- I rarely write reviews, but it's hard not to write one here. I didn't expect to see such a comfortable, brand new chalet. A very beautiful fireplace, excellent and comfortable designer furniture, and absolute comfort with a terrace and a view of the Alps. Very well-kept grounds, pristine nature. I was very surprised by the heated landscape pool. The spa center includes a wood-fired sauna, Turkish bath, outdoor jacuzzi, and something I saw for the first time: an outdoor wood-fired hot tub. There is a mini zoo on the grounds where we met an alpaca. They organized a horseback ride along the Soča River for us. In the evening, we had a magnificent dinner made from local products. We are very grateful to the staff for such a wonderful weekend.
- Fantastic stay with a stunning location in a beautiful quite side valley (car advisable to reach and move around). Hiking trails and rivers close by. Quite vast hotel area in the greens, with cars only allowd to park where one can walk and kids can play freely. Breakfast and dinner were of fantastic quality, the menu featured local dishes, freshly prepared! Can definitely also be recommended to families, as they have a swimming pool, an animal farm a small playground and a fire place on-site.
- A truly charming place with a stunning view of the mountains. The whole area looks like an enchanted village – such a magical atmosphere! There was even an alpaca being taken for a walk. The pool was available all day, and the outdoor hot bath was perfect for relaxing after a day full of trekking.
Cons -
- The only small downside was the restaurant – the waitress seemed to be still learning, as she forgot one of the dishes. It wasn’t a big deal, but we’ve been to hotels and restaurants with slightly better organization and buffet options. It’s also good to know that the rooms aren’t very spacious, but it wasn’t an issue for us since we didn’t spend much time there.
- It would be nice if the spa services had specific hours and it was included in the price Such as open from 4-8pm and the cost of the rooms were just a little bit more to cover spa services. I never saw anyone using the spa services while we were there.
- It would be helpful if the hotel created its own map of the recommended hiking spots, where to park, where to find the trailhead, etc. We had a bit of trouble finding trailhead, etc.

Village is so cute. Restaurant serves amazing food. Staff is kind and accommodating. This place is a gem and close to the Soca River. Room was big and shower pressure was great. Easy parking and check in and check out. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Slovenia.
Good location. Good food. Very friendly staff and beautiful scenery.

The setting is spectacular. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and you feel like you are in a private mountain hideaway. We loved our stay here.
It would be helpful if the hotel created its own map of the recommended hiking spots, where to park, where to find the trailhead, etc. We had a bit of trouble finding trailhead, etc.
The style of the cabins and that my cabin had a chimney. The staff was very friendly.
Cook of the hotel restaurant charged 20 € for preparing my trout I caught. Without sides, thats too much.
The breakfast and other food was delicious. I like very much Spa center. Especially the location is perfect, quiet and picturesque.
Everything was perfect, it’s so beautiful location, surrounded by mountains, outdoor jacuzzi and swimming pool with a heating system was great , very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was nice and delicious
Holiday in LepenaI just want to say THANK YOUMy sister and I stayed for only one night, which is very disappointing, since this place needs to be visited for at least 3 nights, but unfortunately we already had other plans, we needed to go furtherEverything is amazing hereThe territory, the views, the mountains, the houses, the spa, the staff, the restaurant...I have nothing to complain about, you are simply amazing, the service is top-notchWe will definitely come back to you in the summer with the whole family
Great holiday in the mountainsMy friends and I needed to stay near the Soča River, we chose the hotel Pristava LepenaIt is definitely worth the moneyEverything is perfect: location, views, room, spa, poolWe absolutely loved it, the restaurant, the food there, the staff, a very nice and friendly atmosphereWe were also very impressed by the horses, and a small farm with goats, rabbits and chickens, you can feed and pet themBut most of all we were impressed by the cleanliness, well-groomed territory and SILENCEDespite the fact that the hotel was full on our arrival, we never heard other guests100% recommended
I usually don't write reviews, but now I just can't keep quietI stopped by on business and decided to stay at the Pristava Lepena hotel, which I have never regrettedExcellent location, well-kept clean territory with beautiful natural landscapes, very pleasant and friendly staff, both in the hotel itself and in the restaurantThe restaurant dishes are very tasty, I recommend trying the ribs, you will definitely not regret itThank you, Pristava Lepena,
Bad
The breakfast was a poor choice, leaving much to be desired in both quality and taste. The room was no better, with an uncomfortable mattress that made sleep nearly impossible, adding to an overall unpleasant experience.
Beautiful location
Grumpy staffHorrible foodVery overpriced No cancellation policy
The host is extremely helpful and friendly, and the apartment is incredibly charming and in a great location. Super clean, super comfortable. Strongly recommend.
Definitely one of a kind location. Unbeatable, anywhere in the world. The village is nestled in the mountains, yet super comfortable and accessible. Walk to the Soča River and enjoy its cold emerald waters on a hot day. Hike to Krnsko lake which is a wonder of the world. Staff at hotel was extremely attentive and kind. The restaurant served first class meals, which you wouldn’t expect for this remote location.
Music from outdoor speakers at the restaurant is not necessary (and a bit disappointing). We were there to enjoy the sounds of nature (and silence) - the last day the music was tuned off at our request and it was fantastic.
The location, views pool, and restaurant were amazing.
They make you pay 60 euros to use the standard hot tub…which just felt rediculous given it was right next to the pool. Beds uncomfortable.
We only stayed at Pristava Lepena Village for one night, but we will be back for sure. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful, our cottage was very cute and cozy and the mountains surroundig the hotel are just beautiful. Also the hotel is very dog-friendly! The outdoor Spa Area is breathtaking, Spa feeling but in the middle of nature.
Unfortunately you have to pay an extra fee for using almost anything in the spa-area except for the outfoor pool. The restaurant at the hotel has very little meatless options, all of them based on mushrooms, so a bit uncreative.
I definitely recommend this hotel.Very nice location. The look and feel of a real village. Spent the night in a luxurious house.Very clean, cozy, modern, despite the improvisation of the village.Heated floors and a chic fireplace. The hotel also has a spa center where you can have a good time. During my stay at this hotel, I tried the Jacuzzi, I give it 10 points!I spent an unforgettable time in this hotel. Thanks to the hotel staff for their efforts and friendliness!I wish this place prosperity.
Location is good with some exceptional walks. Mountain views. Remarkable drive over the mountains from Ljubliana (about 2 hours of zigzag roads). Off season so there were few tourists. Staff were helpful in trying to resolve problems.
The site is tired and and the accommodation needs reconditioning. The first room we were given had malfunctioning lights, a badly leaking basin and other minor problems so we were upgraded to a newer and larger chalet unit overlooking a sea of solar panels. Unfortunately, we could not have a shower for the first day as the boiler had not been turned on, and when we could the bathroom flooded due to poor door seals. Stairs to the bedroom were poorly designed and very steep so not good for carrying cases and unsuitable for anyone who is at all unsteady. The restaurant (run by different management) has good food but is seriously over-priced - (there is a very friendly and more appropriately priced restaurant (Klin) only a few hundred metres from the bottom of the entrance drive). Breakfast was included but coffee very weak so we had to order Expressos and these were charged as extras.
