ll need transportation if your objective is to do city tourism.

It’s located in the middle of the industrial park, during the week it might not be the best place to be as a tourist.

Hotel position, perfect for travelling from the Algarve to Santander. Good price, comfortable bed, nice room and facilities. Decent parking.

Restaurant a bit stretched as 2 coach loads of tourist in occupation. A bit noisy at times because of this but they did stop talking outside our door when asked!

I was rather concerned when I saw that the hotel was in an industrial area. However, it only took about 10miutes to drive into the city. Our room was very quiet and clean, and we could see our car parked in front of the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. Dinner was extra, it was very simple but substantial and good value.

Our visit was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and enthusiastic. Restaurant and food, again, excellent.The man on reception was kind enough to translate the menu into English for us. They had a shop selling local products as well.Quite a few locals came in for drinks or to dine - always good sign.It has a car park - on siteIt was close to the motorway junction.

Why is this property an 8 rating. It is a real gem.

Five Star Staff....in a fine 3 star hotel.You will be hard pressed to find a hotel of this standard for 1!(the price.The breakfast is also better than some establishments claiming to be 5 * .Alberto is a TRUE GENT The Bar Staff made our stay so enjoyable.would I recommend this place.........you bet I would!.

Stafff were very friendly and accommodating, beds were comfy enough.

the room looked tired, wall paper was peeling off.Teo single beds next yo each other pretending to be a double bed?Swimming pool was a glorified cup of tea.The hotel photos are very misleading

Room was big. Great variety of food for breakfast including almond milk for coffees. Comfortable bed and powerful shower.

Looks like they open the swimming pool at 12am so the day I was leaving I was unable to use it. It should be open earlier than that as some people might like to have a swim straight after breakfast.

Reception desk was efficient. Breakfast is ok

Pictures in booking.com show a nice pool area. Reality is that pool is super small and pool area was not very well maintained (good job photographer!) Room and hotel need some serious renovation

Good location to sleep while traveling with pool and restaurant. Nice personal.

There were issues with the key and lock, no pool towels and the pool schedule very inconvenient if you check in late.
