La Barbarie Hotel by Eight Continents

The hotel is set in a lovely area. It was quiet with coastal paths nearby to explore.All the staff were courteous and always helpful.

Nothing to dislike really. Maybe bike hire would have been good. Nonetheless the local bus stopped nearby.

Good choice for breakfast, continental and cooked. Really friendly staff always eager to help. Good location, in easy reach of all amenities and sights but nice and quiet for relaxing. Great shower!!

Exceptional Stay. Regrettably we were given a smaller bed on arrival (a double but we asked through communication with hotel to upgrade) however this was very quickly sorted on arrival and we were given a very lovely room with king-size. Staff were ALL incredibly accommodating and couldn't do enough. Food was excellent. Dinner was so good we cancelled an alternative booking, to eat elsewhere the second night, to eat at hotel again. Just outstanding food. Breakfast was also 5*. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

The hotel is in a quiet area, near to a beach. The staff were amazing, very welcoming. There is plenty of parking on site. I prefer a continental breakfast rather than cooked and there was limited choice, but it was adequate and very fresh.

If you want a fridge in your room, you need to ask for one and they bring it the next day.

Very friendly and helpful staff. one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. Dinner was great especially the March special. Breakfast was very tasty, good to have a choice of hot food cooked to order

Staff can make or break any business, and in hospitality, more so. From the moment we arrive the staff were fantastic. They couldn’t do enough. The food was excellent too, great choice, especially the fish menu and good value for money. This explains why the locals eat here en mass. Lovely garden and pool area.

Rooms and bathrooms are a little dated but well appointed and comfortable.

Fabulous hotel! We had a wonderful stay - from the welcome on arrival and throughout our week’s stay, all of the staff were so thoughtful, attentive and friendly. The food is excellent, the hotel decor very tasteful and chic, our room very spacious and immaculate. I thoroughly recommend La Barbarie to anyone wanting a relaxing and peaceful holiday in a gorgeous rural setting.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were absolutely huge, and the bed extremely comfortable - a great nights sleep.

The hotel room and location were lovely. All staff very welcoming and accommodating, nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant.

Price was a little steep for one night.

A very lovely hotel excellent staff. Had dinner which was excellent good choice on the fixed menu. The ala carte again great selection. Room was a standard room and great bathroom comfy bed

Restaurant was excellent.We enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast was always well stocked and tasty. We will certainly book again on our next visit to Guernsey.

My only criticisms would be that there was not enough shower gel and face cloths were not provided. Recently in similar standard of hotel that we have stayed in these have been automatically provided although we have taken our own. On this occasion I didn’t!

Ambiance. Setting. High standards. Great staff. Excellent food. My go to hotel in Guernsey if I have my car.

The food for the evening and breakfast was outstanding 10 out of 10.Service was just as good.

Not your fault - I wasn't lucky with the weather; I should have liked a bath in the room after 2 or 3 days going to the airport and back.

The breakfast was excellent, the room was a good size and light and airy. The dressing gowns were a good touch as was the shortbread and bottled water.

The bathroom was dated, the blinds in the bathroom were broken snd didn't close and the floor was very cold.
