    • Location
    • Location and breakfast
    • Great location by the beach and a good breakfast. I would probably come back to this hotel if I really wanted my kids to have the pool. The Mercure hotel is just as close to the boardwalk but it doesn't have a pool. With my small children, the pool and the location was important. If I were at a lower rated hotel or a campground, I may have understood the ants or the service. As I say, if I were to go back to Trouville looking for a pool and a great location with small children and I had no other choice, I would risk it again but otherwise, I would be working really really hard to find a better solution.

    Cons -

    • Staff are very rude. at 11:05 they knocked on the room with all the receptionists, regardless of the fact that the ¿do not disturb¿ sign was hanging. There was a very important zoom call. forced to move On my check out. Very poor service
    • Some of staff were not knowledgeable about the areaCouldn’t take beach towel off property to use and then return
    • I rate the hotel with 2 stars (and that's generous) because I had ants in my room for the whole stay. From the minute I got to the room they were on the coffee table, the nightstand and the bed and eventually in all the snacks I had brought for my two small children (a necessity). When I informed the front desk, I found the response to be totally lacking in sympathy with the staff member unapologetically explaining that it was a normal phenomenon with the damp weather but that they would treat the room. I was informed no other room could be offered because the hotel was fully booked. There was nothing to do but accept the solution but honestly, it was how the conversation was handled that really bothered me. The hotel was expensive for our two-night stay and it claims to be 4 stars. Other than the ants, our room was clean but a little tired looking. I spent the rest of the trip putting my babies formula, snacks and anything with food, even the coffee cups in the room into plastic bags, in the bath when it was not being used and on high shelves. Reassuring my 4 year old that she could sleep in the bed although we found ants in there which freaked her out. Not the 4 star experience. When I checked out, I informed the same staff member that there continued to be a problem with ants even after the treatment. Honestly, just so they could investigate a bigger problem. Again, I got an explanation that it was normal and perhaps I had attracted them in with my childrens snacks. No "Sorry about this" or "I wish we had another room for you" or "Let us comp your breakfast". Nothing. It was as if she would have been perfectly OK at check in handing the keys over while saying "Just so you're aware, you'll be sharing your double standard with a colony of ants". I had to ask her to just give me the space to say it and to listen rather than dismiss me. It was uncomfortable to say the least...

Overall very nice hotel, super friendly staff, super good breakfast, felt like home. Just a bit overpriced, the rooms are not so new, especially bathrooms and toilets.

Location and the reception and dining areas were nice Breakfast was very extensive and breakfast staff really good

Room was tired, not very clean with dust all over some of the areas and the floor. Room was a tight fit and bathroom and toilet in particular were smallI. I had requested parking via booking.com message and email but was told I had none on arrival. I specifically booked this hotel for the parking!11 had no towels on arrival so had to fetch them from reception. And it appeared toiletries provide had been previously used as body lotions were open.

    A bit modern

    8JanuszkPosted on: 8-13-2024

Very good locationGood reception service and cleaning personnel doing their best.

In hot days air condition would be nice to have.Rooms and bathroom require some renovation but in general acceptable.Finding parking place is challenging in high season and costs Euro 30 per day.

A beautiful place in a quiet area with a nice view of the sea. We’ll be back

    4GeroldPosted on: 8-11-2024

Location, in walking distance to the beach of Trouville.Covered pool on terrace.

Forget about the availability of parking space in the hotel garage during peak season. You need to park your car on public parking facilities just outside the hotel and you have to renew the parking fee every 24 hours (24 EUR).On one day, they removed all the towels but didn't put new ones, The shampoo in the shower has not been refilled, the fridge in one room did not work. The coffee capsules for the coffee machine have not been replaced. Removed one coffee cup without replacing it.The hotel does not have air conditioning in the rooms. It was very hot and sticky inside.

    6PetrovaPosted on: 8-7-2024

    Pleasant

There was a large party/concert next to the hotel which lasted until 2 am. It was so loud that it was not possible to sleep until then.

    9AylaPosted on: 8-5-2024

It was an excellent stay. The hotel is well located, quiet and close to the beach

Nice hotel in nice place. BIG hotel required good guests management, but this was not a case for this hotel. Ordered room doesn't correspond to received.

My room was ordered with harbor view. There was not harbor visible from our balcony. Room 222 was on second floor with view to the entrance where smoking area was organized. My non-smoking room was full of smoke if we open balcony. It was my birthday, but... nobody in hotel recognized this ... usually hotels took attentions to guests personal celebrations ( a specially they copying my passport and etc.) In addition I was requested to pay city taxes twice (when check in and then when check out!!!) Thanks got I have my payment confirmation with me, but they even not believe me when I told that I already paid yesterday. Swimming pool is COLD and full with children, not possible to swim.
